We've had a success DIY story tonight. Mike had some BWB Malty that was 30 pg/70 vg and he thinks the vg gunks up his coils too fast. SO, he did his calculating and I mixed up some nice Toffee pg and mixed it up to have a very nice Malty Toffee joose! This DIY stuff is working out very nicely!

Yepper - it can in handy for the 'thick' malty, even cut down the Malty Toffee w/ some 100% PG toffee flavor nic.

Now if I can just think of something to cut down the sweetness of the Bounty Hunter and Gold from NLV. I've vaped about 20 ml's of each and just can't get used to how sweet they are. Got a couple partial bottles and a couple full bottles of each, that I'm just not gonna vape. I may play around w/ the partial bottles and if it doesn't work out - I'll get rid of the full bottles.

Just as a heads-up...

I just heard the Gov'nor of PA already declared a state of emergency and we're still a couple days from the storm. Thank's for the map Iffy - it will remind me as I head off to bed, that Philly's pretty much centered on the expected 'hit' area.

Mike,

Ya might want to take one of da small bottles and add some LJ a drop at a time. It might cut some of da sweetness at some ratio without ya detecting da LJ (although that may not be a bad thang).

Also, check over in the DIY forum... supposedly there is a commercial 'sweet killer' additive available. Good luck!

Glad you found that little tiger gadget - it's wonderful. Years ago Mike and I had to remove the wallpaper in the livingroom at my aunt's house. I ran that little thing all over the walls while Mike mixed the stripper stuff in one of those pump tanks you use for spraying weeds in the yard. He sprayed the walls, waited a few minutes and sprayed them again and the paper practically fell off the walls in perfect sheets. Amazing! I don't know if the stripper stuff was even necessary, some warm water and vinegar probably will do the trick as well. One note of caution though. I removed a border in our bathroom and thought I'd washed the wall underneath very well before painting. After a while you could see where the border was. Then someone at the paint store told me I should have rolled on a sealer before painting. So two years ago I stripped the paper off our bedroom wall using the same method above and wiped the walls down with clear water afterward and then rolled on the sealer before painting. It's been 2 years and the walls are still beautiful so I guess it really does work. As long as you have a big job to do it's nice to at least not have to struggle doing it.
Thanks for that information. The paint I am going to use has a primer in it, But don't know if that is as good a sealer. The paint under the border looks good but who knows. I may call the paint store tomorrow and see what they think of using it, after taking off the border with wall paper removal.

Janet, congratulations and I am so glad to hear you are liking the whole mixing thing! I knew you would once you got over the initial nervousness. That first step really is the hardest part, feeling disoriented and confused and unsure of your next move is very disconcerting, like having 10 thumbs! Once you see how simple it really is and that fear leaves you, a whole new world opens up!

I got started just doctoring some unsatisfactory juices I had...not bad enough to toss, but not good enough to enjoy. After adding some of this and that, they were improved dramatically, and my confidence also got a much needed boost to start me off on my own, "from scratch" mission, very early in my vaping career. I find it to be a very satisfying hobby on many levels, and unlike most hobbies, it actually saves me money! One of my biggest kicks still is to mix tiny quantities (drops) of unlikely flavor pairs together to see what magic (or disaster) you can come up with! My poor friend and roomie Ed must be shellshocked by now when he hears the frightening words: "try this!" Bless him, he always will, and he never says "that sucks", it's usually "interesting" or "not bad". LOL. So sweet! If he says it's good or he likes it, he will usually add "I'm not just saying it to be nice" because that is my usual comeback! LOL! I always ask him to try to figure out the flavors too, sometimes he'll get one, or come close, mostly he's stumped.

His fav? 10%TPA Black cherry w/ a few drops of sweetener and a tiny dash of menthol +VG &nic to suit. Simple tastes. I have too many favs to list, but before my intro to WTA this was my go to when I had an analog craving as I don't care for tobaccos. I call it Koff Dripz as it resembles Ludens Honey Licorice cough drops, a LOT: 15% TPA Honey, 4% FW Licorice, 2% TPA Lemon, 3% TPA Sweetener, 6% Menthol 35% VG and 35% 50mg nic (=18+mg total nic). DH says it smells disgusting, but he hates everything. This kind of reminds me of the "Pluid syndrome" in that I am not a big fan of licorice, but I do like this and the cough drops a lot, but they are getting impossible to find anymore. Oh well, have fun with mixing and don't forget to share your amazing discoveries! Unless, of course, you decide to go into business!

My favorite Valens song is "We Belong Together" .. a simple piece of music, an incredibly moving set of lyrics considering his age when he wrote it .. at a High School prom, a teacher that I was head over heels over at the time, grabbed my hand and pulled me out on the dance floor as the band played "We Belong Together" .. as we made full contact, I had, shall we say, an arousing sensation .. when the song was over, she walked me back to the table, smiled and whispered in my ear, "It's OK, nothing to be embarassed about" .. although we, of course, never had anything else going on, from that point forward, whenever we saw each other, it was with a wink and a smile ..
Love that story. Aw memories. I look forward to see your picks, and they take me back to fond memories. THANKS

Frackin' awesome and congrats! And yes, I do so enjoy my three Grippers.

Three? Now I don't feel silly buying two. If I see them for 35.00 shipped again I'll buy my 3rd one too. lol
I dropped mine onto my hardwood floor for about the third time and it broke open and came apart but I was able to snap everything back together. Thankfully nothing broke.

Just passed another personal milestone. Two years tobacco free today. Hard to believe that. Just got a new V2 Gripper this week to celebrate. I'm lovin this unit.

CONGRATULATIONS Gadd. I'm only a little over a year and still can't believe it. It's like a miracle! Boy do I wish vaping had come along years ago. It's not often we can substitute a bad habit with a good, enjoyable one!

Whoop! Whoop! Congradulations Gadd.

And a V2 Gripper? Is that a recent release or has it been around for awhile? Does the V2 give more accurate Ω readings and output voltage based on it's 'set' voltage. I like my Gripper but don't like I can't trust the display readings. It's like have a VV device w/o a display to me, I just start at 3.3V an slowly move up to find what I like.

I have a black cherry flavor that I want to try, but I want it to taste like wild cherries. I've got a bunch of partial juices here that I should vape up before adding new so I'm holding back on creating more. At least I feel a lot more comfortable mixing some together.

I've gotten some good tips from asking the people at the paint store (as long as it's not some kid who is working part time) Our local Sherwin Williams store will send someone to your house to help with color choices too or ideas and it's free. It worked out well for me since I was doing a few rooms and wanted the colors to work together. Then as I was ready to do the next room I could just go and get the color we'd discussed.

In 1986 this onstage performance by Knopfler (who wrote the song), Chet Atkins and the Everly Brothers brought together some incredible intrumentalists and is just a sublime performance .. the Everlys did a simply outstanding vocal job ..

Chet and Knopfler were close friends for many, many years .. Atkins was a mentor and teacher as well .. hail, hail, the great Chet Atkins

We'll end it today by taking a little side trip into the land of Jake Shimabukuro - playing the wonderful Cindy Lauper tune .. Time After Time .. I had the pleasure to meet this guy a while back at a convention .. he is the master of the ukelele .. most of us struggle to get this kind of talent out of a 6 string guitar .. Jake does it with a 4 string Hawaian ukelele .. the World is so full of talent ..
