I made my first twisted coil today. Aren't y'all proud of me? 28g 9-10 wraps. Have no idea where it measures, haven't put it in an atty to check yet.

I wonder if it.s ok to use in a kayfun, or if I should put it in a dripper.Way to go!
You are on your way and nothing can stop you now!![]()

I got curious & stuck it in the dripper. It's reading 1.6,but sure takes awhile to heat up. I load coils on one of my MVPs because I can check ohms without firing it, & the shape is easy for me to manipulate while I coil & wick. It only goes to 11 watts & took forever to pulse hot enough to pinch the coil. Then I wicked it & took forever to get hot enough to produce any vapor at all. Changed to the Segelei, & finally got good vapor & flavor at 15 watts d it ramped up faster. As long as it fits and the ohms is ok for your mod does it matter? esp if you are using an adjustable regulated mod.
Yep, I was watching how long it took to cool down. Maybe next time 30g.Parallel 28 that's not surprising. Lots of metal mass in there, takes a while to get hot. And cool down. You might consider, if you don't already, drawing for a tad after releasing the fire button to clear the vapor. Keeps it from condensing back onto the coil and may delay the inevitable gunking.

I have 2 guages, 28 & 30. I've tried the 30 & not crazy about it. I thought it migjt do well twisted tho.parallel 30 will come in about the same resistance as an equal length of 26![]()
Anyone with a lot of RBAs (ahem, Mike) care to show how they keep them organized?
Right now, I'm trying to get some more flat surfaces into my room (shelves?) so that I can see what I have and get it organized. I do have my own room now. I just need the surfaces to work with now.
For example, my Lancia rda. I found the base with a bunch of stuff I had set aside to dry after cleaning. Then there's the box with the majority of the Lancia parts. But, where is the top cap and spare glass sleeve? Where could I possible have put it? I probably just dropped it in with some miscellaneous stuff when I couldn't find the rest of it or when I was in a hurry to get it out of the kids' reach. Who knows?
I need to get my stuff out in the open, match everything back up, and figure out how to KEEP it organized!
Help! I'm drowning!
No fuss, no bother, fast ramp up. Four wraps of 30g at 1.3 Ω.
LOL. Just one, thanks.Of course, if you only use three you can braid it
(Well, yeah, you CAN braid with 4, but 3 is easier...)
