Also, if you read the descriptions carefully you can score several multiples of two.i still use protank coils, and they have the same coils listed as at least two (but I'm thinking it was three) different products. I know that they had evod and protanks listed separately, and I seem to remember getting three separate but identical products. And then 1.8 and 2.2 ohms, which since I adjust by watts...

Anyhow I followed the rules exactly and ended up with a lot of coils for 40 percent off thanks to their decision to list the same item as different products. And I got two packs of BVCs for my nautilus, all on the same order.

I've done that too with the PT/Evod/Anyvape coils. Still sitting on a pretty good stash of them from the last sale. Plus, you earn a few bucks in rewards points to use next time.

Kari, there's a philosophy over in the TFA thread to do what's called a "100 Drop Test". Each drop is the equivalent of 1% of the total mix, including nic, PG, and VG. You might consider giving that a whirl to come up with the percentages YOU like. (Each 100DT ends up being somewhere between 3-5mL, so you're not out too much if you don't like the results. VG is denser than flavorings/PG, so its drop size might be a bit bigger, but for this small of a mix, shouldn't be too bad.)

#1 looks like a button top :)

@Wolfenstark - Sir, that is one GORGEOUS mod :) Congrats!

Hi Dinger, I have read most of the TFA Thread and I am aware of the "100" drop test :) My problem is he lives 2 hrs. away and I have no idea how he would want it to taste. If it was something I was interested in - it would be much easier to determine if it tasted good. Who knows - maybe I will discover something I like that I wasn't planning on

I am going to Calgary in two weeks for my currently youngest granddaughter's 1st birthday and will see him then. So I will make an attempt of a small sample for him to try then.

@Wolfenstark - I too agree that is a beautiful mod - hope you are enjoying it:thumb:

Oh and since shipping to Canada costs more than the savings on coils - I guess I saved some money today :nah:

Just noticed a neat looking mod made from a 10 round Magpul PMAG.

Talk 'bout a 'smoking' PV...

BTW, absolutely luv da M16/AR15 platform! Need to assemble da rest of my ol' parts I have before I head to da St. Micheal armory in da sky. I relish in da 'Nam era configurations!
BTW, I'm also a .45 fan. If I can't hit 'em wid seven rounds, bury me...

The code works I just bought some coils from MFS.

I did use the code the first time - I just didn't think to grab the 1.8's as a set. I thought about placing a 2nd order, just to reuse the code.... Maybe toward the end of the month :D

Looks like the first winner is a vet so that's awesome.
jup that's great, and he posts a lot all over the forum. Happy for him.

I PIF'd my old 650mah twists to him and my purple 900mah spinner to his girlfriend. He has been struggling but his girlfriend is now 2 weeks smoke free:banana:
Wahoooooo happy for her!!!

I'm no expert, but the 2nd pic looks green more than blue. Never seen ones that look like the first one. Just to make sure you know the sammy 25r batts are a bit longer than most other 18650 batts

    • I would like to personally thank Washington State for putting so many people out of work and on the unemployment payroll as well as loosing hundreds of thousands of tax dollars. Way to go!! At this rate, you will be able to declare your state as the highest unemployment in the country!

Link didn't take me to a FB page so thought maybe it was a prank. Alas, no. Due to Legislative Pressure, Mt Baker Vapor is Relocating to Arizona - Mt Baker Vapor I have real mixed emotions about their decision to flee. Sure they say they are still going to fight WA state, from Mesa AZ. I'm also surprised about how few comments there are about this. :(

This was the first I'd heard of MBV's move. I skimmed the article earlier. Gonna give it a good read again. I live in Indiana, and there's all kinds of "smack" that's going to happen come July 1. My favorite B&M (not only because it's right around the corner from me) makes 90% of the juice it sells in house and to order. They have four locations just in my town alone. Plus a couple more in Indiana and a couple in Ohio. I don't buy much juice from them anymore, but I sure gave them 90%-plus of my "purchased juice" business before I started DIYing.....

