Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

Morning folks.

The ONLY good thing about hot and dry is no skeeters. Looks like we are in for another hot dry one. I'm just a couple hundered miles from you Wendallb so we had basically the same 101 days. Sure not looking forward to a repeat.

Our 1st 100 day last was in late April and most of June was 100+ so we are already better than last year..

Hopefully all you parched TX/AR members will get a part of Invest 96L. It's gonna dump on us here, FL west coast, for a couple of days. Ya'll have a 50/50 chance that it will be influenced by the Texas high mid-week and head your way. Shouldn't build up beyond a minimal tropical storm. Good luck!

They say tomorrow will hit 98 .. the good news is, my yard has not grown a millimeter in the last week .. in fact, what yard .. ?? And, no, I'm not going to water it .. the ground water is so low, watering would be nothing but a wate of money ..

So, kick back, mix up a pitcher of Margaritas or whatever your favorite form of relaxant is ..

    This one's for Sandy ..

Good luck all, especially Uncle Willie. Glad to hear you've finally put the analogs down. I have a good friend who just got his 9th stent and a new pace maker. I got him on the pv last week and he loves it. He's was telling me, last night, how he has noticed easier breath and the convenience of being able to grab his PV and take a draw without going outside and losing 5 or 10 minutes smoking. He said he had a nephew over the other night and he let him try one of his and he didn't want to give it back. He finally got it back, at the end of the night, with an empty carto. Why smoke tobacco when you can smoke a watermelon or a cheese danish, hehe.

Well, we started our kitchen renovation this past week. The contractors started demolition on Tuesday. We have been without a kitchen in the house now since then. Every thing is gone, and good riddance. Everything is being replace except the refrigerator which is just two years old. My wife is very excited. This 1980's kitchen has never worked well. Very poorly designed. We had a kitchen designer lay out our new one and looking forward to it's completion. We are "camping out" in our 5th wheel at least for our meals. It's kind of a pain, but glad that we have it. Supposed to be done in about three weeks. Would be sooner, but 4th of July falls in the middle of the build and nobody is working for 3 days of that week. Oh well timing is everything.

A few years back, we decided to do a total kitchen remodel .. I went thru 3 different sets of contractors .. fired them all .. finally decided to just do it myself .. I mean, how hard could it be .. ?? I work with power tools and wood everyday ..

We cooked off a microwave and an electric skillet .. essentially, a micro kitchen set up on a door held up by saw horses ..

6 months later, I finished .. it was tough but it was done right .. and I learned a lot ..

I think that during that time, I was on an HGTV jag, combined with being a perfectionist .. and the contractors just did not impress me ..

When I started working on my commercial building this year, I went thru 2 sets of contractors before deciding to, again, do it myself .. every 5 minutes I'd see these guys texting and cell phone talking .. so, I went out, stuck my hand out and said "Hand over the phones or get the hell out" .. they left rather than relinquish the phone ..

So far, I have been very happy with this crew. They show up early and work fast and hard. Have seen no slacking on anybody's part. This contractor has a very good reputation in the area and up to this point, he is right on schedule. He gave me a printed schedule of what would be done and when it would be done. All material was in his warehouse before he would start the project, so there would be no waiting on stuff to arrive. He has already checked everything to make sure it is what we ordered and is in good condition. We are satisfied so far. Hope it continues as planned. The only deviation from the plan was on my part. I wanted some additional lighting that was not in the original plan. Not a problem. I went to Lowes and picked up two additional can lights while the electrician was working on the overheads, and he had them in place two hours later, all wired and ready to go. I think that there are some advantages to living in a small town. His reputation is on the line every time he does a job.

Good morning everyone! Summer was only one day this year. High of 75 and rain today. I'm not complaining though because I'm sure it will be here soon enough. I'm not growing a garden this year so I don't need any hot days.:)

I do miss my homegrown Tomaters though!

I decided against a garden this year as well. So, I took an idea from a very old neighbor of mine and planted 5 tomato and 3 bell pepper plants amongst the flowers along the fence. They're coming along nicely. I'd love to sit on the back deck with my PV and watch them grow, but it's just too hot. So, I'll stay inside and console Mike. The air compressor broke, the elec. planer won't work, today the back doorknob broke, the powder room faucet won't shut off, my juice didn't show up in the mail and we have no time to open the pool or spread mulch. I know that it's all going to come together and be fine, but today is not good. So, I'm going to sit here and vape for a minute and count my blessings. I could be living in Syria or something. Just smack me upside the head!

Matzoh ball soup?!!! Will you marry me? And that looks like one of the guitars my ex-husband broke into my house and stole after we were divorced. It was a Gibson Melody Maker. I got it in the late 60's -- it was probably made in '65. I was saving it to sell someday -- My ex stole it along with my Peavey amp, my solid aluminum guitar, and my Fender bass.

DON'T RUB IT IN, guys! DO NOT tell me what that guitar is worth today

I owned and ran a concert sound system, did some studio mixing, worked as an equipment tech and guitarist in my younger years .. it's not as glamorous as it sounds ..

Being the pack rat that I am, I'll sometimes dig thru my box of concert ticket stubbs from back in the day .. it just amazes me what a ticket cost back in the late '60's / early '70's as compared to today ..

Example .. the last time the Stones played St Louis, the high end ticket was around $850.00 if memory serves .. folks lined up a week before the show with lawnchairs and tents .. that same ticket went for $3500 just a few days later .. one ticket ..

Oh man, Willie. I didn't save anything, but I can list some concerts that you probably went to their counterparts. My boyfriend was a sound man so I pretty much could go to anything he was doing the sound for.

From 1968-1972 or so, these are the bands I can remember seeing at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago. It was formerly a roller rink. Aaron Russo named it the Electric Theater. They did a lot of whole body painting there right after Groove Tube. Aaron Russo got sued and had to change the name to Kinetic Playground.

The Kinetic Playground -- $5.00 for three bands. Paul Butterfield Blues Band with Mike Bloomfield, The Who previewing Tommy before the album came out, Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull, Crosby Stills and Nash once, Crosby Stills Nash and Young a few times, Yes, Gentle Giant, King Krimson, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead twice, Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, Blind Faith, Cream, The Who again, Traffic, I can't remember any more right now -- it'll probably come to me later. I went just about every weekend from the time I was 15 until I was 17 and left home for California.

    1972- 1974 or so
The Flying Karamazov Brothers - They juggled everything, including what the audience would bring in.
Firesign Theater - Proctor & Bergman at .... I forget
Phoebe Snow at the Soundstage taping in Chicago

That's about all I can remember. Those were high times to say the least.

Well, Sandy, the truth is, if I did not save anything from that era, I would not remember much of it .. you know what they say about the '60's .. those were the days .. (I think .. )

Firesign Theater .. I used to listen to them on an underground FM station ..

Oh, man, Willie! Oh, man - Another term from back then! In addition to effin far out, or if you were Canadian it would be far oot.

Underground radio. Here in Chicago it came on at 10 or 10:30 at night. One station was called WOPA, OPA being the Oak Park Arms Hotel where it was broadcast from. The DJ's name was Scorpio. It later morphed into WXRT which is pretty popular, I guess. There was also WDAI, which later turned int WLS-FM.

Those days!!! Everything was so exciting and new!

My dad's store on South Michigan Avenue was next door to Brunswick Records. Jackie Wilson recorded there, and many others I can't remember. Astrid Gilberto recorded the album with Girl from Ipanema there, at least I ended up with the record -- probably 1965 or so. Dad gave me all those records! I had the coolest 2-track tapes. In 1965 or 66, I had never heard of the Dead, but Dad got me a 2-track tape of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl and Morning Dew. Another one was Jefferson Airplane, who I had also never heard of.

    Pshew, those days!

I think you are remembering more than you thought .. and yes, high times to say the least .. ;-)

In the mid 60's this country boy went off to the big city to attend college. One Sunday afternoon someone says - let's go over to Fairmount Park - there's going to be a Be-In. What's a Be-in? I don't know. Let's go find out. What we found were girls blowing bubbles and dancing, wearing paisley skirts, flowers in their hair and little else. Let's just say I was introduced to something beyond quadratic equations that afternoon. :D
