I got 2 Evods about 2 weeks ago. Immediately gave one to my friend as she left on vacation. I've had absolutely no problems with mine and have yet to need to change the head. My friend though, the one I gave her leaked all over. She put a new head on it and it was ok for awhile, but now she can't get a draw from it at all. I have to get it back from her to check it out. (wish she hadn't tossed the original one) This is the first tank she's ever had so I wanted it to be a good experience for her. Last night I found this excellent video that shows how to fix it and also how to rebuild the coil. I think even I can do this!

I've only been vaping for 1-1/2 years, but in that time have seen a lot of changes and new innovations. I couldn't imagine what new thing could possibly come along other than maybe better connections or materials etc. Then I saw this! You actually put a different flavor in each tank and then they mix together when you vape! Has anybody tried these? Might be a good idea to try different flavors together and you can just change the juice in one if you don't like the combination? Hmmm.

IFFY,ROFL..I had a couple of the old one's...yes they were interesting to fill LOL I found some of the other cartos a bigger PITA to fill..might have been the CE2's...probably still have a couple brand new one's somewhere....:p
The one's with the little "Plug" that you had to coax into the fill hole after you filled them.

I believe it was the CE3 Smokymizer. I loved the fact that they were bottom coil and I actually got pretty good at coaxing that little black plug into place. I still have about 15 of them put back for hard times. I sure hope times never get that hard though :D I was thrilled when I got my first CE3 XL's. I know that the syringe fill is a pain for some but I actually don't mind it at all. These little suckers are the timex or ever ready bunny of the vaping world. They take the heat and just keep on vaping.

mattiem, that's them...they were smokymizers and yes they ran good and kept on going. :) The first ones of their kind were hard to fill even with the syringe..cleromizers I think, then the smokymeizers which were way better. I ran them until vision started making cleros. The easy fill hooked me:D

That looks cool! I love the idea of it, but it looks like polycarbonate, and I make too many juices that would crack the tube. I was thinking of getting a mod with 2 connectors on the top to do exactly what this does.

Welcome Faber and congrats on switching to vaping!! We have a lot of folks around your age. I'm 49 and I used to be the baby of the group, but not any more.

Wahooo Gen, congrats on the engagement, and the in-laws being vapers now!

Hope Tx shows up soon.

Gave up trying to get the evod open, will have to let my son try if I ever see him. He was supposed to be here Wed but got called into work. Hopefully will see him Sun or Mon.

Watching that video Janet, makes me think trying an awl to flare the top of the tube might solve some of the issues. However rebuilding the base...might be different than on a T3...? Hold that thought Gloria...going to try the awl in the top...

Fortunately I haven't had any of the problems with the Evod I have. After watching the video I can't wait to get the one my friend has to see if I can fix it. I've had some condensation in my drip tip that a Q-tip takes care of, but haven't had any leaking. It makes sense to flare the tube top to prevent that, but you'd think that should have been done at the factory. Sheesh. Let us know how you make out with the flaring. I'm not sure what that tool was that he used but it looked a bit bigger than a regular awl?

Not sure how different this is from the T3, but the idea must be the same.

Depending on how well this idea goes over it shouldn't be long before somebody will have glass replacements!

Another gizmo to speculate. You're so right, Janet.....just when you think whatever could they come up with next, that's just what happens. I love seeing the vaping industry expand like this.

i am 45 and smoked for 30 of those years. do i count as an older vaper . been vaping for a few years off and on but have not had one puff for the last 7 months and in the year before that only smoked 19 cigarettes. think i am done with the smoke now. vaping really works. have a most excellent day.

Welcome pfaber! Isn't it wonderful to finally realize that you are no longer a smoker but instead, you vape!

Good afternoon my fellow Vapelanders! Gone for a couple of days and now I trying to get caught up. Alot going on. 1st welcome to the new people, we enjoy each other around here and we are always ready to give our :2c:
O..M..G Nat's Mom and at the hospital!!! Thank goodness she's ok.
Bacon is great on everything, just don't want to vape it!! That has to be up there with the Tuna Vape!!
Janet do you share your recipe for your heaven ?

My son and I bought mistic to stop smoking cigarettes. After my heart attack, it was probably life or death for me, and neither of us have had an "analog" in 3 months or so.

SUCH INCREDIBLE FREEDOM!! (Does she sound ecstatic? She IS!!)
No smell, no dropping hot ashes, no ashtrays... and best of all you can be covert.

We both graduated to all kinds of batteries, lots of delivery systems, and TONS of juice. For him its like a ritual, and he waits for his new orders like a kid at Christmas.

I was more interested in the ease of the mistic and it spoiled me, but the unregulated battery made it more and more unpalatable as the battery wore down.
So I just got a start up Volt set. So far, so good. More flavor choices, and I bought 5 empties.

My question is what's the best juice to refill them. If anyone has used them please...

Congrats & welcome whosamama, so glad you came to our little corner here (best one there is)! :) Sorry to hear what brought you here tho, but great for you & your son. Good luck on your new venture & hope to see you here often. :toast:

BTW...On the juice...everyone has their own favs & a lot of us make our own. I'd suggest looking in the juice section here on ECF & just see which ones sound good to you.....there are soooooo many!
