PLEASE, just don't tell me that my Spandex® waddling ensemble has Latex...

BTW, does this make my ankles look too large?
dontknow.gif
to mis-quote several funny-men. No, your large ankles make your ankles look too large!!

See now this is the part I don't comprende.... I like a COOL vape. Which I why I think I keep gravitating to ICE/MINT eliqs. I don't like things when they get warm. And if/when one chain vapes, things get warm.
SO.. here is my plan....
The spinners I plan to use w/ clearos. And ATM I have CE5s and T2s.
The VAMO I will plan to use w/ the Boge LR 2.0 cartos and tanks. What settings do I use with either device to keep the vape more "cool"?

And am I thinking logically??
I find that with the vapeonly BCC, I have to keep the voltage down below 3.8 and get a nice cool vape.

Ok, now I have another question....
I noticed that when I started using the eGOs, I would get these massive headaches. Up the back of my neck and into the back of my head. I DO NOT have this issue since blowing up the eGOS and reverting back to the VOLTS.
SO... are the headaches likely from nicotine OD w/ the bigger eGOS (1.2 liqs) or is this just a reaction to more/bigger vaping? Also did NOT have these headaches b4 moving to the egos. And yes, I am pretty much chain vaping when I can.
since you are vaping more, I would blame the nic... if you didn't vape as much with your other device then that would be more evidence of that. Try lower nic. :)

And in other news.. MIL is still doing verah well. 2 SILs have arrived to help encourage and entertain. 1 SIL is a long-time smoker. And tonight she played w/ both mine, DH's and niece's VOLT ecigs and ordered her own! She said that she has been PRAYING for something to help her stop smoking. And now she is pumped and has hope! On the road..... atta girl!
GOOD ON YOU for getting MIL to switch!!! we hope...

No, did not get these headaches w/ the higher nics from the beginning volts. Howev, was ALSO NOT vaping as nearly as much as I do now. Seems the longer I vape, the MORE I vape.
I will try the 12 nic again when the new batts arrive and see what happens. Then lower the nic and see what happens. I had also wondered if just the VAPING ACT and constant "sucking" caused stress in the neck area...
I don't know.. more experimenting to follow, I suppose.
I hesitate to offer an opinion because I seem to have misplaced my medical degree, but I think that it's possible that the way you vape could cause that kind of stress, particularly if you're using different muscles than you used when you smoked. I also think you might be on to something regarding getting too much nicotine.

Bottom coil clearomizers, such as a T3, produce cooler vapor. Most sellers say the bottom coil clearos have "a nice warm vapor" which is misleading. I guess they think it would hurt sales if they said the vapor is cooler. The T3s are a harder draw, though, possibly tied in to the fact that the vapor is lower temperature.

That BP is pretty scary. Have you checked it since you started vaping?

Do you have any idea WHY you had them? And what did you take. I am eating ibuprofen like candy. To no avail. BUT... I've not had them now for 24 hrs.
Hmmmm.... I think I need to see if the headaches return when the spinners and the VAMO arrive. I just assumed .....

That's very strange. Usually headaches that start in the neck are muscle stress related and it would make sense that you don't wake up with one, but get them in the afternoon. It could be your body is just not able to handle stress like it used to? Migraines are usually mostly on one side of the head. I used to get them a lot, but I would be left with a sinus headache which could last a day or 2. Vitamin C seems to have cured that because it keeps sinuses clear. Now I just get the visual part without the pain.

You're using the same nic strength and PG/VG ratio whether it's with the Volt or the eGo right? You seemed to know if the nic was too strong. But are you vaping more with the eGo and maybe you're absorbing more nic? I made lower nic juice for Mike when he'd be working with rebuilding attys and vaping a lot and it helped him not to get "all niced up". Nicotine is a known sleep disrupter. Mike and I both notice that we get better sleep if we lower nic before sleep - either not vape or even vaping 0-6 nic before sleep.

I guess you just need to pay attention to what your vaping activity is prior to having a headache hit and see if you can figure out a correlation. Your body is changing without analogs and may react differently than you're used to. It's definitely not good to be be taking so much ibuprophen regularly. Maybe switch sometimes to Tylenol or something else to avoid messing with your liver. I hope you figure this out quickly - headaches are not fun.

I wondered about this also. Howev, vaping on a VOLT vs vaping on a eGO is comparable to sucking air thru a pinched coffee stirrer vs an actual straw. IMO, one has to draw ALOT harder on the VOLT. So, you would think it would be the volt that caused the problems if more muscle related. I don't know....

And yes, the BP has been being checked regularly. It varies. Never had high blood pressure until last year. Vaping does not seem to affect it much one way or the other.

Oh, another thought - don't know if this would help you. (I used to have headaches all the time) Ibuprophen used to be my go to choice for headaches, but when I'd have one that the ibuprophen didn't touch I'd try an Advil Cold and Sinus the headache would magically disappear.

I'm still thinking that the difference in a battery wouldn't cause a headache. Sounds more like it would be the nic or flavoring or frequency of vaping or could it possibly be a reaction to too much PG or VG?

Well, these headaches have been pretty much confined to the right side of me neck and head.
Yes, same PV/VG/Nic in all devices. And the sleep disruption has gone on for years, since turning 45. I call it "age". I just don't sleep well anymore... no matter what, it seems. Really irritating.
I'll try to pay more attention to what I am doing and take notes if the headaches occur again. And def lower the nic levels again.

Well you don't need LR carto's if you like a cool vape. The idea of LR carto's came about to get a warmer vape from PV's like the eGo. On the Vamo, def put it in NO2 mode, and set you voltage to ~3.7 or power (watts) to 6.5 and adjust from there.

Both PG and VG are a humectant and take moisture with them, so part of the reason is you could be getting dehydrated. Being de-hydrated causes headaches, kind of like a hangover. PG also does some other things see below:

When I got my first ego in December I started getting muscle soreness and headaches..

Since I quit smoking last May I have been exercizing alot, working out, walking, jogging, swimming, I got used to being sore all the time. Right before Christmas I treated my self to a more efficient vaporizer than I had been using since quitting analogs.. Basically I was using an 808 style with cartridges and i switched to something with an all day battery and clearomizers.. Great I thought,, lots more satisfying vapor and my batteries never die. I took a break from Exercizing around Christmas for two weeks and I figured the muscle soreness would go away... it didnt. I couldnt figure out why.. Until I joined ECF and found out that I needed to stay hydrated.

Propylene Glycol :

"It has been noted that PG In the body, under conditions of normal minimal exposure is quickly metabolised and excreted. It has been said the metabolic pathway is comparable to that of sugar. PG is rapidly converted into lactic acid, just like what happens with the sugar when being exercised during sports. The lactic acid is then excreted via the urine."

Lactic acid was causing my muscle soreness. Even though I was not exercising, I was still vaping and not drinking enough fluid.. My tendency was coffee in the morning and very little fluid throughout the day. That has changed, at least a gallon of fluid a day and the exercise has resumed the soreness and headaches have subsided.

So Please Stay Hydrated!!

Propylene Glycol check out this informational link on PG

Moral of the story is you have to up your hydration level, it will not be sufficient to hydrate at your previous levels, you have to up your fluid intake, drink more water its better for you especially if you switch devices that may produce more vapor.

Thanks for the reminder. Over the last couple month's I've transitioned from carto/tanks and CE type juice holders to all RBAs. I've been tuning the RBA setups fort max vapor. I like a big plume of steam on the exhale more than the taste of the flavor on the inhale. I'm not really vaping any more than before (have been and still am a heavy vaper) but I'm probably inhaling/exhaling 1 1/2 to 2x's more vapor per vape than I used to. I've definitely felt the difference to my body. My mouth is a lot dryer consistently. I occasionally use some biotene to help. BUT I haven't increased my fluid intake - I do need to work on that.

Interesting - my dentist asked me if I sucked on a lot of hard candies like life savers (I don't do that at all) because my mouth had symptoms of that and also I had a 'dry mouth'. I didn't think of vaping when he asked me those questions. But when I got home, I had an 'ah-ha' moment when I picked up the PV. Could the chain vaping 50/50 PG/VG be the cause of the symptoms the dentist pointed out. Me thinks so.

Yes, I thank you for the reminder, also. Drinking a lot of water was something I learned as a new vaper many moons ago, and it just falls by the wayside sometimes.

I know we haven't been as cold here as a lot of you folks up North, but it's been an usually cold winter for us here in NE Florida, and because of that, my water consumption has decreased a lot! A whole lot! Drinking water just doesn't appeal to me when it's cold!

I've noticed that my lips are dry and I have some itchy skin! I haven't been to the gym lately and my muscles feel sore also, so, back to my jug of lemon water.........it's a good thing the temps are starting to rise, otherwise that would be a chore!

ETA: Oh, and I also notice that when I don't drink enough water, I do get hints of a headache, and other times a full blown one.

It's true, people think of drinking more in warmer weather. I never make a jug of iced tea in the winter. Maybe having some warm tea in the afternoon? I've noticed that if we've been partying and I have too much to drink (adult beverages) having a couple glasses of water before I go to bed helps tremendously to ward off the hangover. We tend to think of food for our bodies and not so much the water we need. Would't it be nice if this was the simple cure for Natasha!!

Got my vapemail! :vapor: And now for the stupid question of the day...Anyone have their tongue go numb testing 'Thug Juice' from MBV? Freebie was "Sour Yum"....no clue what it tastes like yet, due to numb tongue.....lol. Dripping atty is behaving today, maybe I should drop it on the floor more often?

I don't know about the numb tongue and the juice. What does it have in it?
Sometimes atty's need to be reminded who's boss.

Grape, watermelon, sweetener and menthol. I can definitely taste the menthol..I think it's what made the tongue numb....lol. Jury still out on the Sour Yum freebie, it's VERY perfumy so am steeping it.

Oh, I would love to read that this would take care of Natasha's headaches!!

Hmmmm... hydration. I always drink what I consider to be "alot".... as in a minimum of 4-6 16oz bottles of flavored water or green tea daily. But.. maybe that is not enough! Also I don't EVER drink just plain ole water... which might matter. YUCK

Natasha, I drink loads of coffee all day along with green tea, but I don't count that as 'hydration' even though a lot of folks do.

I have a really hard time tolerating plain ole water, so a couple of years ago, at the insistence of my daughter, I started adding Real Lemon juice to my half gallon jug of filtered water, and now it's actually a pleasure to drink.
The lemon juice also acts as a detoxifier. I don't measure it, I just pour it in the bottle.

I'm so hoping this helps you!
