All I have that is close to traditional American is Apple Pie and Cinnamon Danish.

Not sure I could vape Apple Pie. Now if there was a Mrs. Smith's Natural juice Deep Dish Apple Pie, I could vape that. That particular Mrs. Smith's pie is no longer made.

Am watching Texas play Mexico in Little League World Series. They are fighting for 3rd. Japan and Pennsylvania play at 2pm for 1st place.

Good baseball. A lot of heart.
I'm going to switch to that at 1, when the Lord Of The Rings movie that I'm watching is over. I'm never watched any of those movies before. Pretty good. I watched both of the semifinal Little League World Series games yesterday.

23 year Army. Mailman now.
Retired (2011) city mailman here.

Pearland is one of our local teams! Those kids rock it every year! And I don't even like sports. They lost to PA last night. [emoji26]
I was doing some Googling last night trying to figure out how the teams are put together. The way I understand it they're all-star teams, with the players being selected from the entire league in which the kids play. It kind of took some of the charm away for me, but at least I'm not wondering how a single Little League team could have so much talent.

When the Little League World Series started, in the 1950s I believe, all of the teams were from PA and NJ, because they were the only places that Little League existed.

On TV they say that the Red Land team (Pennsylvania) is from Lewisberry PA. That town has a total population of 356 people and I'm wondering how it's even possible that there are enough 11 and 12 year olds in the town to put together a team, let alone one that's got so much talent at every position.

I remember going to watch my cousin play when I was about 6. He's 6 years older than I am. We'd come home to Texas to visit every summer no matter where we had to drive from. It was great!

An interesting thing about making a titanium coil that's 0.15 to 1.0 ohms is that I can use it in either temperature control mode or in wattage mode on my mod.

After using the titanium coil for 5 hours, I'm re-evaluating my preferences and I'm just not so willing to give up Kanthal just yet. There's just something really good about vaping a Kanthal coil. It looks like this will be yet another thing that I waffle on for a good while.

Nickel, yeah, that I'm ready to give up. Interesting and good but not as good or satisfying a vape as with Kanthal or titanium. Hi Legs!

Have you tried twisting kanthal and nickel together ?
When I get this mod i've been waiting on I have some 28G + 30G nickel to try.
If those turn out no good Im going to twist some 30g kanthal with some nickel wire to see how that goes.

Hello and welcome to one of the best places on ECF.

Just caught a CNN thing about kids starting to use vaping gear for drugs. :(
It is sad what kids will try as an escape from reality. I just shake my head.

What a hoot... I am a new member..joined today...also an old guy...and I am literally sitting on my front porch with my coffee and my rda setup vaping as I read the posts here. Former 35 year pack a day smoker...picked the habit up in the army ..now 5 months cig free thanks to vaping. The younguns get a kick when they see me vaping in my buick at a stop light lol. They get impressed when I talk to them about box mods. ..sub ohm tanks and rda builds. Ha ha ha.
Welcome, pull up a seat and stay a while.

many just blame stupid on the devil.
Now don't be bringing Flip Wilson into the discussion.

It is sad but for some it is also hard to put yourself in their shoes and imagine the reality that they are living in, whether real or imagined. Imagined can be real and for some real can only be imagined.

I think the answer depends on who you ask. The best I can offer from my experience is a definite maybe. The vape tastes different to me but there's no way for me to know whether that taste is from the coil material or rather from what I regard as a fact of life that a mod in temperature control mode produces a different-tasting vapor to begin with. I am enamored with the concept of temperature control but so far I find temp-controlled vapor thinner and less satisfying regardless of whether I'm using titanium or nickel.

With titanium, I think I enjoy the vapor taste better when in power mode rather than temperature control mode. That's based on less than 24 hours experience with a titanium coil. But with a nickel coil, I can only use it in temperature control mode due to the extremely low resistance of the wire, so I can only compare apples to oranges.

I'm w/ Bells ... I don't think a nickel coil has a taste do to the coil ... but it does taste 'different' which I assume is the consistent temp of the coil. Although there are some people who have allergic issues with nickel ... not just a vaping a nickel coil but nickel touching there skin etc.
Thank you both, makes sense. :)
Yabutt point being, easier to get gear. One kid OD'd, brought into ER, treated and released. Went into the bathroom on the way out. OD'd again... brought back into the ER. Gettin' kinda sad.
Could be a Darwin Awards nominee in the making. It's sad.
Had much the same here, a bit south, although our immediate area only had a few blips. But enough to keep me offline most of the day. Rain throughout the night, still raining, but at least the wind has backed off. Didn't lose anything big on our property, but lots of small stuff to be cleaned up... But thankful for the rain! Been too long for us web-footed NWesters!

But maybe pointing out that you need more than just 2 devices? And extended power outage might be longer than those two egos would last you! Or perhaps a regulated 18650 type mod, and a large-ish supply of batteries :thumb: added to your your arsenal?
That looked like a bad storm. Not quite a Columbus Day Storm though, luckily. Hope it had a positive impact on the fires.

 Welcome new porchers! Glad you found us.

Haven't seen you for a bit, that must have been a reading marathon. Hope all is well. :)
Jup was off for about a week taking care of my son, he had bone spur surgery so couldn't walk, cept to potty for awhile. Follow up appt is tomorrow to see how well it is and if he can go back to work. It's wonderful to be here, got to play mama while his wife was at work, and getting to visit with em. Definitely a marathon, had 2 or 3 pages from the old back porch, then 26 pages on the new one before I got caught up, and 14 pages here! Whewwww I'm exhausted!! lol

Do I have to be an older folk to sit and vape with you fine encyclopedias?

I agree with yiddle, no shortage of that stuff and nothing new about using our stuff. But just a reminder, be careful with the talk about it, that's a no no here

Wahooooo!!!!! Welcome to ECF and the porches, I see yiddle already posted the back porch link where we can talk about anything, hope all y'all come join us there also. Most folks visit both porches, but some tend to stick to one or the other.

43 pages?! You poor thing! Last time I left for 4-5 days, only something like four posts to catch up on here. I felt very fortunate. :D