Some of the legislation requires clean rooms, advanced video surveillance of the mixing area, and keeping various samples (locked away for random inspections). Yes, I want my juice to be safe, but REALLY - this seems like a bit of overkill.... {sigh}

Ok here I go. Someone recommended a mutual friend contact me about struggling to stop smoking even though they've been vaping for some time already. After I replied to their "Conversation" I thought I'd share it here too, in case it helps anyone else 'on' or 'coming' to the porch. So, it's a little long, but here's,

My story getting over the last few smokes a day.

oh my, oh my ... my friends my have oversold me. Ok - I was smoking heavily at the end of my 45 years of smoking - like almost 3 packs a day. I was also still under a lot of anxiety and stress not only from my daughters situation (lost her husband after just being married 3 weeks) and losing my job (that I had for 40 years w/ the same company). That's my brief background leading up to starting with vaping.

Janet quit smokes from day 1. Me, I thought this could work, but I'm going to have to work at it. I did have a mental set that I wanted to quit. Had mentioned it many times over the years to Janet - but she just never was ready to give it a try. So, I'm thinking - it worked for her. It can work for me.

I set my mind to not stress over quiting entirely or set a date / time limit on giving up the smokes. I was telling myself you smoked for 40 years - you ain't gonna quit cold turkey. Just start working w/ this e-cig thing to form a new habit. For the 1st couple months, I was probably smoking 1/2 pack a cigs a day. For me that was great - considering I was basically a chain smoker. And between smokes I was chain vaping (still do whenever I'm sitting down not doing anything - I'm an anxiety machine - my nerves are always on edge over something & and if there's nothing I make something up to be anxious about)

Then I read some study that said a minority of smokers are more addicted to the minor alkaloids in tobacco smoke then the nicotine itself. This was the time frame I 1st heard of WTA. It made sense to me, that I'm likely in that minority. No matter how much I vaped (18 mg nic) I just couldn't get near that satisfying feeling from having a smoke.

Enter WTA. We ran across a vendor right here in PA, that was great. He was one of the 1st to get into producing WTA juice. (He's no longer in business). He was great to talk with and we talked a number of times on the phone. His juice was expensive compared to just nic but we got some. It still didn't satisfy me like a cigarette but it was closer. I used WTA juice exclusively for at least a year. Even though it was costly it was less than a 3 PPD cig habit. Janet used it too - but only occasionally throughout the day.

So once I started vaping just WTA I was able get down to 4 or 5 smokes a day. Had to have 1 or 2 in the morning and after meals and before bed. This was well into the 3rd month. I was still was telling myself - don't hurry it - don't set a dead line. Be happy you're only smoking 4-5 cigs a day instead of close to 60. It was a major win in my mind, even though I was still smoking. Then I started working on not having a smoke for 30-60 minutes after waking and eating. Do this for a couple few weeks to break the habit part of grabbing a smoke. I was able to get by with 3 smokes a day - mid morning - mid after noon and mid evening.

So that pattern was going on for a few more weeks at 3 smokes per day. Still wasn't setting an end date - just getting by. OK some days was 3+, but basically I was at 3 a day. Then one day I realized it was going onto supper time and I didn't have a smoke yet - hmmm? Yikes! What's going on. T

That was the day it clicked - you can be smoke free tomorrow if you want. And I was - it was my son's birthday and that evening at his birthday dinner I said to him. "I haven't had a cigarette all day". I do believe I'm done with them. He said "Pop that's the best birthday present you could give me"

Honestly his reply was the encouragement to keep going forward smoke free. It's 3 1/2 years since then and I'm so happy to be smoke free.

If I can give any advice - make a commitment to be smoke free - stick with it - don't stress yourself to stop tomorrow. With commitment we can all do it at our own pace. It's often said - its the ones you don't smoke that count and that's the truth. Don't stress if you still smoke - be happy you smoke less.
You should get one of the prizes for that post!

