And a V2 Gripper? Is that a recent release or has it been around for awhile? Does the V2 give more accurate Ω readings and output voltage based on it's 'set' voltage. I like my Gripper but don't like I can't trust the display readings. It's like have a VV device w/o a display to me, I just start at 3.3V an slowly move up to find what I like.
I referred to V2 to differentiate between this and the non-variable model. I don't know about the accuracy of the read outs, as I am not that much of a "techy" on those things, but the thing that I like most about this unit is the long battery life with the 18650, and the ability to read the ohms on the cartos. I'm like you, in that I find the sweet spot by taste and feel then leave it alone. I have a couple of 14500 VV mods, and they are very good, but I like this much better. I also have a Lava Tube which I like, but it is too bulky to carry around easily. The Gripper just does it all very well, IMO.

Spent the day holding the ladder and being the gopher for my roofer on the side... I can get on the roof of the house we are renovating, but not the one we are living in at this time - too steep for me - anything above 7 - 12 pitch is more than I attempt now adays...

I can hardly stand on a flat roof and look down ..

Very smart move Semi. No point in taking the chance if you don't have to. We don't bounce or heal the way we used to.

    It was on PBS.

I've made a note to myself .. There's a new show on network TV called Nashville .. I tuned in just out of curiosity .. not my cup of tea but they are giving CF Martin some good exposure .. don't know if Martin is paying for product placement ..

Well, this show was about Martin Guitar history. It showed the manufacturing plant and the hand work put into making them and such. The plant that they toured makes about 50,000 guitars a year... If I remember correctly - there are two plants that make Martin Guitars. They showed the difference between a high end and a low end (competing with imported guitars)...

Yeah, that's how Mike is. If you're not comfortable with heights you definitely should shouldn't be up there. Being tense at any height is a recipe for a tumble. :danger: Of course maybe a cape would help...

If you really want to test your skill at heights. Go and walk on a swinging bridge over a gorge. That plus a climb to the top of a water tower is what broke my fear of heights when I was a child. My Father was one of those that if you wanted to learn how to swim - throw em in the water... Same for heights... I walked the bridge and climbed the tower many times over and I can say it did work, but could not do the same to my own son - he is still scared of heights to this day - I have offered, but he has consistently turned down the climb of the tower...

I'm not really afraid of heights .. I just get vertigo when looking down from one story .. it looks like I'm much higher up and the ground starts moving .. yet, flying does not bother me and I've been to the top of the Sears Tower as well as the Empire State and enjoyed it no problems .. weird, I know ..

Not really weird Willie. My daughter went to the top of the empire state bldg and looked out - no problem, but you would never get her on a swinging bridge. As long as what is under her feet is "solid" (including airplanes) then she has no probem... I think a lot of people are like that. I get a little vertigo action myself sometimes and it does not require heights to induce it (LOL)...

    Hey y'all!

I'm over 55 (60 to be exact) and thought maybe this would be a good place to start in this forum. I used to read on another message board and kept seeing a thread pop up that was titled "ecigs." I checked it out and after days of reading about the ecig I decided to take the plunge. That was Jan.9 of this year and I ordered my Joye Ego, I received it on the 11th, along with several juices, and I haven't looked back. The morning of the 11th is when I smoked my last ciggie and I'm ever so grateful! Long gone is the hacking, coughing, wheezing, rattling, etc. No more going outside to smoke when it's freezing cold outside or pouring down rain or blazing hot. No more smelly clothes, hair, etc. I am loving this vaping thing!!

I'm recently divorced, his loss, not mine. I have 2 grown kids, DD - 32 and happily married, DS - 22 and lives with me and has been my rock thru divorce stuff. I love to cook, read, garden, love watching college football and watching a bit more NFL games and love to vape, love it!

I've enjoyed reading this thread this afternoon/evening, but didn't get caught up - not with 900+ pages! Y'all are funny, witty, but most of all such a caring, encouraging group, kudos to you all! I'll go backing to reading now, while I listen/watch Texas A&M kick Auburn's beehinds and babysit the boiled peanuts I have on the stove. Yep, total southerner here, just shy of a redneck, lol.

Anyway, it's nice to be here and I hope I can contribute to the conversation and happy vaping!! :)
