I haven't seen a 14500 that is regulated or has the switchable voltage. The switchable one like I posted will hold your voltage within .2 v. It has four different ranges 3.0-3.2 3.5-3.7 3.8-4.0. The mini cup that takes the 18500 is fairly small but fatter than the 14500.
If I run across a 14500 I'll let you know.

Everything that comes out now is based on bigger is better.

I am sorry - my explanation was not good enough - I am not looking for switchable voltage - that is just a range that I want it to vape at.

I want a singular controlled voltage in the ball park of 3.5v - up to 3.7v. no variance. I have found the 3.3v with the Joye is a little low, but the Volt has shown me that 3.6 is good, but I want interchangeable batts (easy to carry around). If I could find a 3.6v regulated PV I think that would be perfect for me, but something that was regulated at one of these levels would be just fine. I just do not want to go over 3.7v... More volts means more juice - why do I want to use up more juice...

And how long have you been married Blues. I do not get to choose my wife's vocabulary... LOL

36 years. Did I just say that without hesitation? Yeah, I get your drift, Semi. As it is, I've never chosen Bluesgirl's anything. I am a very obedient husband. I will point out here that the word obedient is derived from the word "obey".

Tex, just to add. With my introduction to the Volt I discovered how much changing volts changes the taste of the juice. I spent a lot of time getting my DIY the way I wanted to with the Joye - now I have to change up my formulas for the Volt, but I like the higher voltage. Warmer I guess...

Since you have so many types of PV's - does the higher volts allow raising or lowering the amount of flavor you need in a mix to get the best for the taste buds? It seems you would need less by theory, but I am not sure...

I agree, Semi. I like the 3.7v vaping. Yes, the Volt is 3.6 regulated, but -0.1v is not noticeable. The Volt X2 batteries are long. Correction. The 1300 X2 battery is long. Not what you would describe as portable or pocket-sized. Although you can take it with you, it's not what you're looking for. I don't know about the other X2 sizes. I think she put a pic over there somewhere.

I like my 18650. But it is not regulated and you need a cart or strong back to carry it around. I don't have either.

Welcome to the thread PurpleParallel! I'm outing you so you can't just hide in the group ;) Told you in my reply in the group genealogy thread that I'm a

Everyone say hi! Btw Purple - I love your avatar!

daisy :)

Thanks for the welcome! I'm kitty sittin' my cousin's cats this week, so everything I've done lately, I've had cats on the brain. Took the much larger version of this grumpy kitty as a fun change to my fb profile pic; figured it would do nicely here as well.

I haven't been vaping long. Quit smoking several times over the last 45 years. Trouble was, I just flat enjoyed smoking, so it made it hard to give it up for long. I'd quit because I knew I should (and once when I had pneumonia), but not because I just hated cigarettes and everything about them. I'm really loving vaping, though! Haven't totally gotten off analogs, but wow (!!), have I cut down on 'em.

I'm still trying to figure out just what I like and don't like. Like Bluesman, I lean toward KISS. That may change at some point, but right now, it's complicated enough just trying to figure out what flavors I want to try and keeping up with all the bits of paraphernalia I've accumulated ... even while trying to keep it simple! LOL A PT and plug in for the car, a PT and plug in for my desk (no, I don't plug it in to my puter. No chance I'm risking this thing just to power a PT), batts and chargers, and flavors and how many of this and that etc etc etc.

Oddly, I thought I'd really like coffee flavors, but so far ... no so much. I'm working up my nerve to try some of the sweeter things. Not banana. I don't like bananas by themselves or in anything, actually. I got a sample of tequila flavor that sort of intrigues me, though! :) To tell the truth, so far my favorite flavor is Nuport. I didn't order it; V4L sent it to me as a sample. I never smoked a Nuport cig ever; didn't smoke menthols either. But I really like the flavor in the vape. I also liked the Dunhall they sent.

Anyway, I was delighted to find so many other vapers who aren't spring chickens anymore! My stars and bars ... what a long thread! I finally gave up and started skipping pages. LOL I'm sure I'll be hanging out here on a regular basis. You seem like a really great group of folks!

Now I like my 18650, but 3.3v is a little lacking and it is to big to take out - you should of seen my wife's eyes the first time she saw it.

I bought two 650mah Volts - 1300 was to big, but eventually I want an interchangeable 14500 - even if I have to build it myself. If I could find one with the features I want - I would be one happy camper and my dreams of building a perfect PV would take a backseat of the 150 passenger bus (LOL)... I have seen a couple - obvious junk - do not want junk - something in the middle...

Well, it is coming up on my bedtime. 11pm. Gotta get up at 5:30 tomorrow - So I say to all - Good Night...

Oh and Tex - I might still sneak a Kuwako when she is not looking (LOL)...

Hey, Purple. One last post and I'm outta here.

You want coffee vape? Boy did you come to the right spot. There is alot in this thread somewhere on extracting your own coffee flavoring. There are some real pros in here. I did it once without blowing anything up or injuring myself - so anyone should be able to do it. I am not an example of good DIY skills. But these people are.

Welcome to you. Please stick around.

It does change with the voltage but I normally can't detect .2 voltage change. The only time it bothers me is at the higher voltages burning the juice. I'm not a real connoisseur of flavors though. I'm sure some could detect the slightest change. Unless you have a variable wattage device or know the resistance of every carto and set the voltage accordingly you are going to get some variable. My kick should be here in a couple of days and it does control the wattage no matter what the voltage of the batt or res of carto you get the same hit. I will be using it with my Indulgence LG Redwood.

If those 650 X2's are auto they would work real good with a Kuwako. I have one coming in the mail so I will post a pic in a couple of days. The good thing about the Kuwako is they only cost 14.00.:2cool:

You can read that - wow - I need to get my bifocals checked...

