I remember when Deb was misusing the phrase "grub screw" to describe something that was not a grub screw. Did you adopt her misuse?

I may have misused it, but I was referring to a screw that had no head on it, the hex key, allen wrench, whatever.....slips down into a hole in the top of the screw. But, don't wanna get into another 4 day discussion on what's what, cuz I won't remember it all anyhow lol

Working fine-- my first rda. Switching off between that and my usual lineup, just a few puffs, and the tension eases.

Kewl, glad you like it. I have an authentic one like that (ERA), that came with my reo mini, but found I just don't like those really tiny atomizers. Probably gonna sell it at some point.

Here is my new baby dripper for 2.83$. Not exactly as the picture. The screws are knurled to be finger-tightened. I immediately replaced the coil with my standard build with lots of cellucotton. I was going to use it as a taster, but with the panic attacks lately I have some super-strong 8 mg tobacco flavor. Working fine-- my first rda. Switching off between that and my usual lineup, just a few puffs, and the tension eases.

It doesn't work with my nemeses, using my unkicked mech. Coil is measuring at 1.18 ohm right now.

You can't adjust the 510 screw on the Nemy to make connection w/ the atty or is something else wrong?

No, the screw is fine. They are two different nemy's, just mm's off from each other. I switched top-rings between them so that one works with button-top or flat-top with magnet. The other works with flat-top. That way I have a nice short throw on both. But the air-flow holes are not then aligned, which works fine with the Orchids. Even though the air-flow hole on the dripper is high up, there is an air flow problem with the dripper and Nemy. I took off the pressure-fitted top ring to expose the holes, and it works fine. Maybe I need to drill out that hole?

I got the 10-pack of the 1mL mini RDAs earlier this summer. Bored the air hole out just a smidge more, and I think these are nifty. I can play with various builds and run them on all my mods. They are great for tasting new flavahs, but your use is ideal as well - just to have that "nudge" available without having to load up a tank.... Well played 0 Mg

My caterpillar using single coil 30 ga 1.6 ohms, cotton wick on an Evod 650 ma VV at 4.1 volts and blowing Tootle Klowds!

OK. I switched top rings on the Nemys, that is not part of the adjustment for tube length. Now it works. I also drilled the hole out a bit, and it is working fine on the Nemy's.

I have one like that, too. And got one for my nephew to learn dripping with.

OK, it's just that a "grub screw" doesn't necessarily mean that an Allen key is needed. The method of turning the screw can be with a flat-head screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, star-head driver, Allen key or whatever method is called for based on how the screw is manufactured.

My local B&M had a bunch of these on clearance so I picked up a couple. I also drilled out the hole for more air circulation and used them to test new flavor batches. They were my first introduction to dripping. Since then I have picked up other drippers my favorites being a Fogwind by Alliance, Freakshow and Freakshow Mini. The Fogwind is by far my favorite for flavor. It came with 3 different center rings that change the airflow so it can be used for flavor, clouds or a midsize for a combination of flavor and cloud.

The Caterpillar dripper has adjustable airflow. Good airflow for a MTL/Tootle Puffer or enough for a slow lung inhale Tootle Style. Got mine for I think $8.

In my day they were called set screws. But I've only ever seen allen or straight screws. Never a phillips or torx. Not saying they don't exist but I've never come across any.

Using Google it seems that Grub Screws lean more towards metric sizes and Set Screws lean more towards SAE sizes.. Maybe the Grub Screw term is not USA in origin?
They are used interchangeably though.

If you work around motors or engines, set screw makes sense. Grub... seems like yer talkin' bugs or chow.
