Here is a good deal on the vivi novas comes out to $10.54 with shipping

http://.........blogspot.com/2012/10/vivi-nova-tank-1094-shipping-included.html?spref=fb

These are not Vision Vivi Novas so you might be cautious. I bought a couple of the clones thinking they were Vision Vivi Novas and they didn't work as good and the heads weren't interchangeable with the ones I had.

Yes, make sure they aren't a knock off and get a genuine Vision Vivi Nova. Also make sure they are v2.5. The earlier model had a leakage problem, I'm told. I'm also seeing v3 tanks, but don't know about that.

Yep Mike the tips are a little loose even the one that came with it but I didn't notice it until you mentioned it. I really like the one that came with it though. It is really a nice tip.

By the way Mike what is the reason for the seperate air chamber? Is it to keep the condensation out of the juice?

I couldn't say why 'they' decided to use a genisis style tank setup with a 2 part tank - instead of just a 4 wicked Vivi Nova head. Maybe just added 2 more wicks to the VN design just wasn't an improvement - look how many foks actually cut the long wicks shorter.

The separate chamber does add more 'air' to the combustion and in the geny world there's always talk about how much air flow is best and what is the best size of the air chamber and air hole. Condensation does collect in the air chamber but I wouldn't think that was the main reason for this design. I think 'they' were just copying the geny style - ya know - a geny for the masses.

A lil' caution fer ya'll...

Some may remember 'bout a week ago I posted that I went back to my ol' faithful 1.5Ω SmokTek DCT with some GAP on a Gripper and was sooo enjoying it all.

A couple o' days ago I was thinking that my juice may have went bad. Nah, no way... that recipe is a killa. Well, here's my discovery and caution:

When there is a notable change in your vaping, be sure to verify your Gripper (or any VV PV) is still at da set desired voltage!!! Apparently, I inadvertently 'bumped' da Grip' up to da point that I 'singed' da carto.

After a new carto and some more GAP, all is well again... aahhhh...

As for the recent newer devices, I'm gonna sit back and watch fer sum long term evaluations 'fore I jump back into da 'goat rope' rodeo!

Yea, the Gripper is easy to inadvertently change the voltage. I've done that more than a few times. Take it out of my pocket, do a vape, and holy hottness! That coupled with I need to run the gripper at least .5 volts lower than my other VV mod's to get the same vape. I forget and set it to 4.2 volts and - yikes, too hot on the gripper, but just right on the ProV.

Nice catch Tex. That's so frustrating to not actually get what you think you're buying.

Mike says he thinks the guy who makes it says there's no licorice in it so I'd guess it's mostly anise - A LOT OF IT! And it's VERY green - like it would probably glow in the dark! I'd guess there might be some citrus in it, but since I'm not familiar yet with the flavorings I'm not sure what to tell you to try - maybe a little orange? I tried making orange dreamcicle last night and didn't get it. Maybe I'll start over tonight. Today our son is coming over to sort through attic stuff so we're going to be busy today. RP is so different though, I'm sure somebody is going to try to duplicate it so we'll just have to keep looking to see if somebody figures it out. I love black licorice, but can only vape a very little bit of RP. It is uber intense.

CharlieGirl - I'll go ya one better. PM me your mailing addy and I'll send you a sample. Then you can dissect it w/ your taste buds and try to come up w/ a DIY version if you like it. I enjoy it occasionally, but I'm not one of those that makes it an all day vape. I agree w/ others that don't particularly like licorice or anise but like the Pluid. I don't think I could add more to the description than you've already picked up reading about it. A key ingredient must be food coloring just to make it green. Murdock sells a 'cutter' version (no nic) and it's not green.

Wow guys, THANKS! We can always count on you! You have gotten yourselves quite a reputation on here! Unlike many peeps though, you can be proud!

Well, I don't know how I ended up on the RP thread last night but I couldn't get over the pathetic pleading and despondent desperation in the posts of people waiting in line for their chance to snag some. Seriously, they were sounding like a bunch of junkies! LOL. (What's with all the alliteration... not intentional!) Good grief! Anyway, I did read enough of Mad Murdock's posts to know that like you said the main ing. was anise not licorice, there was citrus but no lime, someone has tasted guava in it and though MM agreed it did taste of it, there was none. Some also said it had a spearmint/minty/menthol type affect, but nope, no mint nor menthol. The more I read the bigger the mystery. Of course being a DIY addict of sorts, there is a compulsion to try to replicate that which you can, but you really can't by description alone. I'm ashamed to say I tried... LOL! I don't know for a fact it was a complete fail, but suffice it to say if they were all raving about something like what I made, well, never mind. But I SINCERELY doubt it!!! Another thing that struck me funny was the fact that everyone loved the color and didn't want a version without it! With all the hoopla about additives to jooses that really surprised me!
Mike, I would so LOVE to take you up on your most generous offer! (Ha ha, if some of those folks only knew! LOL!) I think Janet has my addy but I'll send it to you just in case. I can't believe how lucky I am to get this opportunity after reading that thread! LOL! I will go PM ye now, and many thanks to both of you for your thoughtful replies, as usual!

Thanks txtumbleweed, I'll check it out. Could be one of the ones I need. OH, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! I'm slow but I'm an antique. I'm going to get the Spinner but a good back up helps especially if it can be adapted to anything. I can now see light, what a relief. I'll probably drive you all nut with my progress. I need a drink, damn no sweet tea, hello Tequilla.

Just a suggestion for an awesome back-up cheap... an Ego pass-through. I love mine, bought it as a back-up and ended up using it just about as my one and only! I've had it at least 10 months, always ready, if not, no biggie, just plug it in and vape away! You can charge it through a USB port or a regular charger if you want, but mine is always on USB. If I'm going out, I unplug it and it's always charged. It's got the inner 510 threads and the outer Ego threads, so it's compatible with about anything for either, or like you said, you can always get an adapter, but 510 is still the favored format it seems. Look around, they are well under $20 in many places. Good luck with whatever you decide on, and welcome to the fun(ny) farm! Kudos to you for giving vaping a go, you won't regret it! It takes some adjustment after years of the stinkies, but we all got it after a time, you will too! We are always here for ya, even if you just want to beetch!

I am fixin to try Iffy's pear blueberry mix, I have never had a pear flavor, but love blueberry. I also ordered some pumpkin spice flavor, never tried that one either. When I first started vaping before my DIY'ing I had some aweful stuff so I am reluctant to try new flavors. Have a nice weekend ya'll see ya again on Tuesday.:glug:

CharlieGirl - here's another anise flavor I read about in a juice review thread. The reviewer didn't like Pluid and recommended Blue Fairy.

In all seriousness, it tastes just like I stated, LOL. Really though, if anyone wants to try a flavor that tastes just like absinthe, is water clear (no dye), and has no artificial sweetener aftertaste or medicinal qualities, give Ahlusion Blue Fairy a whirl. If you dig that, well, look no further. I have vaped both and I would go clear Blue before I would suggest going green!
