Yes, I do agree. Hopefully they're just making a point. Who would pay attention for a $25 fine? It drives me nuts when I hear of people going places and doing things they're warned against. Like skiing off course in an avalanche zone or climbing where the signs clearly say stay off etc.

Well as long as there is a legitimate reason for doing those things like to save a life or if you ran out of joose or something it would be okay tho...... Lol

Believe it or not, here in Wyoming they lower a gate across the interstate highway and other highways, and fine you if you go around because they then would need to send a rescue unit to get you out, if you could call for help or the snow plows would find you latter if they didn't hit you first. I would never go around one of these because you are just asking for trouble. The gates are there to warn you of problems ahead. They don't come down very often, but when they do, you better heed the warning.

Well, I am slowly getting caught up on RL after being gone for 5 days. Amazing how far behind you get in everything in so few days :glare: Thought I would report how my first trip/flight went since I have started vaping.

We only ended up with 2 of us on our girls Vegas trip. Unfortunately for my other friend, her nephew that had been fighting colon cancer for 4 years had taken a big turn for the worse so she cancelled her flight. Sadly he did pass away the morning we were to leave (only 56 yr)

So - I went to check us in for our flights and ran into an Environment Canada weather warning - heavy snowfall for our city. They were predicting up to 8 inches of snow by morning. It had already started east of the city and one town already had 8 inches. So - I panicked and called my friend and she agreed that we should leave for Calgary right away. I called my son and he said we could stay at his place for the night.

So - I still had to pack up all my vaping supplies - and considering this was my first trip since I started vaping - I was not completely sure what and how much to take. I ended up taking approx 30mls of juice, my Mini Vivi Nova, 2 Vivi Novas, T3, MT3, 2 stardusts, a box of blank cartos, spare coil for the T3 and 2 spare coils for the Vivi Novas.

I also took all 3 Ego Twists and my purdy purple spinner. I had my charger and my PCC - which I still had to fully charge - but I had time to do that at my son's house.

Checked with folks at home the next morning and our city did not get any snow :( I guess better safe than sorry - but it would have been nice to have had my evening and the next morning to get ready. I hate having to feel panicked when I get ready for a trip - inevitably I manage to forget something.

No issues or even questions with airport security leaving or returning. I left the batteries in their cases in my carryon bag and had the T3, T2 one Stardust, Vivi Nova and Mini Vivi all about 1/2 full with juice as well as one bottle of ejuice in my 1 quart baggie. I did have a bit of leaking I think from either the T2 or T3 or both - but it was a very small amount. On the way home I just wrapped them individually with a tissue before putting them in the baggie.

I was also a little concerned about customs on the way home - since technically we are not allowed to import liquid with nicotine. Not sure how they look at it when you take it down with you and then return with what you haven't used. However, there is no question about it on the customs declaration and the agent I had returning - didn't even say a word to me. Just looked at my passport - then stamped the form and indicated I was done. I thought for sure I was headed for a secondary search - but nope - all clear

Thankfully I did have everything I needed to vape whewsmiley.gif only forgot all my necklaces and chains. Of course needing a reason to shop for jewelry is not necessarily a bad thing ;)

As I already mentioned in the Older Folks thread - I did actually weaken and smoke a few cigarettes. I think this actually was a good thing - because they really were terrible and helped reaffirm that I am done with them. Given how much I love smoking and wasn't really planning to quit - I guess this could have put me right back smoking. However, I guess since I wasn't planning to quit I would have still been where I planned to be when I originally started down this path.

Also - spending all day and night with a smoker - also made me realize that I can now smell what we all smelled like when smoking - and it is not pleasant. That might have also helped with not really having any desire to continue with the smoking - for sure the last one I had in the smoking lounge at the airport (it is nasty in there) was definitely the last one I see myself smoking. (well unless ejuice is banned and I can't vape).

For the most part - I was comfortable vaping almost everywhere in Vegas. I did actually only see one other person vaping. Did not get a chance to approach him - but for sure it was not a cig-like. Looked from a distance like an eGo, Twist or Spinner with a T2 or T3 on it. Sure wish I would have had time to at least talk to him for a minute.

On Saturday evening my friend and I had just moved to a different area in the casino - one that was hopefully in the path of a cocktail waitress. Since we had come back from the George Strait concert and it was the night before the Superbowl - it was very busy in the casino and we had not seen a cocktail waitress in over an hour. Just after we finally got a drink a security guard came up and started talking to us. I guess having that drink was all I needed - cause I didnt' even think about having my Twist in my hand and was happily vaping away while we talked to him.

