Hi everyone. Thought I would jump into the middle of this and introduce myself. I am 60 and smoked for 45 years. I had coughing down to an art (morning, noon & night), chest pain(lungs), and no energy. Since I started vaping 3/1/12 I have quit coughing, sense of smell and taste are coming back, and I feel 10 years younger. vape On!!!:toast:

I have some time now and a decent internet connection, and everyone is off eating ham and chocolate bunnies. The story of my life - when I finally get "here", everyone else is "there". :)

Daisygirlie, if we served alcohol in this thread, I would have to ask you for ID. (You and that Sandybeach character) I'm just joking. You are a pretty woman. And I mean no offense, please believe me. But when does Audrey come back? I'm a pest with avatars. (Just ask rave).

Good for you RichardV and congratulations. Your story sounds very familar to this group. I'm 2 1/2 years of being cigarette free after 50+ years of smoking too. Welcome to our group!:2cool:

I feel the same way all the time Blues - I come in - gone maybe one or two hours and I see 5 new pages, but everyone is gone - I post a bit and then everyone comes back - as soon as I am gone. I think it is a conspiracy... "Oh Oh - Semi's online - Hide"... :2cool:

RichardV, another from GA. We have a few of those in here. You are more than welcome here. As Tex mentioned, our stories seem to have a common thread. You are coast side, is that correct?

Keep on vaping.

Yeah - another Ga vaper. I did not notice that the first time. Brunswick is close to where we are going next week (St. Mary's / Kingsland). I hope the weather holds out...

Yea, I felt the same with the Cowboy and the 555 - to close to a real smoke for me...

I like the RY4 even though I do not taste the same thing ya'll do, but the 555 and the Cowboy would make okay sample vapes - everytime I order carts - it will always be the sampler packs so I get the variety and other flavors once in a while, but not permanent vapes - my DIY is still my way to go.

Currently I have enough (with my last order) to last me for 8mths - 1yr unless I have failures. I want to try these clearomizer/tanks and after I get a couple of reviews from more people I want to try the phoenix or something along that line for my 510 hardware..., but I am set for a while beyond that.

I am when I have the chance going to take a whack at building a box mod with my wood shop. And I want to play with a few more things. I know I do not need a VV. That I am sure, but if I could find a mod that was with a 3.5v - 3.7v with 14500 batts I would be happy...

Here is one that might interst you. It comes with a cup for 18650 and 18500 and has switchable voltage all on sale through tomorrow for 29.00. XL3 18650 Battery Variable Voltage - Black - with full and Mini Tube

You can really get a complex in here if you're not careful. Know what I mean? "Oh, he's in there right now. I guess I'll just watch television until he's gone." "Is he gone yet?" "Now?"

Tex - that is close to what I have already (Joye 18650) - except for the VV part. I really like the Provape 1, but do not want to spend that kind of money just for a PV. It might be worth it, but not to me... I want a single 14500 batt mod or something in that range and I would like it to be regulated at a singular voltage 3.5v - 3.7v or something in that range... The 18650 I have is just to big to take out and about. I want pocket size and solid - the Joye is solid, but 3.3v - I want a little more and smaller.

I'm thinking you need to get that wood shop going, Semi. And build two. I'll be your first customer order.

It is kind of funny that you mentioned it Blues. I designed mine (on paper) about 4 months ago - no time to try it yet. I need to learn about control chips because I want it regulated at 3.5v - maybe 3.6v and I want it to use a 14500 batt. The funny thing is that when I did the design - they were not on the market yet (I have no intention of going into business with this), but then the Burl comes out - it is almost identical to what I had thought of. I do not want anyone to think I copied it. I just did not like square, but my design was not truly round either - square, but with round edges almost to the extent of being round. I want some feel to it instead of a box and not exactly round either. I want the control head to be replaceable since that will be the one failure point. I would like more than one control head - you change it to the type fitting you need - 510, 808, etc. or anything in the future. I want internal sleeves, etc. - my wants are to much for me to take the time to start it right now - to many other higher priority projects - some day - some day... And if I ever do make one - you can be one of my test subjects (hahaha)... I have a few other test subjects in mind also, but I will not be taking orders - it will only be a hobby...

Oh Tex, I was looking at the Kuwako when I was placing my orders last night and my wife was looking over my shoulder and so - "I do not think so" - she does not want me using something that looks like a pipe. She thinks that it will make me look "old" - what does she think I am (Young?) - LOL...

Did she see my pic with the Kuwako? Tell her I look old without it and it ain't the pipe. lol:2cool:
