moishesmom, maybe it lasts that long because I also have 4 other batteries I use all day long? Really like these 1100 MaH ego's I have. I use the ego spinner to run the Kanger T3. One day I like that cart and the next day I'm not so sure about it..sigh

OLDER71, HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

Semiretired, like the pantry shelf :) Wish my husband could do what he used to do before his shoulders became such a problem. If he could we'd redo the utility room and put one of those in it!

Just saw this thread. Just started vaping recently after a 20 Month hiatus. I used that time to FINALLY get off of a 60+ Year habit of tobacco use!!! I found that vaping along with the ciggies & the pipe just wasn't getting Me where I wanted to be.

Since coming back to vaping, I have been trying a lot of different equipment. So far the best move has been a variable voltage vaporizer along with different ohm levels of cartridges. Been using 510 clearmizers with varing degrees of quality (mostly poor). Am now trying tanks.

I'll be 71 this Month, wish Me happy birthday:):toast:
Happy Birthday and welcome to the thread. So far I am liking my mini Vivi Nova the best - but I just ordered 3 EVODs - since I like a cool vape and they sound like they are working well.
Well, at least if there were B&Ms closer to us we could see different devices in person. I'm one of those shoppers who likes to pick things up before I purchase. These things are expensive. When I hit the lottery I'll open a store and have some of everything so people can come in and see a selection. Who knows, some people might buy something they didn't know they wanted if they could see it first. That might be kinda fun to just hang out and talk to people about vaping all day. Oh no, what am I thinking! I've worked with the public, maybe I don't want to go back to that... On the other hand, if I hit the lottery I could I could just show the problem people out the side door.
Janet - I do not need a B&M closer - I already manage to spend too much - just by checking out what all the fine folks on this thread keep praising and sending links too
Oooooh that is sooooo cool BacsiBob! I love it!!! I'm beginning to need one LOL
I agree -very nice BacsiBob - between yours and the ones Mike posted - I need to pull my blinders down. No more shopping this month - between Vegas and today's orders if I don't stop I will have to go back to work

@semi - nice pantry - for now I would just be happy with something like the ones Mike posted earlier or that BacsiBob has built - now I just have to be strong and take notes - cause I am not ordering anything more this month. :nun: praying for strength to stick to this.

Hello. I just found this thread, and am glad I did. After 40+ yrs of smoking, I got a cig-a-like for my birthday last month. Then the OCD kicked in and I started to research, research, research (my brain hurts now, lol) I am currently waiting on an Ego 900maH, assorted juices, and some cartomizers for my cig-a-like. I made the mistake of showing my youngest daughter some of the juices on a website (she's 25, don't worry..no minors..and she has never smoked, lol) and I think I have created an unintentional monster!! She is going to be ordering some 0 nicotine when she gets paid and 'test run' my Ego to see if she likes it...I see a hobby we can both enjoy in our future. :)

I'm thinking the addition of a little menthol or peppermint. I bought some Harvest Fruit from Capella's and it's very good but it just sat there cause I had no desire to vape it. I added a little menthol and now I'm vaping it.

Fran, you sound like me, everything I vaped had to have some menthol or peppermint or wintergreen or some minty quality to it, for the longest time. Everything without just tasted "flat" to me, lacking in flavor. Unlike you, I do like sweet, and there was a whole bunch of flavors I had to avoid because they just do not go well with mint or menthol. Menthol cheesecake anyone? Ewww! Menthol vanilla custard? No! Menthol butterscotch cookie? I'll pass. But by themselves it was like vaping air! And then I discovered Koolada! It gives the throat feel of menthol without the taste, and that helped a lot with letting me experiment with different flavors! My son likes it too, and I mix for him, so I go through a lot of it lately. But I think any fruit flavor goes good with a little menthol. I just had to learn what a "little" meant. Where it used to be menthol with a touch of fruit, not it's the other way around. It took me a while but I actually like it so much better now! Oh, and I just got a couple of Evods and for whatever reason, I am really tasting the flavors, I love it!!!

I was curious Fran, were you a menthol smoker? I think it's odd there isn't always a correlation between smoking and vaping and the menthol thing. I know more people that favor menthol vaping who never smoked menthol cigarettes than the other way around. I was always a menthol smoker and said if they wanted to make me quit all they had to do was eliminate menthols! I couldn't stand regular cigarettes...I think that's why DH started smoking them! LOL! Anyway, I would say that to this day most of my jooses still, and probably always will, have some element of menthol in them, though over time I seem to cut back overall and save the higher menthol for a select few when mu mood dictates.

I was just thinking too...I just downloaded a copy of e-Juice Me Up onto this computer recently, and there is a whole slew of recipes already saved in there to work with! I remember there being a few when I d/l a while back for a different computer, but there seems to be a bunch more now! There is also a nice recipe book on the ECX site, which you probably know, and E-Liquid Recipes this one too. Have fun and let us know how ya do!

Wow - Mod rental is a great idea Janet!!!

