Yiddle. I have seen small (1 - 1.5 cubic ft) freezers made to sit on counter tops. I have even seen them with locks to prevent children access. It would hold about anything you could ever want and more if you wanted... I have also seen refrigerators that small, but no locks (the freezer would probably hold 4 60ml bottles).

Thanks Semi.........maybe I could try that. My biggest problem would be in storing it in the freezer............daughter will have a conniption fit. I'm just thankful that they allow me to vape in my room. I can really relate to what Old Hippy was talking about a short while back.....it's hard at our age to be treated like a child with more rules and restrictions than I ever placed on my children. Circumstances are just what they are and I have to deal with it as best I can. Not looking for sympathy here.....just stating facts.

If you bought small amounts of nic that would be mixed fairly quickly keeping it in a fairly cool place would work.

I didn't realize at first that unflavored nic juice was best stored in fridge or freezer. I kept my first purchases of it in a cabinet. Took what I needed out of the bottle and put it back in the cabinet. It took me a year to use all of that stuff. It was just as clear and good when I finished it as it was when I bought it. If you wanted to buy 250 mls at a time I would think you could just keep it in your room stored somewhere out of direct light.

I know you say you cannot DIY where you live, but what if you bought 24mg nic (MFS sells it at that level and it is a fairly safe level) and then you cut it in half and mix in your flavors. You would have about 10 - 11mg nic when you were finished. You could buy a 60ml bottle and once you added your PG/VG and flavors you would have about 140 - 150ml when you were finished (5 - 30ml bottles).

I buy the 24mg nic from MFS. I am afraid of high concentration of nic. I've been vaping premixed at 9mg, but think I could go lower with no problem.

Awwwww........ thank you !!! I've been thinking about ordering my juice with the highest nic they mix and if the worst case happens and they still make the same flavore in zero nic I could simply cut it that way.............dunno......just trying to work it out

You got me thinking. We've looked into storing nic in the freezer, but what about storing juices? Can they be frozen as well? Would the PG/VG preserve them? I'd have to buy another freezer to freeze some juices, but wouldn't that be convenient?

I have my bottles of nic liquid wrapped in bubble wrap and then foil to make sure they stay in the dark.

"Ditto" on this plus putting it in an either cobolt or amber glass bottle would help. It doesn't loose its' potency nearly as fast as some people believe & the difference between refrig & freezer is really minimal.

Whoa. Wouldn't that be just so cool to have a designated freezer for juice!! Actually I do want a bigger one than that though. I've got at least 3000 ml in 120 ml bottles. It's taking up a whole shelf in my side by side freezer. Our garage refrigerator died and I don't want to replace it at least until we figure out where we're moving to. Maybe then I'll look into a scratch and dent refrig for the garage and designate that freezer for juice.

Janet...love the pic, toooo cute! One of the juice vendors I've purchased from states on his bottles "keep in fridge" so I assume the fridge is good enuf.

I think I read that Kurt kept his in a cooler in his "cold room". Just so it's in a cool, dark place. Doesn't sound like it has to be a freezer although I'd think that would extend the storage life even longer. If you have children around I can see why there might be a concern. Don't worry about it though, we'll figure out something. By-the-way, what are you vaping these days?

If you read the posts by Kurt and Dvap (chemists) I'm not sure freezing is even required although it would help. Of course cold that's minus a bunch of degrees is helpful too because home freezers won't freeze it solid. Glass is preferred so there is no danger of plastic leeching into the liquid. Kurt put his in the cooler in his "cold room" and put the bottles in a sock to keep the light out so it doesn't sound like the blue and amber glass is even necessary. You'd want a really clean bottle though. Aluminum foil would probably work pretty well to keep the light out.

Yiddle, do not let lifes circumstance dictate your private life. We, you and I and probably others here, sort of have to allow someone to act and think like they control us, but within ourselves, we still can do /think what we want. I do NOT want anyone to feel sorry for me- I am a survivor. Yes, inside I do resent being told what I am allowed to do- But, as long as I know I am not hurting anyone or breaking any real laws, I WILL find a way to do and be what me, myself and I, want. Yes, facts are facts, but, where there is a will, there is a way.

And as far as freezing nic, I am vaping almost 3 year old nic, tastes the same as when I bought it, and I keep it next to the wall behind my sewing chair wrapped in a towel. If I had to hide it out in the woods, buried in a coffee can, I would do that too. ( but don't have to go that far yet-LOL )

Hip...I LOVE your attitude & spunk - RIGHT ON! I know that nic, like many other things, looses a smidgen of potency over time. But, my goodness, where were the expiration dates on everything years ago? Personally I feel it's a gov & big business thing to have people tossing & buying new. I'm using canned veggies that have expiration dates from 07 & 08 & I'm still here. Yes...I believe in stocking up!

There was a smart man on ECF ( might have been Dvap) anyway, he was one who knew how to test nic etc--anyway, he did a test as to whether nic lost value etc, by putting a bottle of it on the dashboard of his car-in the hot sun all day at work etc, for weeks, then tested it and it was as good as the day he started the test. I read this a year or two ago somewhere on ECF. And I have about 60 or more bottles of made up juice , some of which is almost 3 years old and it is still good.
Honestly, I think we are all worrying too much. The only thing I had any problem with was Koolada that separated after a year. Yes, I do have a bunch of this stuff stored in the frig and the freezer, but have a whole lot stored in boxes under my sewing chair-in my desk drawers- clothes dresser-footstool etc.
Mind you, if there are any leftovers ( food) in the frig for more than 3 days, I throw it out, so I am careful about anything that could go bad.

Wow- Janet, you beat me to this-LOL !! I thought it was Dvap who did the nic testing on the dashboard thing, but was,nt 100% sure.
And Dvap was the one who got us the WTA formula and I trust his chemistry knowledge.

I too loved your post Hippy. Definitely a great way to deal with what life throws you. As for expirations dates - I usually look at them as a "best before" date and if things look/smell or taste fine then I don't believe in wasting them - just because they are past what might be the optimal best date. Definitiely a great way to think - if there is a will, there is a way and we will all find a way to vape on

I have a box of used bottles, from various vendors I've saved .. so, I figured when I get down to the DIY I would boil them and reuse .. but, like you, I keep wondering how I'll keep the tops and the lids straight unless I boil them one at a time .. which seems kinda stupid ..

I also use the tape over the label deal on the store bought stuff to keep the info from disappearing ..

old fashioned recyler here-but I reuse almost all my bottles. -wash them out with dish soap and hot water-then bleach them , air them out good and then spend TIME finding and replacing all the tops to fit each of them. Keep the cleaned bottles with their own lids in shoe boxes afterwords.
When I want to make more juice, they are ready to go. Refuse to buy new when I can recyle things-LOL !!

Thanks for the info, Old Hippy. I keep a lot of things in the fridge/freezer...just makes me feel better, I guess.
