I spent about a year on this thread alone .. did not post elsewhere .. in the last week or two, I dove back in to the mix .. things have not changed .. it's odd to me how a group of folks that share the same thing can be so intollerant of others that may not fully agree with things like ..

1) Standards in the Industry
2) Health and the PV
3) Public use of the PV

and the usual great selection of conspiracy theories, dissing this and that, coverups, The Man, etc, etc, etc .. I'm about ready to just crawl on home and live here permanently .. if you'll have me, that is .. ;)

Uncle Willy, this is your home, you belong here with the rest of your family. We may not always see eye to eye on everything, but we sure are tolerant and accepting anyway.

Hey Willie - you want drama - you should see what's going on in a co-op I paid money into for a couple rba's. The co-op organizer used over $20,000 of co-op money for personal use. The atty's are almost complete but the machinist won't release them until he gets paid - can't blame him at all. About 175 counts of fraud/theft/etc are being filed with the police in the jurisdiction. Yikes! All I wanted were a couple real nice, easy on the pocketbook RBAs.

Oh yea - ECF mods are fully co-operating and most likely will change co-op rules. No more co-ops for custom 'stuff', only pre-made or off the shelf goods looks like the future of co-ops after this fiasco.

I hear you Willie. People are going to believe what they're going to believe and there's not much you can do to change that, especially on an internet thread. I just accept that and zip on past the ones I don't agree with. Actually, I'm kind of glad there are so many different opinions, makes us who we are. Life would be so boring if we all agreed.

PS - Forgo to thank you for the great songs Willie!

I'm 60 and float around ecf a lot to learn all the good stuff and yeah maybe a little gossip, lots of laughs, take frequent vaping breaks, and procrastinate on a lot of things or the fact I got a lot done and didn't have time to vape. With Spring coming I'm looking forward to a lot of extra chores I'm not exactly excited about at the moment (stretch/yawn) but when it starts rolling I am glad! It's crazy how when I was young I wished I could slow down relax get some quality down time but I had trouble sitting still. Now I I have trouble getting going. The good news is that once I do get going I'm good for it. I can be as busy as I want to be. I've set myself up with plenty to keep me busy. I just got a bunch of flavors from Natures Flavors co op which has been fun fun. I also started snus and snuff because I can't afford WTA premades now and that's good because I always like doing my own thing better but premades taught me a lot. I did a equall parts of strawberry, blackberry, Bavarian cream and about half of said parts in coconut and 1/4 of malty and got one I can't stop vaping in order to taste it. It's good the way it is but i might simply make it a little stronger in the flavors but will wait the two week steep. The other one was easy. 7% Chai with 70/30 pg VG. Way better than the two premade Chais I bought from different vendors. This has me believing that saving money is also going to get me some great vapes. Finally I'm glad visited here because I read about some 20K rip off re co op and didn't know what the deal was. Rba. Drag. I did my first using a wick and coil premade to 3.00 ohms. I simply installed it. Great way to get my feet wet because it worked and pushing, stretching and pulling on the coil proved less delicate than I imagined and it came up measuring 3.00. So I thank the guy that made that one. Installs some confidence and rba vaping delivers more nic than the other stuff. I made myself nauseated learning that. Hope to follow this thread by subscribing and see what I get out of it and can offer to it.

Welcome aboard Faylool. Nice to have you join in. This is the place to mix vapin' and non-vapin' talk, we do it all here. We've got another thread too where we stick to vapin' chat because it's in the general forum and the mods don't like idle chatter in that forum. But anything game here.

here's a link to the other thread.

Yes. I understand. I just enjoy the company of like minded people who I can relate to and vape at the same time. Much more entertaining than anything TV has to offer! Thank you

Yepper - this was more fun than veggin' on the TV. An unoxidized 500 ss mesh wick (just washed it with soap and water and gave it a good rinse), then wrapped the coil, and pulsed the Provari 'till the coil glowed nice and even from top to bottom. OK - a little tweaking the coil to get it all nice and even.

Oh - and before that, I took a spring from a ballpoint pen and some 3mm washers and made a spring loaded connection for the pos terminal - no more turning that tiny little top screw and messing up the last coil wrap. Just pull the wire between the 2 top washers.

