Well - I actually tried a no nic experiment this week too. I have wondered for awhile if it really is the nic or just the act of smoking that I really need. Well - I discovered that I do still need some nic. I was not longing for a cigarette which is good

but I did find that I was "down" and definitely easily agitated - well ok darn right cranky
Kari, it was so strange to read your description of how you felt during your no-nic experiment. It had been so long that I had forgotten those feelings.
Based on when and how I used to get the urge for a cigarette, I really do believe that the activity of vaping is the biggest part of my need. And, even the craving for nic itself isn't really just as simple as that.
For example, I crave smoking/vaping much less when my blood sugar is well regulated. The feeling I get when my blood sugar is low is very similar to the feeling I get when I used to crave a cigarette. It's also very similar to the feeling I got years ago when I decided to drink only decaffeinated coffee. I didn't like the feeling and went back to regular coffee.
A lot of people feel they "should" slowly cut down on their nic intake and eventually quit even vaping. I'm not one of them.
I always intended to cut down some if I could without any issues. Why use more than necessary or pay more than necessary? But, I never felt any urgency to do so. I would be perfectly content to vape 18mg until the day I die.
But, with all the Zombie Apocalypse stuff going on, I just thought I'ld try and see where I stand and what the possibilities were. I was about to be paid and was wondering if I even needed to bother extending myself to seriously stock up on nic.
Needless to say, after the dismal failure of my experiment, I bought another liter of nic within an hour of my paycheck hitting the bank!
Thank you all for your suggestions for creating non-nic TH. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. I've got a lot of experimenting to do. I'm sure I'll be able to lower my nic strength some over time. I may never get to 0 nic. But, now I have enough of a stockpile so I have plenty of time to figure it out!
Oh - and the new PV testing didn't turn out good. My new Zmax is on the way back. Push the 'power button' and the display just reads 'Short' regardless of what's screwed to the top of it. And everything I screwed to the top of it worked just fine on my other PVs. The Sigelei ZMax has a pretty good built quality as to the PV itself, but the assembly of the electronics seemed pretty poor. At least 25 units from the co-op have had serious problems. At least Sigelei is willing to replace them all, but at the cost of shipping from China again.
Mike, I'm sorry about your bad experience with the Zmax. But, thanks for sharing the info with us. I need all the help i can get to curb my Vaping Hardware Aquisition Disorder!
Funny you should mention Tx. Been thinking about him a lot today. Sometimes he doesn't post, but clicks on the like button and haven't seen that for awhile. Maybe we gotta step up the prayers a bit.
Has anyone heard from him yet? I'm praying as hard as I can!
ETA: Good moring, Debadoo and FranC! Or, rather good-night! I'm going back to sleep so I can make it through work this evening!