So - I don't know if he was bored or if initially he was checking out what I was doing  but he never even asked me about it :) I did have others - usually smokers ask as well as a cocktail waitress and a casino attendant. For the most part - it was to question a) is that one of those electronic things? b) does it actually work for you? c) or to say that they had tried one - but it didn't work for them. I did ask what they had tried and usually it was the mystic, blu or enjoy. So I would just tell them how I too had tried a cig like to start with - then moved onto the Twist or Spinner I had in my hand and that it worked so much better. So - you never know - maybe they will try again

Ok - this is now getting long - I guess I missed chatting with all of you. Sorry for the book. On other vaping news - I did a little DIY earlier tonight. I took 4 different clearomizers that all had something in them that I was not liking or tasting and dumped them altogether. Figured if I am not tasting well or liking what I am tasting - then they might as well all be in one device. Not great stuff - but no worse than what they were tasting like before.

Then I tried the premixed cranberry that I had not tried yet - getting a little hint of flavor - but not very strong. So I added a 1/3 of a premixed Green Apple and a drop of sweetener and still not a really strong flavor, but I think this will be really good when/if I can ever taste juices again.

I also mixed up 5mls of TPA Peppermint at 12%, 2% Koolada and 2% sweetner at 40PG/60VG and 12% nic. Not sure how long to wait before I try it. When I leave it sit for 10/15 minutes it does start getting clear. However, every time I shake it up it gets little tiny bubbles that give it a kind of cloudy appearance. So I am not sure if this is normal ? do I wait until it stays clear even when I shake it or can I try it with the bubbles?
Anyway - just happy to be back home and vaping with no thoughts of having another cigarette. I hope those that were getting snowed on are all safe and warm freezing.jpg

Ok - I will probably have to blame this on the bottle of wine - but I forgot to mention that in the vape mail I had waiting for me when I arrived home - I had ordered two new atomizers. So - I brought out the 306 LR atomizer and tried vaping a couple of juices that I got way back when I first started - and didn't like. One a Vanilla tobacco and the other a Rum Tobacco.

So - it might just be the wine - but hey with all the wine I was drinking in Vegas - all of my vaping tasted pretty good  so I figured I would actually try dripping these juices tonight. Well - not bad :) not bad at all :) this dripping thing might just work

I have a habit of saving the little plastic bags/bubble wrap that comes in the packages I receive with my vaping stuff. I was just storing my nic liquid in the freezer and that bubble wrap came in handy to protect the glass bottles.

Usually I get enough bubble wrap in my orders to be able to wrap the bottles for the freezer. If you run short you could always use a sock. I'd read that it's what Kurt uses. I just keep in mind cold and dark and protect from breakage. We should be set for a good long time.

I have about 2000mls of 48mg. I know I will order a bit more if I hear about a sale. Got my gallon each of pg/vg last week and should be receiving my 50%off flavorings soon. Now that I am getting my sister into DIY we are sharing the costs and it works out well for both of us.

Thank you Fran. Youngest sister is now smoke free and loving it. I need to call my older sister today and see how she is doing. I haven't heard from her in a couple of days but I know she was so excited. Don't want to push her but she is terrible about answering e-mails. I want to talk to her about getting into mixing her own juice but don't want to overwhelm her with to much info right now. I do want her prepared for what may come though.

How much snow did y'all end up with?

10:00 A.M. here in Casper. Just a few snow flakes coming down, the forecast is snow tonight and tomorrow 6 to 12 inchs. My snow blower has been uncovered and setting facing the garage door this whole winter. Maybe I will get to fire it up, we realty need the moisture as it has only snowed and inch or two maybe 2 times all winter. One thing I have learned from many years of snow is, That I wait until it stops before in clean it up. I don't like to do it twice. Same with fall leaves, I wait until most of the leaves are off the tree before I rake. guess I am a little on the lazy side.LOL

Well good for you and luck to your sister. Hubby was just out plowing the yard and pushing an enormous pile of snow in front of him. It's hard to tell with all the drifting but I'd guess at 18-20 inches.

Sound about the same as our Christmas day snow storm. Sure was pretty but oh my, what a mess it was for a while.
