I'm thinking that may also be why God made scales! Speaking of which, can anyone recommend a good scale, preferably available on Amazon? It might be harder to mess up with a scale. That is, as long as Deb doesn't send that squirrel up here!
I can't quite figure out how it would be easier to mix by weight than by volume, but hey! whatever works best for the individual! I do have a decent 9V- battery-operated scale I got years ago from Office Depot, which I use all the time to weigh the amount of coffee beans (for me, 65 grams) that I'm going to use to make a pot of coffee. Things to look out for: look at the reviews and pay attention to comments about accuracy. My scale measures to the nearest gram, good enough for gummint work but wouldn't be as accurate as my graduated cylinders for really small quantities. For juice making, an accurate scale that measured to within 0.1 grams would definitely be better if there were any small amounts involved, like 2 ml or less of any individual ingredient.

I line up my flavors for the mix, uncap them and put the caps behind each appropriate bottle.

I use graduated cylinders to mix, by volume. Once the flavor goes in, I put the cap on the bottle.

Working from a base just above my "nominal" nic % and slightly below my preferred PG%, since any flavorings will bring the nic down and the PG up.
Similar to my method. I put the "not yet added" bottles on my left, and once I add the appropriate amount of an individual ingredient into my graduated cylinder, I move the bottle to my right.

uh huh ... I use an old Nemy clone as an atty stand when doing my coils. I forgot to screw the fire button in locked position. Pushed down w/ the screwdriver when turning the coil screw and oops! :(
Yes, that's what I said... you caught a hot one.

It's a special day for me, my 3 YEAR VAPAVERSARY!!!!
A very joyful 3 year vaperversary to you, Cathy! I'm 2 months and 1 day behind ya.

But some people can't tell left from right... :w00t:

Yep, many different "systems". Just figure out one that works for you and stick to it. Once you have YOUR routine, frequency of mistakes goes down :)

The Orchids from Vapor world have wonky bottom-fill screws. I exchanged them with some of my spares. It is a fairly universal screw, so you might do well to give up on the ones provided. I was afraid of messing up the base threads from trying to force them. I once had a frozen screw in a base, and ended up tossing the base.

Also, if the post screw is in too tight, don't mess up the screw-head trying to force it. I put some juice on top and in the hole, let it soak in, and used needle-nose pliers to get them to move.

Yep, Bells, a lot of people on the porches have three-year anniversaries coming up in February.

I am now a happy member of the Provarinati. Happiness is much better than pride.

Hey everyone. I wanted to give this group a shout out and introduce myself, since most of these kids I work with call me an old fart :)

This is my 3rd time giving vaping a go. The 1st two tries were with carts and they did not give me the needed overall satisfaction. This time I bought a tank and sub ohm box to start with. Over the last three months, I've bought two packs of stinkies which is what I bought per day before. I've not smoked one stinky in almost a month now!

I do have a slight case of shinyitis. I got a LEMO2 last week, which I currently use and love. Then had to go and order a Hannya RDA because the price was so low! Got some coil building supplies on the way and I already have ejuice mixing knowledge from my last tries.

I am really, really trying hard this time around and I am totally vested in not smoking another stinky!

Welcome, JD!

It's often said "third time's the charm" and hopefully it will hold true for you!

Yep, getting the right hardware, nic level and flavors is key.

And as 3mg says, we'll help you spend all your disposable income

Welcome to the front porch JDC. So glad you found us. We've all been through it and are more than happy to help you. Sounds like your off to a good start this time around. No smokey for a month, that's great. I too was a 2+ PPD smoker so I've got an idea of the habits you're kicking to make the switch to vaping. Well it can be done and sounds like you've to the right mind set to make it work.

We've also got a back porch where we can talk about anything we like. The Front Porch is for vaping topics. Please join us there too.

Well if any of you had thought about trying the Kanger STM they have changed it a little. It now has 1.5ohm Kanthal heads and air flow more for the people who like tighter airflow like the Nautilus. It still works for me but it is really aimed toward people that like the old way of vaping. Still has the RBA deck but you can build that with Kanthal too. I don't like the air flow valve as well because it has 3 settings as before. Wide open, medium tight and tight but can be adjusted with part of the wide open setting for people like me that use Ti or wide open for subohmers. Anyway if you get it from MVS that is what you get now. Still very easy to build on but I think you Nauti lovers would like it. Guess they thought they were missing a large part of the market and with all these sub ohm tanks out thought they would try something new. Not exactly a subohm now with 1.5 heads. But a lot more versatile then the Nautilus. Still in my opinion the best TC tank around and at the price with all the extras they give you a bargain.

It must notta been in here that I read it then. I just posted it, here and on the back porch, thinking maybe one of the places is where the talk was. I think I'm pretty well stocked up on stuff now, probably stocked up long before now, but talk about kayfuns got me to get 3 more. :) I have several devices and toppers and everything else that goes with them, and at least 20 to 30 years worth of nic (if my daughter's don't come back to vaping), so can't justify getting (or think about getting) the stuff in the links I posted, just hoping it was a good deal for someone.
I say that too but then think, if I drop one then I'll only have 67 left...
Totally agree on this point - I can go a couple of hours while working in the yard and not even think about needing a vape, but that definitely was not true with the old stinkies. I seem to vape more when I am sitting at my computer than any other time of the day...
Most of my vaping is done at the computer. Vape, buy something shiny, vape, buy something...

Welcome to the porch JD! Looks like you are off to a very good start. I tried several times before I got it working also. Right equipment, right amount of nic gets the job done. You're doing great! :)

First off, a warm welcome with opens arms.

Congrats on your month 'bakky free!

In retrospect, I'm somewhat amazed how I quit smokin' using those ol' carts (Satan's spawn). We're fortunate to have the current equipment and options.

C'on, pull up a sit down and enjoy the porches & porchers...

Not to worry, it only hurts a whole lot for a long time.
