Woohoo, I'm learning to fend for myself while Janet's away. Yesterday I figured out the dish washer and today I mixed my own juice. How cool it was just to mix some up when I realized I was out of RY4 - no panic attack to quickly order from a vendor. Think I'm gonna like this. Got daring tonight and even added a bit of Honey to a tank of juice I've been vapin all day - and that changed it enough - I might have to incorporate it into a future DIY concoction.

I knew you could do it! :)

I'm back everybody! We had a very nice weekend in Stone Harbor, New Jersey which, thankfully, did not sustain much damage from Sandy. The house we stay at is 1-1/2 blocks from the beach and there wasn't even sand in the streets. The dunes have been built up pretty well over the years and they did their job to protect the town. The worst damage came from the bay flooding the center of town. Fortunately they were prepared. The only evidence of that was rolled up carpets on the sidewalk waiting for trash pick up. Businesses were open. The homes on the bay probably flooded, but they're built on pilings which helped a lot. A lot of those docks were damaged, but that's not uncommon for that location. So glad to see at least that town did not suffer like the ones further north. Maybe it was a good thing that Sandy had a bullseye on SH when she came ashore.

I was happy to hear that Mike made his own juice, but when I walked in the house and smelled it I was not pleased. I'd mixed the RY4 juice for him before and it was fine, but adding the honey made it stink!! Who would have thought? So, now we know that the DK Tobacco and the honey are not flavors that can be vaped inside the house. The nice thing about DIY though is if you mix a small amount and you don't like it we can just dump it and not feel like we're tossing something expensive. And at least we're finding out what we don't like. Mike had a honey cured flue juice that I hated and now I'll bet it was the DK and honey that did it.

I'm glad Mike figured out how to turn on the dishwasher, but really, how many dishes can 1 person make dirty in 3 days? I had a dishwasher for 8 years before we had kids and hardly ever used it. In fact, the rubber gasket cracked because it wasn't used. To be fair he was helping to cap the trim on the house and putzed in the garage those days and wonder of wonders, he changed the bed and did some laundry so he's definitely forgiven. How nice to come home and have the house cleaned up!

Deb, glad that you checked in. Hopefully you'll get the computer situation worked out and be back here like you use to.

Char, your cat story was pretty funny. Is it a male cat? My girls ignore catnip and somebody told me male cats like it. I'm glad the cat didn't get any of the juice. Couldn't that have been dangerous for him?

Good songs as usual Willie. The only pallets I remember seeing just looked like junk to me but still it seemed a shame to waste them.

I think I'm caught up on the computer now, but I've just zipped through and it still took awhile. I guess it's time to get back to normal.

Good morning folks! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was packed with football and a couple of movies and vaping, of course.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in SC and I'm here in the kitchen experimenting, - uh oh, lol, sometimes that's not a good thing. I woke up craving chicken pot pie. I've got chicken breasts roasting in the oven, smelling good in here already! I'll make a roux from the chicken drippings and we'll see what goes from there. The verdict will be in when my son comes home from work, poor guy, he never knows what he's coming home to and what will be on his dinner plate. He's survived 22 yrs. of my cooking with only minimal complaints. :p

Happy day and happy vaping!

lol...I saw this...my husband about had a cow when I bought Honey e-liquid...he said it really smelled bad. It's the only thing he has ever complained about.

I bought some honey flavoring with my last order. Guess I will hold off using it until Spring when I can vape outside. :D

My heart feels so heavy. I just visited my grandmother, who's 100 years old. She seems to barely have the strength to breathe. My brother is taking her to the doctor today. So, we'll see.

She's had several close calls over the years. And, every time is scary the older she gets. But, this time, on my way home, I got such a heavy feeling in my heart. I felt like I had just seen someone die.

I felt so bad driving away. I felt like I should stay with her. But, she has plenty of family to help her, and I have my grandkids to take care of.

Hopefully I'm just being overly sensitive or overly dramatic. But, this time I'm scared.

Sorry for the bummer post. I just had to get it off my chest. Otherwise, I might slip and tell my daughter and worry her unnecessarily. She's in Scotland and would feel so helpless. So, I'm telling ya'll instead.

Welcome 'home', Janet!

Good to hear from ya, Deb!

As for the honey odor, at the VapeStock this year, there was an unpleasant 'heavy' aroma hanging in the room. I would now guess it was 'bakky & honey joose!

ETA: DH, I'm so sorry to hear your story. A heavy heart is truly a sad burden. Maybe 'we' (as an on-line family) can take a bit of your burden and lighten your load with your knowledge that 'we' share your heartache. My hopes and prayers out for her, the family and you and yours!

At least your GM has her family with her. That in itself is a huge blessing!

Huge hugs out to you!!!

Thank you, Iffy. I felt really uncomfortable putting that here. But, I just had to tell someone!

She's got plenty of family around. She's basically the head/matriarch of the family. She's been part of raising 4 generations. She helped raise me and my siblings. And, she has great-great-grandchildren that are almost grown now.

So, she could never be alone!

Never feel that way DH. We all do care about one another and share our burdens with one another. I will keep your family in my prayers. I know how you feel. My mother was the heart of our family and she passed away at 92 earlier this year.

Welcome home Janet! I'm glad you had a good time and the town withstood the storm. Mike was a good boy while you were gone.:D

I hope everyone has a great vaping day! I'm having a good visit with my son who is here for a couple of days.

Dancing - this was a perfect place to put your heartache - we're family. I'm so sorry to hear what you're feeling; to see 4 generations of family is such a beautiful blessing, how fortunate your grandmother is. My thoughts & best wishes go out to you & your Grams......

It is always particularly emotionally difficult to deal with these kind of things .. your GM has been gifted with a long and I'm sure good life .. and you have been gifted as well with many years of her being there .. there is no guilt in tending to your own commitments and that's likely what she would want .. our collective thoughts reach out to you and hope that is some comfort ..

The collective thought wave and kismet combine to provide inspirational energy and thus your wish is granted without even asking ..
