Sorry I haven't been around too much lately folks, but just have been tied up with other things right now.

I just had to come in and let you know that I've just received e mails from Good Prophets & Vapor Alley!

There is a recall on the EVOD batteries, and rather than explain, I'll just c/p!

If either of these two vendors are not the ones you may have purchased your EVOD batteries, then contact the vendor from whom you purchased.

**************************************************************************

You have received this email since you have purchased an EVOD spare battery or EVOD kit
from Good Prophets, LLC.

We have been notified that the batteries in the kits,
the 650mah spare batteries and the 1000mah spare batteries have been recalled.
Charger and cartomizer do not have problems.
We have received this from our distributor:

According to our customers' feedbacks and factory's information, some EVOD batteries died after charge in a short time.
KangerTech figured out that there might be problem with 2 or 3 batches of battery cells they got from a battery factory. These
batteries are possible to EXPLODE during charge, although the possibility is very very small.

KangerTech attached great importance to the problem and upgraded the protection of EVOD battery and have more strict quality
control on the battery cells. The EVOD batteries we are supplying now are all improved ones, there is no such problem.

In order to avoid any serious accident, we and KangerTech decided to make the recall on old version of EVOD batteries,
regardless of the high cost.

The potential faulty EVOD batteries are as below:
All EVOD 650mAh batteries in matte black, yellow, blue. Rest colors we sent before June 24.
ALL EVOD 1000mAh batteries in yellow, green. Rest colors we sent before June 24.
All EVOD starter kits in yellow. Rest colors we sent before June 24.

***We urge you to please stop using any EVOD batteries that you may have.
Please dispose of them immediately.
Injury or damage may occur.
While they claim it is a very small amount of batteries, we do not
want anyone to keep using them. DO NOT USE!

We will send replacement batteries as soon as possible to everyone that emails GP at
cash@goodprophets.com
*We will send the replacement batteries free, no shipping charge.
Please send us an email with as much info as possible.
Type in the email the colors/styles and also the order/invoice number if possible.
We will check our records to verify.
You can also ask any questions that you may have at that time.

As soon as our new replacement stock comes in, we will send new batteries
in order of you sending your email to us.
This may take a few weeks to do, but we will try our best to quickly take care of your replacement(s)

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We want safety as our first concern.

We do stress our concern of safety to please use Lipo Safe charging bags.
Battery failure can happen to any device, including cell phones, tablets and laptops at any time.
We do have Lipo Safe bags on our site and recommend them.

WOW

Anybody going to the HUGE Vapefest at the Flamingo in Las Vegas in Sept

I'm considering going. September is usually about the time we start haying the cows everyday but with grass in short supply we are still feeding everyday here so I'm not certain yet. I like the sound of some of the "classes" they are having and would like to meet some of the folks from around here.:matrix: Like to learn new things, like to find new toys too!

I use the Altoid tins too. I do kind of like the q-tip ones for the not rattling as loud if I don't have a vaper towel in it. We are fixing to take the grandkids to the family reunion so I am sure I will be using tins and these plastic ones both before the month is out. It should be interesting seeing how the pack for e-cigs goes, figuring who needs how much of what for how many days. It is a small Kansas town so I know there won't be a B&M there and we won't have internet either so I sure don't want to forget anything important!
No Internet?? What planet are you traveling to again? Oh... Kansas... yes, I've heard of that one.

Too hot to be outside 95+ degrees. So a little inside work this afternoon - shew that's was hard work - time for a nap.

OK, was gonna ask what that was but then I saw the question has already been answered, plus the file name tells what it is. It looked to me like a slab of marble. When did you start making your own ceramic wicks?

The more i read these posts the more i think i need to learn, theres a whole lexicon of terminology that i have to get used to,i take it that a lot of you guys make up your own juice ?
Yes, a lot of us DIY (do it yourself).

Seriously, da first thing I would worry 'bout is vaping supplies availability while traveling overseas (dat's not even considering each country's custom regulations)! Hell, six weeks in Canada would cause me concern!!!

Ya might want to check out da off shore ECF forums for local European regs & custom guidelines. Can't personally vouch for Blu (etc.) availability at their local BPs or 7-23s...

OTOH, if ya 'head' up to da Netherlands, I would say 'toke' on!

Sorry, I wrote that way too confusing! I was laughing because in the past I have traveled to Europe for 6 weeks with only a 20 pound backpack. Now I am going here in the states for just a few days and I am stressing about what to take and how much of it to take. I just know that Bruce is doing good enough that I don't want him to want or need for any supplies, for that matter I don't want to do without myself either!

There's no place like home, there's no place like home... actually we are going to my husband's hometown and the mayor of munchkin land and his wife lived out their lives there. He knew them. I will vape in the Oz park as I watch my granddaughters climb, slide and swing on Oz themed items. This will be the most comfortable trip in years as for the past several we have gone outdoors to smoke and the heat and humidity makes that old fast. Now thanks to our pv we will be able to relax in the house where it is cool and comfortable while enjoying our vaping.:p

I'd rather not mix while traveling, but that certainly is an option especially if space was limited. Usually before we go on a trip I mix up several 72 ml bottles of different flavored juice, plus a few smaller bottles to carry in my purse. A 2 week trip will usually find us carrying enough juice to last both of us for 2 months. (each bottle in it's own Zip Lock snack bag) Yeah, I know, it's overkill, but it doesn't take up much room and even if something happened to 1 or 2 bottles we'd still have enough to last us awhile.

We will have plenty of space to bring things. I am just worried about forgetting something important. I plan to take extra of everything just in case we need it, and also to take several juices and atomizers so his family can try the pv if they want to. There are several young smokers and a couple of his siblings so if we can introduce some of them to vaping we will.

Any problem with altitude changes when driving? The change isn't all that drastic but I do know clearos can get messy in the car in heat so don't want to have a bunch of spills if they can be avoided.

Yes, a lot of us DIY (do it yourself).

Bigs - ceramic wicks came to the forefront just before the Christmas holidays last year. I've been making my own since then. The DIY's were first done with PetSmart aquarium bubblers. The current rage is 60 grit white alumina ceramic. That block of ceramic I posted cost about $7-$8 and its multi-lifetimes of raw material.

Isn't it amazing what lil' we used to 'need' in order for life to be great?!?!?

I am just worried about forgetting something important.

Hey, dat's what we're here fer! Publish your 'survival' list and I'm pretty sure, collectively, we'll get ya on da road sans vaping fears.

Any problem with altitude changes when driving?

OK, first read dat as attitude.

Altitude... not as long as ya'll are vaping, no issues.

... but I do know clearos can get messy in the car in heat so don't want to have a bunch of spills if they can be avoided.

See above. Hopefully ya'll aren't gonna gain/loose altitude dat quick! It's just a matter of pressure differentials.

Keep in mind, dat has nuttin' to do with being under prepared!

Ok, now I need instruction on how to make the emergency juice? I don't know how to make juice with distilled water.
you just use distilled water to thin the VG, since it's so thick. a few drops usually does it. since you cannot usually get PG in a local market. you mix your normal Nic base (whatever you usually use) in the same ratio with the VG and thin it down to your liking.

I'm not going to be in Europe anytime soon unfortunately. I am only traveling to see Bruce's mom and other relatives in Kansas. I traveled in France, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic for 6 weeks and was commenting that I carried a 20 pound backpack and had all I needed with no problem. Now I can take as much as I like, will only be away a week and am worried about making sure I don't miss any important e supplies.:tumble:

What town is it? It's not called Oz right? I have a friend who buys Oz-type things for her daughter each year for Christmas and now she's buying them for her daughter. Is this a place people go to visit for the Oz factor?

No, it's not called Oz but about anywhere you go in KS you can get the Oz items. I have all kinds of Oz things from shirts, coffee mugs, magnets. My son uses the same coffee cup everyday, it says, "did the wizard ever get back to you about that brain?" They really do have a park that is based on the Wizard of Oz mostly because the little towns there all try to have something special and the mayor of munchkin land and his wife lived there. I am sure I will get to enjoy the pleasure of sitting in the Oz park in the humidity and heat and vape while my granddaughters play. The town is Washington. It should be interesting seeing how people react to our vaping there. It is a very small town so we will see if they have been introduced to vaping. :vapor:

I remember my first trip after I started vaping. I packed enough vaping supplies to last me 6 months  Although in my defense, lol I was going to be on a cruise ship for 15 nights and there was NO way I could get any supplies if something went wrong so there was no way I was going to take any chances :D I pack a WHOLE lot less when we travel now, but I still take far more then I actually need to take.

Well now you would be just fine coming to Canada :) I believe the regulations are against importing liquids with nicotine and my understanding is that guests to the country can bring in ejuice with nic for their own personal use. Of course no matter what you have me up here in Canada - so no way would I let any of my ECF family go without :D

(@KariM - the ZAPs filled w/ GranApple, your DIY for pomegranite & apple. It's tastey even Janet likes it)

Glad to hear that you are both enjoying :)

I too remember my first trip after I started vaping. It was 5 days in Vegas back in Feb and we ended up leaving in a hurry due to a heavy snowfall warning. I was so worried about my vaping supplies that I did forget most of my jewelry  but of course that was a good excuse to buy some

I did fine with the vape supplies - but did take double what I would need for batteries, juice and clearomizers. Of course in Vegas it would not be a big problem - since there are vape shops and of course disposables available everywhere. I was just such a newbie that I had to worry about what to take.

Also had a great vape mail day. I was not expecting the package with flavors to arrive until tomorrow and definitely was not expecting my package from a co-op until next week wee.gif So I now have enough supplies for my eRoll and enough flavors for making juice. The best was getting the 18350 batteries so I could put the smaller tube on my eVic. Really liking it in the smaller size :)

Of course now I need to work on trying my hand a using some of the wick and wire - but I will get to it one of these days :p

Well, I suspect I will prove Bruce right in this category. So far I am thinking the 2 vamo, 4-18650, 8-18350, 2 twists, 2 X6, 3 1100 ego, 5 900 ego and an unknown number of 650's. The 650s and 900s he carries in his shirt pocket, usually 3 set up with evods with different juices; I don't know anymore how many of them he has.

Two battery chargers, one for egos and one for the 18650/18350. There is also a car charger for the egos.

I know I'll bring several T3, MT3 and his evods. Think we'll leave the vape only's at home that saves having to take an extra kind of heads with us. The T3, MT3 use the same heads, then the evod and protanks use the other.

Then there is juice... did I forget anything yet?:?:

I have been using the same eVOD daily for 40 days (yes I document everything so this is not an estimate) and it is still producing vapor but it doesn't quite taste the same. Not really a burnt taste or anything, just different. Is it just my taste buds being weird or do I need to use one of the replacement heads I have on hand? Just wondering. I have never done a dry burn. Would that make a difference? View attachment 232823

Burnt juice gunks up on the coils and yes it can affect the taste. After 40 days I would for sure give it a good cleaning and dry burn then rinse it off again to get the ash you just burnt off the coils off of it.

If that doesn't fix it then replace the head.

I normally start lists long before time to go, pare them down to reasonable as I still love my backpack and don't like to overload it. Then the odds and ends start getting added, pillows, blankets, dog food, ice chest, tea hot/cold, then where to pack his dress hat and boots so they don't get scuffed... The reunion trip I pack for the girls from here, (I always keep enough of everything to be able to have them dropped off and be able to go for a week without running out of anything without my kids having to pack.) that way I know what they have and will be wearing for the trip. This time I think I will focus on my e supplies first. Priorities you know! After all they have stores just not vape stores! That seems like a perfectly good reason to get new jewelry to me!

Greetings,

Started Vaping : July 1st, 2013
Stopped Smoking : Not Applicable

I was told that the people who frequent this thread are Long-Time or Ex-LongTime Cigarette Smokers ?
If this is true,... I would like to ask your opinion :

What is your best Tobacco Flavor so far ?
I'm also being (semi) specific to Tobacco Flavors that are not combined with any fruity or nutty flavor.
Just Tobacco....
It can be anything you consider to taste like Tobacco. (NET, WTA...whatever...)

Thanks ! !
