I'm with JJ about being overly cautious. When places start asking for SS number and bank routing codes, I start running.
I didn't have to give Dwola my SS# - bank acc't yes.

Yeah, but they're still chain stores. You may need a pharmacy that fills compound Rx's. I guess the sterile cotton is an old fashioned item. I don't know what it would be used for these days so it's not surprising it's not so easy to find. Guess they didn't count on vapers! I don't see why sterile gauze wouldn't work as long as it's cotton and not a synthetic. The problem is I just went to my medical stash and none of the regular gauze says what it's made out of. I have one packet of Nu gauze sterile gauze sponges and it does say it's made of rayon/polyester. Hmmm. Maybe you'd be better off with cheesecloth from the supermarket?
Any experience with DV?
I'm interested in that, I just hate it that P/P is the way they are about e-cigs.![]()

Although I'm not JJ, I will say that I use ACV @ 1 drop/3 ml. Now, that's only for my DIY non-fruit juices; i.e. bakery/savory/'bakky.
BTW, I do use lemon juice for my DIY fruit flavs at the same 'dosage'.
Thanks Iffy! I am going to try it I think. I don't DIY, but I am having such a hard time with throat hit and I haven't found any other way to resolve it. It should work the same way in juices I buy, shouldn't it?
Take 2.
I'm getting great vapor and the more I vape it - the better it's tasting.
Take 2.
My 1st attempt at using a 3mm wick and 34 awg Kanthal was a disaster. That coil turn out to be 4.5Ω and I had to crank my Provari up to 6 volts to get decent vapor. (hmmm - did that kill my Provari's circuit board?)
Anyhow, better success tonight.
Took the Vivi apart.

Note to ~3mm hole bored into the head for the larger wick.

I wrapped the coil around a 1/6" (~3mm) machine screw and twisted the legs, to lower the resistance of the legs inside the head tube. It only took 2 full turns of 34 awg and two 1/2 turns at each end to get spot on at 3.0Ωs

I'm not convinced yet that thick long wicks are the way to go but a lot of knowledgeable people in the Vivi Nova rebuild threads are strong proponents of it, so I'm trying it. I threaded 5 strands of 1/16 inch (~2mm) bamboo yarn through the coil.
I didn't top it with cotton yet. I want to see how just the bamboo is after the wick seasons. Then I'll add the cotton over-wick.