There is a good thread about WTAs for anybody interested that I've been trying to find for a while. It's here Can you share your Whole Tobacco Alkaloid success stories? | E-Cigarette Forum

I also quit the same way in that I dual used for about 5 months, was beating myself up about it, went to to 24mg and then one day realized about 4pm that I hadn't had a cig that day. Kept off them the rest of the day and then the next I didn't want to break my no smoking "streak." Probably could have benefited from WTAs but didn't know what they were until after the rough bit was over.

Thank you. I was completely clueless.

Very fitting post for me today. I just purchased some WTA base and eJuice today. I've been vaping over 5 years and went from 2 1/2 pad to 5-10 smokes per day over that time. Been thinking about cutting it back hopefully to none and thought the WTA might be the nudge I needed. I know quiting has a lot to do with attitude and really wanting to.

When I started vaping, it wasn't to quit smoking even though I knew I should and it really wasn't mostly about the cost, vaping was fun and tasted a lot better and mostly got in the way of smoking.
Those last 5-10 hung on for months for me. I feel your pain. That is 40-45 a day you aren't smoking though. :)

I would have gotten more coils but I wanted the SMPL as well. Still saved just under $10 on Nautilus coils. Those two packs will last me a good while. I vape more with other attys.
She's a beauty Wolf! What kind of finish does it have on it?

I don't think I've seen button tops that look like #1. If they have the same rating, I'd go for #2.

Thanks, I thought so too, the other way just looks odd. This is the 1st time for me ordering button tops, so didn't know what they were supposed to look like. When they arrived, they looked like the 1st pic plus had a clear plastic covering on them. One site says removed the clear plastic, one says don't. Well, I only read the 1st site that told me to remove it, so I did, then I looked at the top and they had what looked like thick stickers. I couldn't find any info on it, so thought I'd ask here before I messed up 2 brand new batteries.

#1 looks like a button top :)

Both pics are of a button top battery. Just couldn't figure out which way was the right way.

I'm no expert, but the 2nd pic looks green more than blue. Never seen ones that look like the first one. Just to make sure you know the sammy 25r batts are a bit longer than most other 18650 batts

Yeah, the color is off (Google pic), but I was concerned how the top was supposed to look. I got mine at ligntningvapes.com so I know they are good, and they are the correct color. :)

Thanks all for the help! :) :vapor:

One of the myfreedomsmokes.com discounts that I wait for has come around again, as it does every couple of months.

It's 40% off on coils. The discount code is june40coil, limit of 2 packages of each kind of coil that you order.

I got 2 five-packs of Nautilus BVC coils, which will last at least until the next time the 40% discount comes around.

Thanks for the tip bigbells. Went easy on the CC, just bought 1 box of Kanger Nickel .15Ω coils for the sub tank. I didn't particularly like the sub tank when I tried it a couple months ago. Just thought I'd try it on a DNA40 mod for the discounted price of the heads.

Please remind us again when the next sale comes along.

Paging @2legsshrt, dang my turn to complain. I've been logged out twice in the last hour, even while being active on ECF.
I'm just amazed the site didn't crash during 15m frenzy. With that amount of traffic, that was quite an accomplishment.

Thanks for the link, been looking for some more info on WTA.

The 5-10 have been for the last few years. And right now it's not that I think I have to quit, I think I want to, and I think the WTA and some other changes might finally push me over the edge. I tend to smoke at specific situations, first thing in the morning. on the way back to work from lunch, etc, but I've been putting them out after 3 or 4 puffs, so down deep in this thick skull I must either want to quit or am just tired of smoking.

(after typing that out, it looks like it should be silly easy to quit. Never really saw it printed out in front of me.)

Those last couple are hard. This forum is full of people that are still on those last couple, don't sell yourself short. BT has spent a lot of time and money making cigarettes as addictive as they possibly can. The deck has been stacked against us for decades and now has the FDA's blessing.
