That can be very scary. Glad your ok today.
As soon as I noticed my hands getting red and swelling, I kept them VERY FAR away from my face until I could wash them. I tend to have my throat swell shut and stop breathing if Latex gets anywhere near my face. Should have seen hubby trying NOT to drown me when he gave me the benadryl and held the glass of water..his were the only latex free hands at that time...mine were in hot water and soap....

For me to send it back I would have to try and get my power chair downtown to the post office, maneuvering across town over unplowed sidewalks covered in ice and snow. (I don't drive) SO not going to happen since this thing has 'slicks' on it and doesn't drive worth crap on anything but dry ground. (and no, they don't make snow tires, or chains for it...I've looked)
Forgive me if these are things you know already, Molli: shipping supplies, including Priority Mail boxes and stamps, can be ordered from the USPS, delivered to your home. Priority Mail boxes are free, and there is no surcharge for stamps. You pay the actual value of the stamps, nothing more. This would make it unnecessary to go to the PO to mail a small package or envelope.

Not sure. Is it normal for the coil to glow bright orange?

In my opinion, a bright orange would indicate a dry coil (not good). I'm surprise you could see the coil.

When I was testing clearos, I'd dry burn 'em after disassembly/ 'cleaning'. It took quite a bit of pulsing to burn off the coil residue before I would see any bright orange.

Watching many rba vids, I can't recall seeing bright orange unless the coil was dry or had a hot spot.

Just my .02 FRN...

Aaach! I'm not here for a day and a half, and instead of trying to catch up, I'm just going to go with the flow, otherwise I'll be here all day. Just don't know what I'll I do when my daughter and SIL come to visit for a week.

We don't own a laptop so that's a bit of a disadvantage! If I had one it would be a lot easier to DIY by taking it into another room! Now, I write notes and take them with me but I'd have to do that anyway.......babbling, so stop here, Gracie.

Natasha, so sorry you had all those problems with your batteries, but also glad that you're correcting the situation with some quality stuff; namely the Vamo.

You sure have had a bit of drama in your life recently but am so glad to read that your MIL is reacting now in a positive healing way.

Oh, I am really liking my carto tanks. I bought a second one from Mad Vapes and even though the IKV seems to have a purer flavor, this one is a very close second. I wish I could use the IKV mega cartos in my SmokTech tank, but they are 3.5ml. A lil of this and a little of that is making my head spin!

Someone mentioned that Boge is packing the filler tighter. If so maybe I'm not priming them enough
to compensate.

Could be. The initial fill is the critical one! Ensure that the filler material is fully saturated before vaping. Maybe overfill just a bit and then gently blow any excess out the tube. Do this a couple of times with new cartos until you recognize a saturated carto. Subsequent top offs will soak in faster after the initial fill.

DO NOT FIRE THE PV UNTIL YOU'RE SURE THE FILLER MATERIAL IS INITIALLY SATURATED! Once burnt, the filler will always taste off.

BTW, the greater the filler density, the harder the draw.

Molli,
I'm latex intolerant too. Not as bad as you apparently, but just the smell of latex gives me a headache, and I get sick to my stomach.

It was very weird clicking the "like" button on this post! That has to be very frightening, but at least you knew what was happening and had the presence of mind to do the right thing to help yourself. Good thing it didn't progress too far. I am so grateful that I don't have any allergies, I feel so bad for people who do. And it's a good thing you're not allergic to plastics! Drip tips, juice bottles and CCs would be off limits! Oh No! :w00t:

OH dang Molli, so glad you're ok! I can just picture dh trying to help with the water glass, oh my.

We had NO clue her mattress was latex based, or she wouldn't have let me within 10 feet of it. My latex allergy is well known in my family. It's amazing how many things have latex 'hidden' in them...the patch, nicotine gum, etc. SO glad I found vaping or I would still be smoking because of the latex. Also, did you know bananas have the same chemical composition to Latex? No banana vapes for me!! And Hubby helping me....not pretty, but I let him live :) We always keep benadryl on hand, just in case.

Bubblegum. I worked for double Bubble once as a contractor. That's when I found out one of the main ingredients is latex.

When Mike put the extension on his I told him it reminded me of those huge flashlights the police use! Guess it would be good to have if you were in a dark ally! Can't imagine vaping on something that huge myself, but some people like it.

I didn't use mine much in the 18650 mode until I broke my Zmax now I use it all the time. I normally carry it in a lanyard so the length doesn't bother me now that I'm used to it.:)

My intent, when my Vamo arrives, is to use it with just one 350 battery at a time rather than stack them. If I find that stacked is fine with me, which is very possible considering I've got very large hands, I'll order a 650 battery or two. If not, I'll order another pair of 350s.

Oh my I sure had a few laughs getting caught up here too. giggle.gif looks like there was some serious fun happening

You got that right! And after reading the VAMO battery thread, it did not get any better. That thread has made me more confused. One thing I did get from the VAMO batt thread is DON'T STACK the 18350 unless you know what you are doing. That rules me out. nI had ordered 4 of the 18350, but now I'm thinking I may change 2 of those to 1 18650.. just for grins.
WHY are batteries so damn dangerous....?? OMG

So Natasha is going for the "big" PV, punching cartos and trying fancy tanks. You sure are not wasting anytime getting to the "advance" vapor stage :D and her I am going backwards and getting a small cig-like setup  Good for you being so brave to try all this :toast:

I think I still get too scared everytime I read about someone trying to figure out the whole battery thing - which battery - which charger and I have to go and hide  I will be watching to see how it all goes for you.

No drinking for me tonight...was helping daughter remove mattress cover to wash, turns out her 'tempurpedic' type mattress is LATEX..am currently heavily benadryl-ed, hoping to avoid trip to ER. (yeah, I'm THAT allergic) On an upside, my Mt Baker order should be here tomorrow (makes note to order on Friday's from now on..faster to get to me it seems. Order on Monday and it takes all week, stupid US Snail) AND my China order is shipping tomorrow!

Really glad to hear that you came thru the reaction ok. Very scary I am sure. My only grandson has a lot of allergies and is anaphylactic to nuts - so I worry every time he comes to visit. Although I think now just about everything is labled - "may contain nuts" just to prevent any possibility. So it does make it hard to feed him :glare:

PLEASE, just don't tell me that my Spandex® waddling ensemble has Latex...

Iffy, you are right on it! I love my tanks, Phil Busardo just did a video on carto's and tanks where he took a carto core and showed how fast it burns up.
If you are having trouble check this out on You Tube A PBusardo Review & Tutorial - QT-1 (not really a) carto punch and Working with carto tanks - YouTube
