Meet Me in St Louie Louie
On the tiny brush BacsiBob had in the PIC .. I use pipe cleaners .. cheap / disposable and absorbent .. if the drip tip hole is slightly larger than the pipe cleaner, I bend the pipe cleaner in half ..

On tanks and cartos .. when I refill a tank, I push a round toothpick into the screw end of the carto, then push the carto down into the tank and fill .. this prevents any liquid from entering the hole and flooding ..

G'Mornin, All! Oops..........afternoon!!!

When I first started vaping, there were few choices to be had, and my vaping life was simple and sweet!

Learning all the new gadgets is making my brain hurt! LOL With all the choices though, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm still in the process of getting my first Mod (EGoT) and with the help of Kat and Bob, I'm getting there, slowly but surely. THANK YOU!!

Got my first carto tank in my vapemail today, so later this evening when I'm free I'll start playing with that and look at all the YouTube videos for instructions.

I also got another Spinner in the rainbow color! Beautiful! With a purple EVOD we're talking foxy feminine!

On another note, I'm in NE Florida and we're experiencing some cold.....brrrrr....temps. It's 46o right now with a good chance of a freeze tonight and tomorrow.
Don't mind the 50s and 60s but this is quite uncomfortable especially since Floridians typically have thinner blood!

Going to get another hot cup of java........or maybe some hot chocolate.......yea, that sounds good!!!

69 and a life long smoker. Switched to e-cigs 2 1/2 months ago at the urging of my daughter. Now my wife, son and two nieces have joined me with Vision/Clearomizer Xmas presents. Amazingly, no one has reverted to cigarettes yet! Started with cheap one time use models, then changed to Vision/Clearomizer. Have recently ordered a Vamo kit to try. I use a single Spinner battery that I charge nightly to see how long it will last before failing. (I, of course, have spares.)

Can someone recommend an alternative to Clearomizer? Need something that will work with Spinner or Vamo. We like the Clearomizers, but I wonder if there's something better liked.

Gracie, that rainbow spinner sounds lovely - oh and with a purple EVOD  so tempting - but I am going to be good  but you make it so hard.

As for the weather - I can't believe we are warmer way up north than you - currently 49F and suppose to get to 54F today. Looks like it is only for today and back down to 34F tomorrow. Hope you can stay warm freezing.jpg

Welcome Nick, sounds like you have a smart daughter :) Not sure if you are looking to not use any type of clearomizer or just the Vision one you started with. Not sure what kind of Vision you have tried (CE4 or Vivi Nova?) A lot of us just got the Kanger EVOD - which are also a type of clearomizer - but they have a metal sheath over the plastic tube. So far I know I am really liking how mine is working. I have used it on my spinner and on my little eGo mini - not sure if it would work on a Vamo.

If what you have is the CE4 (Stardust) I started with them - but they are not my favorite. I do like the Vision Mini Vivi Nova too.

Afternoon y'all :)
Flowersoul where did you find that rainbow spinner?

NickSteel..welcome:) You might try some of the Kangers (T2, T3 or Evod) or as Kat suggested a carto tank with either a Dual Coil or single coil carto in it. I happen to like the dual coil carto's with 2 punched holes. The spinner can handle all of them :)

So glad you joined us, and congratulations on the switch from the stinkies to vaping.

I find my Spinners lasting longer than the Twist......could be my imagination, but I do prefer them to the Twist.

I've been using the EVOD on my Spinner which is basically T3, but a tad smaller, I believe. Provides great taste, good vapor, and is good looking, too!

WOOT Gracie ~ bet that rainbow Spinner is a looker!!! Hmmm...that would probly coordinate well with many different colors of clearomizers etc.

Good luck with your carto tank! Hope you'll love it!