Another HUGE advantage to having a B&M around! I don't know why we are so lucky but we have a slew of em around the Ft Myers area and therefore a slew of vapers too, but it's nice to be able to run down to your favorite vaping place and check out the new stuff first hand. Try it out, really get to know it up close and personal! I hate to say this, but I've often looked there and bought online when the price difference has been great! I like to keep business local, but I don't have money to burn...that's why I quit smoking! I've told them that too...if they want or care about my business, stay competitive. I know they have overhead...but so do I!

But for places with no B&M stores, I agree, this could be a great idea...if you could figure out how to get it back! LOL!

We have two of something like those for our pantry. They are great... Get to work Mike... Should have it done by Christmas... (LOL)

Glad you didn't say 'next Christmas'.

Welcome molli, always nice to have new folks joining us. Make yourself comfortable and join in the fun. Oh, most of us hang out over here too, in another thread that's not limited to talking about vaping.

I just tried googling eCig stores around us and the only one's listed ate at Walgreens pharmacies. They sell Green Smoke and they're everywhere! Seems like they were building one of those on every other corner. I recently spoke to my sister in Ft. Myers FL and she said she sees people vaping all the time down there. She wouldn't know exactly what they were vaping though since she doesn't smoke or vape. Are the stores you're familiar with sell other than the Green Smoke?

Hello there Molli and welcome! We're a fun bunch here and pretty much there's someone who can answer just about any questions you might have or at least be able to direct you to the answers. Hubby and I have been vaping for 1-1/2 years now and are still learning and trying new things. It's become a very enjoyable hobby. There sure are a lot of fun flavors out there!

That's interesting that your daughter is interested in vaping as a non smoker. My experience with younger people is that they don't think it's as "cool" as smoking. There are many people who have reduced their nic to 0 and still vape, but it's unusual that someone would want to vape who doesn't smoke. At any rate, it should be fun for you to compare notes and learning about vaping together.

A big welcome to all the new people and happy birthday O71! This is the place for all the coolest fogies to gather! LOL! I was thinking before, (I try not to do it too often though) it would be very cool if we could somehow arrange a BS session online where we could meet up at a certain time and chat live, maybe even with video? I use google plus and myself and up to 9 friends can video conference together and it is just a hoot! Of course it doesn't have to be that, and I am certainly no expert, but I do know there are programs out there that allow a bunch of people to voice and/or video chat together for FREE and allow us to have a virtual meeting! Some of us have know each other for years! Wouldn't it be fun to meet up face to face and show off our toys or just say hello? We wouldn't have to worry about transportation, packing, or getting dolled up to go meet each other, we would just sit where we always do and let technology take us! I think it would be a lot of fun! Anybody else think so? Even if you don't personally have a video camera, I'm sure you can still see and hear those that do, so you can still participate in the fun! It's how I communicate with my grandkids when I can't be there, and it is just so awesome compared to the phone not only because I can see them, but I can hear them so much better with the sound all around me and not just in one ear! I love it! Lemme know what you all think, maybe we can get something going! Our own zero cost vape-fest!

One more thing. This is kind of redundant, but I recently got an Evod on a whim, which I never do, but it was on sale at I-Vape as were the heads. (Don't forget the coupon code) Since I do prefer the bottom coil and I just like the looks of the stupid thing, I figured I'd give it a spin. It was a bit smaller than I anticipated, but that is fine actually. Since I've ordered it I've been seeing other posts about it, mostly positive, but not much detail as to why. So I'm curious...if you got one, what do you like about it that sets it apart from other things you've tried? Two of the biggies for me is the cleanness and purity of flavor that comes through, and 2nd, how long that lasts. I am a chain vaper and anything I use has a tendency to muck up and turn black and nasty, and becomes impossible to draw on within days, and that is being generous. After the second refill, it didn't really even need it, but just to play safe, I rinsed the tube and the head, patted it off and refilled it. It was like brand new. I've done that repeatedly since I began using it, what, 3 days ago? It is still like brand new! I can't get over the fact that the draw is still so smooth and easy...by now everything else would be like trying to suck a bowling ball through a straw! I love this thing!!! I hear they are coming out with a new bottom coil soon with a glass tank? Anyone know it's name? I hope it is as good as this one as I would love to have a glass tank! And I do love this! Did I mention that I really love this? Yep, I do! And why do you?

I hate the way I am always behind so all my replies always cluster together at the end in one big annoying block! Not that they are any less annoying separately, but... oh well. Love you all!

I think she was more intrigued by some of the flavors she saw at Alice's site than any serious interest in vaping. I figure a sampler will do for her, and she can decide if this is something she wants to continue. All it will cost her is the sampler, since we already have a cig a like here and a ego coming.

CharlieGirl, I'm busy logging into work, so I'll have to come back to say why I like my eVod, but the glass tank will be called the Kanger Protank.

From what I've been able to find so far, it may (and sounding likely) use the eVod coils - that would be AWESOME!!!

Oh heck yeah that would be awesome Kat! I am LOVING these things! These things in glass would be perfection! Protank...even I can remember that! Thank you!!! Can't wait! Time frame...any clue?
