Semiretired, you neglected to tell us what you had for desert. You always find some interesting sweet things. Hope you and your wife are enjoying yourselves.

I don't touch desserts in a restaurant - no matter how good they look. I save them for when I am at home in my comfort zone... I know weird, but it is just one of my quirks...

Had another interesting time today. We toured the historic districts and just admired the way the world used to be... It is amazing to consider what life used to be like compared to the 21st century we now live in... Moved about 50 miles today - not far, but looks like an interesting area. Decided to call it a night early today. My legs are killing me with all the walking and sitting we did in our tour... Tonight is barbecue - there is a Sonny's across the street. ;)

I just got my X2 650 in the mail today and I've been testing it out and comparing it to my echo autos. What I found interesting is how long they are. I expected it to be a little longer because of the pass through connection but the 650 is exactly the same size as my echo 1300. I can only imagine how long the X2 1300's are. Could someone that has any X2's give me some measurements? I'm curious if maybe they sent me a 900 by mistake.:2cool:

Tex they are almost the same length as the 78mm small batts - just fatter. I checked and that is right. It dwarfs my Joye 650... Got it in the mail as we were walking out of the car, but did not get to bring it on my trip due to something that SI is going to take care of first. I will get to test it next week...

I'm getting a cheesy battery charger with my VV Volt. Would like to pick up a good one, but want something that will also take care of the future purchase I know I'm going to make in the next couple of months. So....would like a charger that handles 18650, 18350, and 18490.

batteries.....the ones coming with the Volt are no names. Thinking I should pick up some good batteries. The sites I have read say that it is important to use IMR batteries (not sure what that means). I've also read that the batteries for the lava tube type modes should be unprotected, as the protection circuitry is built into the mod. Lots of sites, like Provape, seem to use the AW IMR batteries. There was a thread on the lava tube thread where several people recommended panasonic instead of AW. There was a bunch of technical information, but I don't know much about batteries.

Recommendations from the "maybe older" and wiser than me???? Actually, I'm pretty old, so I'll change that to wiser and more experienced....LOL

Could you measure one from tip to tip in inches? I don't know about mm except in diameter. lol I cant understand why they don't give the actual length because it all is one unit.

I can't help ya on a 650, but my 1300's are 4 5/8" including the cap and all the way to the tip of the threaded end.

The 650 tubes only are 72 millimeters = 2.83464567 inches.

I can show you a comparison ...

I decided to just get a tank atty and tanks - I can live with that - at least I can just fill up a few at a time and swap them out so that works for me. Plus I still love the giant leo cartos and the LRs for them as well. I decided to get a spare lea to leo adapter, and a leo to 510 for the leo battery - at least they look different enough, lol! I'll ask hurricanegirl - she might know :) Like I said though - totally ok with the lea 800 tank stuff!

Thanks for trying to make it work Rave - I was already thinking I might need a 510 to 510. So many little pieces, so much time to lose them!!

Well one of the best is the Pila charger, but that's priced about $40. I went with this one because it's one of the safest if you forget to take your batteries off once they reach full charge - and I liked that.

I just recently read some good 'things' said about this one: XTAR WXTAR WP2II Charger - 2 Bay Charger for 14650 / 17670 / 18650 etc. I was looking for a less expensive backup to the Pila. Makes me nervous to have only 1 charger. If it dies - that's a big UH OH! Guess that's what I get for 40 years in the computer industry. Always have a backup.

It's an 'intelligent' charger designed with a charging method which can monitor the battery’s status in real time and controls charging safely automatically. It also has reverse-polarity protection , and over/under voltage disconnecting technology. A neat feature it has is a USB port. With 2 charged batts in the charger you can use it as a power source to charge a USB device - like a USB Ecig charger or Ipod, etc. It's priced at various places from $15 to $20.