Yeah - just got my bifocal scrip upped in January - I feel ya! Next is...gulp...trifocals - and I'm not even 40 yet!

Wow anyone watching the Masters? What an exciting match!:2cool:

I usually compare golf on TV to pain drying or flies being naughty, lol!

Sandy, I am not good at religion. All religions. So please, folks, don't take offense or defense. Please, folks. Would you explain seder to me? I mean, what it is and its purpose. I am not being a jerk here. I am not familiar with that term and I am truly interested.

Bluesman!
As we say about most Jewish holidays: "They tried to kill us. We won. Let's
eat."

Fabulous explanation Sandy!

Rave, you are many things to me, but you are not a "I vape to save money" kind of person to me. This, by the way, is true of others in this fine group of individuals. And I find it an admirable quality.

I decided to vape to save money, but so far, erm yeah...not! Probably spent 40-50 more each month (so like 110-120) in march and already in april! At least now I'm set up, and I don't plan on changing anything drastic so I can go with cheapie joye510 stuff up to a tank if I want (I'd just have to get the tank atty and some cheapo tanks. And other than trying to convince Don to let me buy a 60 ml bottle of Malty Toffee. The limit is two bottles up to 30 ml each, or one 60 - but I could only afford the 15 ml when I ordered so I'm hoping...I think I've mentioned the stuff enough (I'm actually Jonesing for it) that he might let me. Then I have to get Colin to let me spend another $35 (I can do that ;) )

We have 7 cats inside and we have an outside kitty with only one eye and a broken canine that we take care of that's an outside kitty - we named him Scooter. We also have food out and a bird bath so we get Larry (black kitty), Boo-Boo (cause his hair is always patchy and he rasps), and the newest is Arabella who we think is lost so we'll be putting up ads and notices about her. She's a long haired tortie with a *very* identifiable orange right from paw, so if someone calls about her (we think it's a her) then we can ask for identifying marks, etc. So we feed between 8-11 regularly with a few visits from some local indoor/outdoor neighbor cats.

I'm 10 weeks today (well Sunday) - technically I guess it's now 10 weeks and a day, lol! Isn't it great? As soon as you find your "it" flavor - you'll ditch the analogs for good. There's one for everyone - just have to find it. For me it was a peppermint menthol and black licorice!

I keep my extra bottles in a big open vase I got in Sweden. There was a big sale from a vendor for $.99 per 10ml bottle (Good Prophets) that a bunch of us dove on a couple weeks ago and I ordered 40 bottles and tossed the extras into the vase (along with all my other liquids not steeping) - it's perfect because it's mostly clear so I can just pick it up and turn it around and find anything I want. For smaller stuff (and if you don't mind it not closing) I like the craft boxes that used to be only known as "floss boxes" like you'd put carded embroidery floss in. I can keep a bottle and its current atty/cart/carto in each cubby. The bigger bottles are on this old silver oblong serving tray I have that's about 4x10 in size, and I put the bottles into small boxes to contain them, and set them on the tray. Little stuff like spare parts, old batts, old carts/cartos, condoms, etc. in the bigger space in the floss organizer. I actually like having it with the lid off because I can see quickly what's what and what I've been using with it!

The coffee flavors really need to steep - sometimes they even need a decanting (lid offf) as they steep. There was a vanilla latte flavor that I got that I nearly choked on when I first tried it - 3 weeks later I was in love with it! So keep your flavors around and keep trying to steep (you can even try a warm water bath) or decant any flavors you think you hate for at least 6 weeks. If you don't like it by then? Put it up for trade :) You'll find that your taste buds are waking up (could be why you suddenly actually like a menthol flavor). There are some great fruit flavors out there - one of my favs is blueberry. I'm careful to read reviews on flavors to see if people think they taste like the fruit, and not a candy fruit or even (you'll hit one of these at some point) even soapy or perfumey fruit flavor - ick! I obviously made that mistake which is why I read now, lol!

I started skipping over posts of the people I hadn't gotten to know at least a little bit here - many people posted once and never came back so I skimmed. I'm still only on page 15, and as I said before, I came in around 110-ish, lol!

(wow, I multiquoted across 4 pages and even got a quote inside a quote - woohoo!!!!!:toast:)

I don't know Tex about all the Voltage change and stuff, but I know that when I went from just 3.3v in the Joye to 3.6v in the Volt - Wow what a change. The carto's I used in both were comparable 2.8ohms so it has to be the volts causing the change.

So your saying that if I got an unregulated PV then the kick could regulate it? Sounds like more research...

Hi, hope you had nice easter holidays. Welcome to the new +55, I know you will enjoy it in here.

I had some experiments with my Stardust's to avoid the cracking problems, but I also like my Biansi Imist a lot.

These service-friendly atomizers are really good, and the flavour is so nice in them. After two days of use I put the coil part of the atty in alcohol for 1-2 days and after a dry burn they are like new. No burnt taste as you can get it in other eGo models.

Although I'm also interested i VV mods. But I don't know if it will make the great difference? Or if it's just this Must Have virus again:)

Here is one that might interst you. It comes with a cup for 18650 and 18500 and has switchable voltage all on sale through tomorrow for 29.00. XL3 18650 Battery Variable Voltage - Black - with full and Mini Tube

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I own that - although I got the one with the gold rose inlay (same price). It's a workhorse and very nice. In the photo, I'm using a GoGo dual coil carto on an adapter, and a drip tip that I made for it.

Why are you embarrassed because your collection is rivaling mine. lol It looks nice although a cone cover would look good covering the threads. I like the matching design on the carto and drip tip too!
