Funny you should mention Tx. Been thinking about him a lot today. Sometimes he doesn't post, but clicks on the like button and haven't seen that for awhile. Maybe we gotta step up the prayers a bit.

I too have been thinking about him. I agree - time to up the prayers.

To my great surprise, it was pretty easy to get rid of my nic addiction a few months after I started vaping but it took some time to get use to the difference in the juice without any nic in it. Some juices just seem to need a little nic in them to make them more enjoyable :)

I said this in another thread today, my vaping today is a lot like drinking coffee for me. Sometimes I enjoy a cup or two of cafeinated coffee because I feel like it and enjoy it but I'm perfectly fine with drinking decaffeinated coffee. If I never drank another cup of caffeinated and only drank decaf coffee I'd survive just fine ;) I DIY most of my juice as 0 mg nic but sometimes I still choose to vape some low level nic juice and enjoy it :)

I started at 24mg nic. That only lasted about a month, then down to 18. I was at 18 or 18 w/ WTA for a long time. A few months ago, I noticed I wasn't reaching for the WTA PV much any more and now i only use some every few days. And, my nic level is down to about 12-15mg. Janet starts w/ an 18mg nic base and after adding flavs it's usually in the 12-15 range. As my nic level has decreased, so has my daily consumption. Yesterday I felt like I was constantly vaping and I was testing a new PV, using it exclusively. I vaped it from the time I got up 'till bedtime and when I re-filled the tank, it only less than 3 mls. I was def vaping more than that a day 6 months ago.

Oh - and the new PV testing didn't turn out good. My new Zmax is on the way back. Push the 'power button' and the display just reads 'Short' regardless of what's screwed to the top of it. And everything I screwed to the top of it worked just fine on my other PVs. The Sigelei ZMax has a pretty good built quality as to the PV itself, but the assembly of the electronics seemed pretty poor. At least 25 units from the co-op have had serious problems. At least Sigelei is willing to replace them all, but at the cost of shipping from China again.

I'm going to give my 24mg juice a shot this weekend when I'm chaining and see how I do. My AIV juices are getting old!

Sorry to hear the Z didn't work out. This is reinforcing my resolve to get a Billet or maybe a REO. Though I'm still
on the fence about the REO.

Well - I actually tried a no nic experiment this week too. I have wondered for awhile if it really is the nic or just the act of smoking that I really need. Well - I discovered that I do still need some nic. I was not longing for a cigarette which is good :) but I did find that I was "down" and definitely easily agitated - well ok darn right cranky

Kari, it was so strange to read your description of how you felt during your no-nic experiment. It had been so long that I had forgotten those feelings.

Based on when and how I used to get the urge for a cigarette, I really do believe that the activity of vaping is the biggest part of my need. And, even the craving for nic itself isn't really just as simple as that.

For example, I crave smoking/vaping much less when my blood sugar is well regulated. The feeling I get when my blood sugar is low is very similar to the feeling I get when I used to crave a cigarette. It's also very similar to the feeling I got years ago when I decided to drink only decaffeinated coffee. I didn't like the feeling and went back to regular coffee.

A lot of people feel they "should" slowly cut down on their nic intake and eventually quit even vaping. I'm not one of them.

I always intended to cut down some if I could without any issues. Why use more than necessary or pay more than necessary? But, I never felt any urgency to do so. I would be perfectly content to vape 18mg until the day I die.

But, with all the Zombie Apocalypse stuff going on, I just thought I'ld try and see where I stand and what the possibilities were. I was about to be paid and was wondering if I even needed to bother extending myself to seriously stock up on nic.

Needless to say, after the dismal failure of my experiment, I bought another liter of nic within an hour of my paycheck hitting the bank!

Thank you all for your suggestions for creating non-nic TH. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. I've got a lot of experimenting to do. I'm sure I'll be able to lower my nic strength some over time. I may never get to 0 nic. But, now I have enough of a stockpile so I have plenty of time to figure it out!

Mike, I'm sorry about your bad experience with the Zmax. But, thanks for sharing the info with us. I need all the help i can get to curb my Vaping Hardware Aquisition Disorder!

Has anyone heard from him yet? I'm praying as hard as I can!

ETA: Good moring, Debadoo and FranC! Or, rather good-night! I'm going back to sleep so I can make it through work this evening!

Morning all :) Hope TX shows up soon.

I find 0 nic just fine. So I vape mostly that during the day. I do keep 1 tank filled with 6 meg juice and I have enough nicotine on hand to make up 1000 ML 6 meg if I need it. Kena is correct on adding more PG for a throat hit...and try lemon juice if you need a kick..heh! I mix everything at 80/20 and do have some at 100% PG.

CE3's. Altsmoke has them in stock and Discount Vapor is out of stock for them.

Gloria I get a weird taste with the Evod...metallic or Plastky. Don't really like that clero. Sigh!
Awww...that's a shame about the Evod tasting bad to you. I'm really enjoying the one that I got. Have had it loaded up with different coffee flavors since I got it and it's still going strong.
How about cleaning it with vinegar and then using a strong tasting juice in it? It'd be worth a shot. :)

Don't know if you DIYers have seen this neat lil' gadget for mixing your recipes...

NEW NORPRO Deluxe Cordless Mini Mixer 5 Pc Set (free shipping)

Just mixed up some Janet's Heaven and... WOW, this thing is great! I used the straight attachment. Its tip is split so that centrifugal forced flexes the tip 'outward'. It also fits in my joose bottles. Some DIYers that mix 'bakky flavs say that this has replaced steeping!
Thanks much for this review Iffy!!! I've had that in my Amazon "save for later" list for a while now, next time I place an order it'll go in the cart. :)

Same thoughts here Janet. Adding my prayers to everybody elses here.

Little success story, I just got engaged and my fiancees parents are both in their 60s, both smokers for 30+ years. Now, both smoke free for a month, happily using a couple ego's we got them.

Thanks for sharing the success story about your fiancees parents! Kudos to you for introducing them to vaping!!! :)

Gloria, I've had strong flavored juices in it. Gurgling now on the 2nd head :( May try to clean the head with vinegar though...Tastes just as crummy with the 2nd head as the first. But maybe washing out the cylinder with vinegar might help it. Sent you a message..I have Vape Mail :) TY!!!!

Well bummer! I see that some others are posting the same results as you with the Evod, so I guess it's hit or miss with the quality control on these things. Haven't even looked at the head on the Evod (got it at carolinavapes), but what do you think about trying to rewick it with cheesecloth or some Aunt Lydias?
