Ken, nice job! :D It is a great feeling when you’re in the right spot at the right time time to help someone out?
Yes, it's nice to be at the right place at the right time.
How did you get that to come up? (And apparently no one did click the link to it I put up here. Sheesh.) I tried and tried and tried and all that came up was the link. You are the first person to get it posted properly. There are at least two threads dedicated to that video and all they have is a link too. Great video.

You have to replace everything before the video identifier from the http all the way through the v=

lol yeah, I've forgotten a lot of it too, but will have it to look back on.

Might be kinda neat to start new, cuz there is a lot here I've never learned, but I imagine that there will be many threads talkin bout how ya do this, that, or the other thing......so I'll likely learn a lot when I can do it as I read about it. Hopefully some folks will do some videos too.

Jup, that video was great....... explained it all very concisely. Many folks know it's all about the money, but didn't know exactly HOW it was all about the money til that video. Of course, Tx didn't take any money, but they're still putting regs in place......stupid ones too. Well, hopefully the house will vote no on a bill the senate passed. Someone awhile back posted a thing about campaign contributors to a particular legislator who was fighting vaping......and it was all BT BP

The comforting part is almost all of us will be in the same boat on this--scratching our heads. Saw the part about PMing and do hope they find some work around for that.

The legislation news is just depressing. We're up to 29 states with CTAs now. It boggles the mind. The legalize the other stuff yet selling cotton balls would be a felony. I sure hope you get a lot of very loud no votes.

I did that and did it the same way I always do it and it wouldn't imbed the video. The other two threads are by long time members and all they got was a red url like I did. I wonder if was automatically blocked for some reason and they fixed it. Just one of those weird things.

Jup FT, the gubbmint can't move fast to do anything we need.......takes em forever, but man......this antivaping legislation has happened quick!!! Not sure when the house is gonna vote, haven't been able to find it, but there are several bills. Mostly all dumb. At least they aren't proposing giant taxes at this point....and it's not as bad as other places.......but still bad. Don't wanna have to pay an extra 6.00 on everything I order online just to have to show my ID to prove I'm over 18

Tell me about it. We have communities running out of water so they told people they can only pump a foot of water a week into their swimming pools and millions of tax dollars into slick TV ads full of lies that demonize vaping. This whole thing boggles the mind. I can't wait for the day when this all unravels on them and they are forced to admit the truth about vaping. :grr:

And, they need to be prosecuted and do jail time for it. After all, it is attempted murder. Melodramatic? A bit. But, true nonetheless.

I do hope that day comes!! and soon!! I've been so fortunate to be able to get set up pretty much to where they can't take away my vaping, but for so many others, that is not the case.

I fully agree. It sounds melodramatic but how many people will die because they didn't quit smoking? How many deaths make it not melodramatic? One? Ten? One hundred? one hundred thousand? Half a million? These pseudo science vape-demonizing papers are taking their toll. People are beginning to believe that BS. It is going to cost lives even if they don't pass any laws. I really, really don't understand how these people can live with themselves.

I saw the stats a day or two ago, perhaps in the media section, of the number of people who used to believe vaping was safe vs now. What makes people blindly drink the Kool-Aid?

That is going to be a great day indeed, just hope I'm still around to see it.

I'm doing pretty well also on preparing, though now I find myself running the more dire what if scenarios over and over. I'm certain there's something else I need, I just can't figure out what it is yet.

Jup......but gov't sacrificing people's health, for dollars is nothing new, it's been happening forever........vaping is just the latest and one of the more blatent examples of it.

True and it baffles me how those people can live with themselves. I just, really, I just don't know what goes through these people's mind that make them think they are so superior than somebody else. They all probably claim to hate ISIS too.

Blatant. That's the truth. They have a life-saving tool and choose to demonize it rather than use it. Just because of money.

That's just plain sick. And criminal.

To me it's even creepier that they prostitute themselves to BT and BP also. If it was four hours earlier I could probably explain why simple greed was better than what they are doing but not at this hour. Really hope it haunts them for the rest of their lives that they were willing to condemn some people to an agonizing death rather than to research a bill and grow a spine.

ETA - I'd love to stay up later and work myself into more of a lather but I really need to get some sleep. G'night. :)

So anyone keeping up on the 'times they are a changing' w/ respect to the new forum. Will it keep all the existing threads? Will it keep our subscriptions to threads? Will our bookmarks still work w/ the new forum setup? That's likely what I'm most concerned about - having my existing bookmarks still work to find posts I've 'saved' links to over the years.

It's said, iirc, that bookmarks will be ok - if you're set with the current default page views (i.e. number of posts per page). The new software will only do 20 per page. I think Roly suggested, on links, to re-link/bookmark them once the change is done, to be sure they stay in the right place.

Threads and subscriptions should transfer fine. PMs will, I think, transfer - but all will go into one Inbox, so sorted folders will be munched into that.

The ones that I feel sorry for are the younger people who have the opportunity through vaping to avoid all the health problems that I have. Making access to it so difficult and expensive and losing all the advances that have come about it what is criminal. But the money is there they think. It makes sense to them to keep paying the costs of poor health attributed to smoking if they can make a buck or a million bucks but some will be able to find a way around it. I don't know how many vapers there are in the USA but I know there are a lot and when it comes time to vote hopefully they will vote these idiots out of their office and on to their golden parachutes. I just hope there are still going to be states that use sensible laws like child proof caps, sufficient labeling, possibly a small tax not 60-95%, plus not dictate the flavor you can have in your cigalike that just happens to be made by RJ Reynolds.

Also the reports on the SXmini M class are astounding. Now just when they are finding ways to make vaping even less harmful then it already is they are going to make it more harmful to our wallets. Of all the emails I sent through CASAA not one answer back from these, well I can't say what I think they are.

Well, just caught the tail end on CBS news but there was a doc on talking about the ecigs and kids. Seems they're quitting smoking but starting with ecigs. And of course then came the formaldehyde and other carp that comes along with the idiot mentality.

Jup, I didn't really understand about the bookmarks......Default # of pages is 10, mine is set to 40, so not sure what that's going to do to various posts here that I have bookmarked. Sounded like he said they'll transfer but you have to relink them?? that is a good point about older closed threads, hope they'll still be there, gonna go ask that too. I expect they will but wanna make sure.

Got told I was wrong, and just mainly stay on the porches now.
But I was right!

and this right here is why they keep getting elected..........most want to stick their head in the sand, and believe that the govt has our best interests at heart. They don't and haven't for a very very long time, if ever.