The ECF thread where I heard about it is: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/286289-18650-batt-charger.html

And places to get it:

Light Hound - shipping may be expensive

XTAR WXTAR WP2II Charger - 2 Bay Charger for 14650 / 17670 / 18650 etc

NHaler

Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

Ebay - if you can deal w/ Ebay, it's free shipping

In the 15 years I have had my chauffeur's license, I never had to take a physical or a drug test. I was "grandfathered" in. This year I found out that out new mayor needed to provide some jobs for his medical office friends so they could provide kickbacks to da mare. EVERYONE has to take the drug test and physical now.

It was gorgeous out, here too!!

And I REALLY want 4 fried chickens and a coke.

You should be fine, Sandy. I don't think they check for fried chicken and THAT coke in a drug test.

Hope you're doing well. Enjoyed reading about your train trip. You sound like you're ready to do it again.

Mike.....will the Xtar WP2 handle the 18350 batteries too??? If so....Discount Vapor has them coming in, and they take PayPal (which means I can use Bill Me Later).

I don't think so (sorry, I'm not Mike). It has some spacers that you can use with the 14650's, but they don't go down that far. Maybe 1/2 inch at most, shorter than the 18350's.

Don't know if anyone else is familiar with where you live, Gadd; but I am. Your part of Arkansas is seriously pretty country! My paternal grandfather was born not far from the town of Mountain Home back in 1883, which is why I know of it. I envy you your beautiful surroundings and nice climate. :)
Penny

Mike I grew up in the Rocky Mountain West (Wyoming to be specific) and then after the military moved to Colorado where my wife and I lived for the next 24 years. It is beautiful and majestic, but you can't live on beauty. When I retired we were ready to move to some place that was not like California east. There was such a proliferation of rules, regulations, taxes and user fees on everything (including breathing)... check out the anti pollution laws book in Denver, that we were anxious to find a different lifestyle. Plus the fact that the population had almost doubled in the 24 years that we lived there. You could not find a place even in the back country where you could be alone. We still have a lot of friends out there and do go for visits, but would not want to live there again. Besides, I am also getting pretty used to short winters with little snow.

Thanks Rave I finally got a measuement on the 650 from someone on the SI forum and the X2 650 is 3 5/8' long the same as my echo 1300. So I did get the right battery. It does work very good and seems to be the same as my echo except for the length, pass through and cone threads.
The main difference is the price especially the 1300's. The X2 is 30.00 and the Echo 1300 is 15.75. The 650 is a little closer 13.00 for the echo and 20.00 for the X2. I got my X2 on sale for 16.00 so that even made it closer. The X2 900 and 1300 are to long for me to use with my Kuwako but the 650 is fine. It is good to have another 808 fat bat auto on the market. I've been using an Echo 1300 for a year now and it has held up real good and I expect the X2 will do the same. The generation 2 autos are so much better than the 1st generation ones. I think more people will begin to use them now that Volt has one too and people will find out how good they work. There was such a stigma on autos because of the first ones that came out a few years ago had so many problems.

Yepper, da spitter. He sure keeps the dust settled on da mound. At least we got Pena back!

He would have went the full nine, but on a throw to first base for the final out, Garza threw the ball 20 rows into the stands. Pretty funny - there's probably a clip of it on the web somewhere.

Yeah, you'll find I follow players more than teams. Although, I must admit, I've always liked the Rays (as I said before, even when they stank). But then they ALWAYS have players I like.

I'm headed to Baltimore in May to catch the Rays in a three game series.

I was beginning to think this thread had been hijacked by variable voltage. Whew!

Has anyone heard from Jewels? I guess she's off to see her new grand daughter. Hope all is well there.

Soon headed home folks and then you'll have to put up with me more consistently. Right now I'm at the mercy of getting a good internet connection. Hope you are all doing well.

Sorry Blues....it's just that this is a great place to get "real" answers....

No, HD, I was kidding. It is nice that you can come onto this thread and get solid information from helpful people. And they will stick with you until you understand and have the answers that are going to be of help to you.

And that Tex, he's an encyclopedia of vaping. If he doesn't have it or hasn't tried it - he either has it on order or he's waiting for them to sell it. He's a good man.
