That's just ridiculous!!

I would think you could carry 500 ml in 50 or 100 ml bottles easily in your checked baggage. You couldn't carry it in your carry-on. I heard though there is a new law coming out that supposedly prohibits transporting e-cigs even in checked baggage. I don't know if there is any truth in that or just a ecf rumor. It doesn't sound like they could get away with that but who knows.

I'm subscribing here to see what's going on (without reading near 1,000 posts).

My current equipment is a home-brew vv mod with an 808 connector and Echo Crystal Vision cartomizers with cotton string wicks. I vape mostly tobacco flavors at 24 mg. I'm looking for a good DIY RY4. I also have an 808 VaporLuxe for sale in the classifieds if someone might be interested.

There are quite a few familiar avitars here.

Welcome to the old folks home CB, we're a pretty tame bunch of folks in here.

Forgot to mention, my new batch of 650 mah KGOs from sweet-vapes came in yesterday and that's what I'm using today at work. While my real 3.4V eGo's served me well for 2 months, I appreciate the higher voltage in the KGOs for sure. The small KGO coupled with the now working CE4+ make a very compact carry combo...

Here is a kind of encouraging article from another subforum regarding the New York issue: http://online.wsj.com/article/AP00fa...688c45455.html

I am pretty disturbed, however, that the American Cancer Society is only looking at e-cigs as a medium to get kids hooked on smoking....what about the thousands of us who have been to quit smoking with them?

Semi....can I ask where you are going that takes that long to ship??? Just ignore me if I'm being nosy

We travel every year to some far outreach islands in the Philippines - spend most of the winter there (see my avatar for how I spend a lot of my time).. The reason it takes so long is how it is shipped. The Philippines has an annual duty free allowance that can be shipped in without taxes being levied. There are companies in the US that are specialists at this. There are only 4 ports in the Philippines that accept these shipments so nothing moves until a freight container is full and then it heads to the Philippines and then when it gets there it does not head to its final destination until enough boxes are available to warrant heading in that direction also. The boxes are 2 cubic ft each and spend a lot of time waiting to being moved from one point to another, but since they are flat rate shipments with no duty charges it is the best way to go - you just have to have patience...

Last year I took 120ml and had to answer questions at every customs check point that asked and almost had it confiscated at one. Since I DIY the nic was in amber bottles with no labels. This year since I have ordered from a few vendors I will be using their bottles and that way I will have labels with ingredients and it should be easier. I was told 120ml was the maximum for checked baggage last year by customs last year so that is why I took 120ml. If I could find PG over there 120ml would be all I would need if I just took nic...

I have heard the battery restrictions were with the size and quantity of the batts. Korean and Philippines airlines let me vape during my flight last year as long as I did not blast large plumes of vapor into the air... LOL...

Jeez Semi, we're near related!

My wife of 35 years is from the Philippines and I lived there for 4 years. Beautiful country and great people. My wife goes back every couple of years, I haven't been back since we left in 1980. When I finally retire for good, that's where we're headed...

LOL NGIB... Then you definitely understand the backwoods nature of the place. We have been going back steadily (mostly together) for the last 12 years... Since I went into Semi-retirement we have lengthened our stays over the last few years...

Well, to get to my wife's area - first you head for the boon docks and then once you get there you turn left and you still got a ways to go. There are no landlines, their satellite TV gets 42 channels, their cell service is spotty at best and their idea of DSL is what we would call dial up (384k) and that is available if you drive 12 miles into the nearest town... LOL

Now, you see why I do not expect vaping supplies to be readily available (LOL)...

Wow Semi. Sounds like a fascinating trip, but don't know if I'd like being THAT cut off. It almost sounds like you'll have to address whatever you ship to 3rd treehouse on the left. lol I'm sure it's far more modern than that, but that's the image I get. : ) At least it's legal there.

Welcome Cool Breeze!

Oh ok I didn't think about customs and another country. I only fly here in the states!:)
Here I think it is 3 oz for carry on.

I couldn't get the article to pull up. Don't even get me started on some of these organizations, because I will come completely unmanufactured!

The folks that published the vaping magazine in the Canada section are now promoting it all over the forum. In the 1st issue is a glowing review of Greensmoke.

I made a comment in the review thread that I'd never include a glowing review of an overpriced, under performing product in anything I published - and I was politely told to be quiet and go away. Where's integrity in this world anymore?

LOL... Actually the address is the name of the village (they call it a barrio) and from there it goes by name delivery - pointing and such... It is peaceful to get away sometimes and that is why we go there... If I drive about 3 hours I can be in a mid size city, but usually only go there once a month for those staple items that I miss from civilization (pancake mix and such - LOL)... I got so stared at and questioned about my Joye Gear last year it was funny. Mike would never make it down the street with a Provari...

Sounds about like the town I lived in, 5 mins from this one. 1 blinking light in town, they have addresses, but we got mail that would have a totally wrong address, but it still got to us.

Ok folks. I need some encouragement, but also need tech help. Doesn't anyone know how to put a riva battery back together?? 3 weeks vaping today. Decided to clean a stardust. Watched the video, paused it. Hooked stardust to my battery, rocked the plastic tube to get it off the base like the video showed. Now bear in mind, I don't have much grip.....can't open most jars without an act of congress, but yeah, I totally ripped the top off my battery. The silver part where the button is. Played button, button, who's got the button......found the button......(played this game 2 more times before putting the button in a tin so I wouldn't lose it again). My kit came with two, so I can still vape except for when I'm charging (that'll be a fun 3 hrs). But I just don't have the money to replace this right now, and although the warranty is still good, I don't think this would be covered. lol When I push the innards down, it lights up, but there is a red wire sticking up that is probably supposed to attach to something in the part that came off. I know this is live and learn, and we all make mistakes, bad choices etc, but wow.....I have messed up every single thing I've done so far in one way or another. Do I need to chunk this and just wait til I can afford to replace it, or do you think I can fix it? Keeping in mind of course, that I'm a much better breaker than I am a fixer.

Tx, thank you! I'm slowly but surely learning what NOT to do. lol Gee, after that incredible hulk moment.....maybe I should try some weight lifting! lol Wow, just re-read that last post and man did I sound whiny. Sorry bout that y'all. Just so frustated. But I will get my humor back. Very very thankful for this community. I think I'd have likely given up before now if it hadn't been for y'all and others here on ECF. Huge hugs to all of you! I refuse to go back to cigs. In the last couple of months, 3 more friends have ended up on oxygen and I really don't want that to be me.
