10:00 A.M. here in Casper. Just a few snow flakes coming down, the forecast is snow tonight and tomorrow 6 to 12 inchs. My snow blower has been uncovered and setting facing the garage door this whole winter. Maybe I will get to fire it up, we realty need the moisture as it has only snowed and inch or two maybe 2 times all winter. One thing I have learned from many years of snow is, That I wait until it stops before in clean it up. I don't like to do it twice. Same with fall leaves, I wait until most of the leaves are off the tree before I rake. guess I am a little on the lazy side.LOL

Not lazy Joe, just being conservative. I am the same way with leaves. Our Oak trees don't like letting go of their leaves. It takes new growth to get the last of them off so I usually wait 'til early spring before I rake and burn.

I have 3500ml of nic. I may grab some more.

I'm now sitting on 6000ml .. and preparing for my first attempt at DIY .. I have the PG / VG deal from essentialdepot on the way .. I got my glass mixing flasks from Amazon a few days ago .. picked up a couple of oral syringes / got the flavoring / blue glass dropper bottles / removable labels .. if anyone sees that I need anything else, please chime in ..

We'll see .. my table is beginning to look like a lab experiment ..

I would suggest a label maker. I have a very simple one that works great. It's a Brother P-touch. Other than that lots of flavors.

Willie, if you weren't such an artist you wouldn't be so stressed. This may sound really strange (not surprising coming from me) but I do believe "things" have lives of their own, having their own story to tell. Ever notice how quickly an empty house falls apart? It immediately looks so sad. I think instruments are like that. So much emotion is put into their creation and then the connection it's owner has with it. It's very sad to see one broken and not just from a business point of view. You can explain the difficulties of trying to fix it, but don't beat yourself up - you didn't break it in the first place.

Of course you could always just sit back, relax with whatever makes you mellow and cogitate on the really cool aspects of it's life! :2cool:

Janet .. that was such a nice post it made my day .. honestly .. :)

I was not going to finish my story on this because I'm likely boring everyone, but now I'm going to ..

My customer .. a young lady in her 20's .. inherited this guitar from her Grand Dad a few years ago .. he stipulated that it stay in the family and not be auctioned off or put in a case on the wall or sold to a collector but instead be played and enjoyed as it had been since 1956 .. Grand Dad was a working guitarist and traveled extensively in his time and this was his main instrument .. so it does have a heavy Mojo / much blood sweat and tears / and a Spirit living in it (OK, yes, that sounds corny, but if you are a musician, you'll understand) ..

At any rate, she is in a Band, uses the instrument and dropped it at a gig in a bar in New Orleans .. and remains quite upset about the whole thing .. and this is where I enter into the picture as I outlined the problem on my previous posts ..

Combine an attractive young woman + a broken family heirloom + me

We came to a solution yesterday that maintains the integrity of the guitar and essentially fulfills her wish to keep it as original as possible .. serial number and all .. I won't go into the woodworking details, however, it will cost her substantially more for the craft work than a simple repair (which was really impossible) but less that replacing the entire neck with a same 1956 model ..

I have about 2000mls of 48mg. I know I will order a bit more if I hear about a sale. Got my gallon each of pg/vg last week and should be receiving my 50%off flavorings soon. Now that I am getting my sister into DIY we are sharing the costs and it works out well for both of us.

I've got 3000k of 60 nic (gotta check, maybe it's 4k now) in the freezer so I think we're good. I'm down to about 10 nic strength and vape 0 at night so that should stretch it even further. Mike was consistantly at 18 but dropped to 12 on days he's vaping like crazy, like when he's fooling with attys and testing. I have a couple friends who are attempting vaping and they're not thrilled with what they've bought. So, I gave them some of mine and they really like it. So now I'm trying to get them to do their own, but you're right, don't want to overwhelm them. That's so great your sister shares the cost of DIY. I'm so happy to hear that they're vaping now. And it'll give you something new to talk about and even share recipes! Who ever thought we'd be sharing this kind of recipe??

So glad to hear you were able to work it out with your customer and she's understanding. Although it's going to be expensive at least she'll know it can be fixed and as near to original as possible. It's be another chapter in the story of it's life and now you're a part of it!

    Small World .. I have a P-Touch as well .. :)

I bought these removable white labels off Amazon that I thought would be easier and quicker .. I'm fairly good at handwriting and I draw as well, so I figured I'd custom decorate each label when I finally made something worth puffing ..

The plan : When I get the PG / VG .. I will use the mixtures that I have run across on ECF and other sites that seem like something I'd like and ammend as I think needed as I go .. each of the 12 bottles will have it's notes rubber banded to it and allowed to steep for a couple weeks at least .. I will then sample each by drip method as I sip a nice bottle of wine or some good bourbon .. I will then pass or fail each bottle and make any additions I feel needed, adding that info to the notes .. once a group of at least 4 different mixes passes, it will be added to the permanent notebook record ..

    rinse and repeat ..

I forgot to add earlier that I also have the lemon juice / white vinegar / ethyl malto that others suggested .. I'm beginning to feel like a Mad Scientist ..

I also bought a box of 100 1ml syringes from Amazon and long blunt needles(great for reaching into flavor bottles).

I got the 20cc syringe and love it. Very handy since most of my all day vape mixes are 30 ml. Oh, and for those getting started, you'll need some fattest needles for the syringes because VG especially is very thick.

Good point Fran. We have one of those P-touch label makers too, but it's an older model. Works great because the labels don't pop off. The only problem is getting the backing off the label. We use an exacto knife to get a corner started. If you know an easier way I'm all ears because sometimes doing it this way is a pain.

    Our half plowed front yard

Wow, that's a lot to plow. I grew up shoveling a common driveway that branched off to our own driveway. Our last house sat way back off the road so we had a truck come in to plow. This house has a 3 car garage and a downhill driveway to match so we bought a John Deere blower because once they opened up the cul de sac to new houses we became a corner property so the sidewalks have to be cleared. That's when I put my foot down and said no way am I shoveling 2 sides of a 3 acre property! Nobody uses the sidewalks anyway.

I too have a p-touch 1800. The backing on the labels I bought for it have a seam down the middle. Just bend slightly and peal. I struggled with the first label I made trying to remove the backing from a corner. Felt kinda foolish when I discovered the seam.