It seems to look good on just about everything.....ask me how I know! LOL

My husband is starting to give me the evil eye! He asked if I had enough for now, and I said........but, but but, ya just don't understand! LOL
I have one more item to purchase, then I must give it a break until next month........oooh, that's only a couple of weeks! LOL

Yes, it's colder here than one would imagine! I'm glad I didn't get rid of my winter clothes because I've been using them lately, including my heavy jackets.

ugh...I am in trouble. :/ Hubby is absolutely 'livid' over how much I've spent. For my birthday he got me a cig-alike, and somehow figured that after 40+ years of smoking I would be 'quit' a month later, totally and completely. I ordered an upgrade kit (900mah) and some juice from HHV, and some carts to get me through til the upgrade and clearomizers and juice get here. How do I make him understand that you don't just get an ecig and voila you are done with nicotine (PAD smoker here) forever in less than a month? It doesn't seem to matter to him that the nicotine level is going progressively down, he wants me to be 'done' with it period. (he quit cold turkey 13 yrs ago and has been a pain in my A** ever since over smoking, let alone vaping) I should add, the cig alike is ONE battery, and he 'generously' threw in 5 cartos....no one can quit with THAT!

Oh my goodness Molli. I know how uncomfy it is when our mate is upset, especially when what you are doing is so sensible. And you are right - that cig-a-like with one battery is definitely not enough. Hugs...

I've been very fortunate. My hubby has never smoked but yet has been very understanding about my purchases. I hope he will begin to understand that you are making progress AND saving money.

Ah molli - so sorry to hear that you don't have support at home. I am not much help - my husband has never smoked, but has been very supportive. I don't think he really understands why I keep buying more and shakes his head when I get all excited over getting another new battery or a purple EVOD  However, he is just real happy that I am not smoking and I guess he figures whatever it takes.

Just know that even if you don't have support at home - there are lots of us here that do support you. I imagine that for someone that quit cold turkey he likely figures that is how everyone should. Can you maybe explain that if you could do cold turkey - you would have done it years ago. Plead for time to get thru the transition and understanding that you really do want this to work for you

I am not sure what you spent smoking - but since you have not bought too much - can he not see that it is at least costing you less? I wish you lots of luck convincing him and hang in there.

Tried the 'cold turkey' more times than I care to recall. HE spent $50 on the cigalike for my Birthday. I've since spent about $200 on a new kit, juice, cartomizers, case, (which he didn't bother to think I needed) and adapters for the cigalike. I 'should' be good for several months, and spent about $100-150 a month on analogs (cheapest ones I could find) He's also not getting the concept of you have to order juice NOW to get it hopefully a month or less later. Also what I have ordered is in assorted LESS nicotine to 'cut down'. the 'original' is only 16mg, and I can make a carto last me four days at that level. Vaping more at the lower levels (8mg)

TY Gracie:) May have to get one of those! I need one more battery.

molli, well tell him you could always go back to smoking and this time it would be 2+ packs a day. Go get a calculator and figure that cost up! Nice that he could quit "Cold turkey"..however not everyone can. My husband did in 1987. But he never said a word about my smoking.
He was having breathing problems in 2010 and 2011 so when he was laid off in Oct 2011 I decided to try again to at least cut down and smoke only outside. 2 months later I had quit..and yes I spend $$$ on these, but not what I spent of cigarettes. Dropped from $7/$8 per day to $2 a day...so he's very quiet:)

Good luck to you, molli. My Hubby quit cold turkey back in the 90's for 4-5 years. He never stopped craving ciggies, and he started up again. Then when he tried to quit again, he couldn't, and he started using nic gum and an occasional cigar. Well, the nic gum went on for years, and the cigar usage increased. So when I started vaping, he started vaping. We have never looked back, and neither of us has had the desire to go back to our old ways. We'll have been vaping for 2 years in May.

Perhaps if your previous smoking budget became your new vaping budget, it would put things in perspective for him...

I guess it was easier for us because both my wife and I needed to quit cigarettes. While our reason for quitting was health based rather than cost, we were spending about $75/week for cigarettes. Since buying 2 kits for about $50 each, we are spending about $25 per month for e-liquid. Our Clearomizers seem to go on and on, as I clean them now and then with everclear. Same 2 have lasted 10 weeks so far. The cost reduction is a no-brainer. The health benefits are obvious to us. I have had chronic bronchitis since childhood. Since switching, I have not needed inhalers, etc. We were so satisfied with the results that we purchased units for my sister and 2 nieces as Christmas presents. We have absolutely no regrets. (My wife had tried Chantrix, patches, etc with no success.)
