anybody get an eleaf iStick 50w that doesn't function properly?I'm so very disapponited....

Oh no! What's going on with yours? While many folks have them and like them - it's not uncommon to hear about faulty ones.

Did you buy it from a vendor? Depending on vendor I'm hears anywhere from 30 to 90 day warranty periods.

Yep....got it from a vendor. Had purchased one for a friend....he loves it....so I splurged on my birthday and got myself one. Charged it, put my atlantis on it and after about 5 puffs.....power low on screen. Thought perhaps the tank....changed to a nautilus.....changed the settings for that particular tank, and it was good...for that afternoon. battery icon showing at least 7/8 full, until I tried to use it again..... power low on screen and won't fire. Doesn't matter how long it's charged.....the icon goes off showing fully charged .....until I try to use it. Sometimes I can get 4 or 5 puffs before it stops working. Afraid to keep charging the battery, since it doesn't seem to do any good and I don't want the thing to explode.
Vendor is asking that I send a video of it before starting a return process. I have neither the equipment nor the knowledge to make a video and send it. Very sad, as I wasn't asking for a refund....just want to return this for one that works

You know the thing well one of the things I like so much about these SX's is their adjustability with nickel. If you don't feel like a strong vape you can turn down the Joules and the Temp to suit how you feel at that time. It's totally different then just turning up or down the watts. The adjustability is almost endless. If turning things down isn't enough you can go to soft mode and if you want a stronger vape without being hot you can turn the J up and add a little temp but not so much that you get a hot vape and still get a stronger flavor and probably TH if you use enough nic. I only use 2.5mg so the throat hit is not really there. They just never cease to amaze me. I think this thing is a real winner. Ordered some spare parts for my Kangers and with what I already have I can completely rebuild one if need be. The new air flow control has 2 air slots and I ordered a couple of those to check them out. If I wanted to I could change out all my STM with new air flow controls and would have 6 of the newest upgrade. I am still undecided about the Provari and the Kayfun. I rebuilt the KF last night and put my fave juice in it and nothing tastes like it does. I can come close with the Kanger with nickel but there is something about that KF K4 that intesifies the flavor so much. I am glad I went with the real thing. Plus the Provari with the upgrades will be not only an awesome looking unit it works perfectly with Kanthal. Not really powerful enough for some subohmers at 20w but for me fantatic. I can't wait to see how the feature is that you plug in the price of a pack of smokes and it tells you how much you are saving. Kinda cool if you ask me.

Have you explained that? Sounds reasonable to me - they should understand...

It is sort of but nickel has such a low resistance to build a 1 ohm coil your coil would be a foot long. I just looked it up to build a nickel coil with 26awg 2.5mm it would be 128 wraps.
Wow, jup that's a tad excessive!

peach is my favorite, so far.
hehehe can't imagine that at all ms Georgia!!

((((((((((Yiddle))))))))))) good to see ya. But so sorry you're having issues with it. they seem to be either hit or miss. Lots of folks have no issues, but plenty have with the 50. I am with semi, tell you don't have the equipment to do that, and they need to replace it, or give you your money back.

Most of the problems with iStick 50s I have read happened after sub ohming or leaving them on a charger overnight. Now I know they are rated for sub ohm, the charging think I don't know, but I have 2 doing just fine. I do not sub ohm and remove the charger when the bars flash full, before the display turns off. Hopefully I will continue to have no problems

Don't know what it is, but it's pretty good. Strong cherry flavor:
5% Wild Cherry
2% Black Cherry
2% Coconut

I don't really taster the coconut though... Just a strong cherry.
What is that and where did you get it. I've been looking for a good cherry.

Ken, Mike and David, thank you for the glue tips. Pretty much no way to come into contact with it. The “plastic” part is slightly long and curved so you’d pretty much have to swallow it to get into trouble. Don’t use it often and will hold it for a backup but hate to toss it.

Nice to meet you Mattiem. This ALL new to me. Haven't quite figured out what ration of pg/vg I want to vape. 50/50/ seemed to heavy on my lungs and 100% pg sputtered and spit and seemed to harsh. I got the hubby to do some calculations for me last night, so I'm trying 70/30 and 60/40 to see what I'm most comfortable with :) I'm a kid in the candy store with all the flavors, but whadda know...peach is my favorite, so far.

A good peach flavor seems to be a popular quest around here. Glad you found on you like right off the bat.

The rest of the world seems to forget that not all of us can just whip out a video and post it to the world. Been less than a year since we were able to get rid of dial up. I'm with the explaining the situation fully and then letting us know who the vendor is if they aren't responsive. It's well known that there are problems with that model and since they were right out of the gate, you shouldn't have to suffer with it more than you already have.

Glad you're going to give the P3 another chance, mainly because you already own it. Glad you like your SXs. Nothing beats finding something you really like.

At 2% and 5%, those can't be TFA flavors.

he made it, but perhaps he'll chime in with which brand flavorings he used. Good cherry juices are hard to find.

In order:
Made it just today. I have a very hard time finding a cherry I like, and I actually like this one.
Yes, I made it myself. ;)
You welcome for the glue tips. I break mine so often, they were starting to cost as much as a PV, until I looked up superglue as a possibility. I use gorilla brand myself.
And....
Yep. TFA. Not only is cherry hard to find, but most are so strong that putting even 10% overcharges like the dickins. I used to use 10% TFA for all my flavorings, but my tastebuds went on overdrive and I can tell within 2 days if something is about to spoil.
Now I start at 5% and work up if necessary.

And since you guessed it ms. Tutu, YOU get to name it!
I was thinking of something like cherry coconut, coconut cherry, or nutty cherry, but the coconut isn't really even there. It's a subtle flavor, and I think that having it in tames the black cherry.
The wild cherry is full swing tho.

I have one and it's been a workhorse. Use it every day. Been vaping at 50 watts with my Atlantis 2 for over a week. I love it but I have heard they can act up.

Someone else said earlier they have a warranty. It's my understanding that it is 90 days. Having to show video of it is weird but I would get it swapped out. I bet your new one will be great.

I think they are the Glock of the vaping industry. You hear more complaints about them because they sell so many of them. Most of them work fine, IMO.

I'll have to think on that. Ever get that feeling when a name is on the tip of your brain but you can't quite get it to coalesce?

Weren't you the one getting a 3D printer? I'm seeing more and more talk around ECF about 3D printing mods and ohm meters and such. This, as you can imagine, really made me sit up and take notice today. Love to see Iffy's face if he ran across this guy (and not eating jokes, please, Iffy). Titanium? Design your mod and print up an indestructible version. Injured sea turtle gets 3D printed jaw - BBC News Bust your drip tip, print a better one.

I think I'd get more excited about a really good 2d printer.