UW - I am sure that you will always be welcome here. I know that I feel so much more comfortable posting on this thread and the other Older Folks. Most of the time I just read and keep going. Your post made me think of Yiddles signature - I don't post because I would have to bite my tonge until it bled to keep from speaking my mind

Welcome Faylool - this is a great bunch and has been very helpful for me as a newbie. I am having another one of my not much taste days - seems like I get them every so often. I will really be happy when and if my taste buds ever get over my 46 years of smoking. So I had two DIY mixes that seemed pretty tasteless - even after 2 or more weeks steeping. So, I decided to mix the blueberry and pear with a premix blueberry mintylishes (that also doesn't seem to have much flavor) added in an equal amount of a mint candy that is too strong at 18mg along with an equal amount of the DIY Peppermint that I have really been liking.

Not sure how it would taste if my tastebuds were actually working today - but I am at least getting some flavor from it and using up some juice that I don't want to vape by itself. I even tried washing out (and drying) a new coil in my Vivi Nova and loaded it up with the Green Apple that I was loving a month ago - just not getting any flavor today. Oh well maybe tomorrow the old taste buds will be back :glare:

Oh Mike - that does not sound like much fun. I did read thru a thread about a number of people that had bought something called a JBox that they never got. Really is so sad that people will take money and then not deliver what they promised. Sorry to hear that you paid money into something that went so bad :(

The ball point pen spring thing is truely innovative and the first I've seen of such an idea. Aren't you clever! It would take a half hour to get the thing on there I'm sure. I just have to practice a lot to get any good at anything. Nothing ever seems to come easy to me. I've always wondered about that. It's fun to be able to understand the beauty of these coil and wick pictures now though and that is a beauty from what I can tell

I've been vaping since July sometime 2012 I chewed Nicorette day and nite for 10 years and before that I had stopped smoking a half dozen times since my early 20s. I have mostly not smoked. But when I quit chewing Nicorette for three months trying to save $ once I just did it at the wrong time I guess and my anxiety was profound. My BF offered to buy it for me then I tried vaping to save money....of course my credit cards are maxed again but I will break even in about a year or year and a half. Itll be a real entertaining time eventually when I make the effort to read this thread from the beginning. Always learn something about people

Welcome Faylool to our little world. Nice of you to drop by. How long have you been vaping?
Yea, I use higher nic juice in mine too. I carry a needle tipped bottle to top off the tank. For me it just works better than carrying prefilled tanks with the caps on them. I normally vape 12-18mg in my RBAs but for this I use 40mg juice. Sounds high but I vape it a lot less frequently and go through a lot less juice per day when using it. It is nice having my hands free much more of the time vaping like this.
Ain't that the truth about the TV. Now that we have a gazillion channels I find that there's really not much worth watching!

I can't take credit for that. Credit goes to someone else here on ECF. And yep it was 'bout a 1/2hr just getting it together. Darn (or stronger) these AGA atty's have some small parts. I kept expecting it to all go flying this way and that 'till I got it secured.

It's seems to be the sinus's not the taste buds and maybe antihistimine alone, no decongestant or long steamy shower or like ya say, wait it out. I can understand the peppermint because when a tasteless day or dys happen to me I can't stand the taste I do get. Not strong just disturbing. Yeah or and I do this for dry mouth too, suck a peppermint or candy when you vape to get through that. I am loving DIY. Instant gratification usually. You know. Hmmm I wonder what blah lah would taste like? And go to the cupboard and put it together. I'm still not writing anything down. I just start mixing at 5 or 10 percent based on smelling the flavor and wing it. It's a learning thing. I may write it down later but that isn't how I usually do things and according to the best DIYers I'm not going to be successful....so I'm definitely open to the idea but time will yell.

Howdy all and welcome to the new folks. I spent the weekend at home and it was great to kick back in my easy chair.:) I'm back in Seattle now to resume my treatment. Everything has gone pretty well so far and I can still eat but nothing tastes good except ice cream so I've been taking advantage of that.:D I've lost about 12 lbs so far and normally I would be happy about that but they don't want me to lose any. I enjoy reading the thread everyday even though I don't feel like posting very often. Thanks again to all of you for just being you! You are all great folks to know and I'm very happy to have you as friends!:toast:
