Don't know if you DIYers have seen this neat lil' gadget for mixing your recipes...

NEW NORPRO Deluxe Cordless Mini Mixer 5 Pc Set (free shipping)

Just mixed up some Janet's Heaven and... WOW, this thing is great! I used the straight attachment. Its tip is split so that centrifugal forced flexes the tip 'outward'. It also fits in my joose bottles. Some DIYers that mix 'bakky flavs say that this has replaced steeping!

Oh Dancing We want a journal on how well that no nic goes!! Because after the week I've had, I have thought about the cigs that I still have. Haven't had one in almost 7 months.

It's not going so good. But, the problem isn't feeling a need for nic. It's the lack of throat hit.

I'll have to adjust my flavoring until the actual vaping experience (VTF) is just as good before I can find out if the lack of nic would be a problem otherwise.

So, for now, nic levels are staying the same except for my no/low nic experiments. But, at least, now I know. Which makes me one step closer to figuring out how to make it work.

I think the actual study would probably put me to sleep. The abstract and highlights pretty much let me know what they discovered.
I'd probably agree, if I was able to read the abstract and highlights without being asked to pay up first.

Edit: Ooh, ooh! Yeah, I can read those without paying. Let's see if this link shows up differently:
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0306460312000913

Edit number 2: Ok, that's the same link. For anyone who wants to read the abstract and highlights, click on any item in the left-hand column, then ignore the request to pay on the next page and instead click "view abstract and highlights" above the "sign in or pay up" box.

Edit number 3: Duh... OK, forget Edit number 2. Just find the scroll bar at the link above and scroll on down to the abstract and highlights. Duh! I couldn't find it at first, went around my .... to get to my elbow.

I'm told that vodka added to your juice will increase throat hit. Personally, I used chrysanthemum flavoring with my raspberry on 0 nic and had such a throat hit it was not funny. It imparts a perfumy taste though.

Well - I actually tried a no nic experiment this week too. I have wondered for awhile if it really is the nic or just the act of smoking that I really need. Well - I discovered that I do still need some nic. I was not longing for a cigarette which is good :) but I did find that I was "down" and definitely easily agitated - well ok darn right cranky :D

So - I will continue with just lowering and see how it goes. I started at 18mg and now go between 12mg down as low as 3mg in the evening. Once the 12mg juice is gone - I will reduce the highest to 10 and go from there.

I don't have the no TH problem thankfully. For me it is more important to have lots of flavor and vapor - so I think if I can get to not "needing" the nic that would be nice - only because of the ever looming doubt about whether we will easily be able to get it. Otherwise I really have no problem if I needed to have nic forever

I started at 18mg - went up to 24mg and even went to 30mg for my morning vape to get rid of that last few stinkies... Since then I have gone down to 12mg - 15mg and a periodic 18mg vape. I try to keep my daily vape under 3ml per day. That is more important to me than just the nic level. I will continue to cut the nic down.

I vaped a 24mg mix the other day just to see if I could make a major cut in my vaping levels - it almost knocked my socks off, so it lets me know that as I am able to lower my nic I will not need or want to go back up. Just like quitting the stinkies - I am taking this one step at a time...

So there's another great thing about vaping - the ease of dropping the nic. I've seen many people dropping their nic and don't know if it's really just due to the regulation fears or what, but I never intended to drop my nic from 12. I was happy there and was so happy with vaping, just figured it was my happy place forever. Then the mixing started and I'd end up adding stuff which ended up lowering the nic and it was fine. I've been vaping between 8 and 0 now and it's fine. Gotta say though, at 0 I miss the TH as well. Might have to look into the Flash and see what that's like. Is it possible that most of this is the activity of vaping and not so much the need for nic? I did use the WTA in the beginning for those intense times and don't really need it at all anymore. Maybe the same thing is happening with the nic now. I may be crossing over to needing the activity and flavor more than the nic... well, ain't that just something. It was never this easy to drop from regular cigarettes to lights and never did make it to ultra lights.

Hey, has anyone heard from Tex lately - it has been about a week since his last post.

Funny you should mention Tx. Been thinking about him a lot today. Sometimes he doesn't post, but clicks on the like button and haven't seen that for awhile. Maybe we gotta step up the prayers a bit.

I started vaping at 18mg to 24mg. Hubby went in for heart surgery and his nic level was dropped to 6mg by me. Then I started DIY and it was so much easier just to mix all my base juice at 6mg. At the time I was down to 12mg and the drop wasen't too bad. Now I'm used to it as hubby is also. I can't see dropping any further and I can't vape no nic juice. It justs tastes flat to me.
