I'm actually still awake but will be going sleepies as soon as I finish typing! We went to wallyworld tonight, and I found that little wire organizer with the drawer and snapped one up because it really is the perfect size for so much of my stuff! I'm too tired to go back searching, but to tj (I think) thanks for the great idea!

Now, after 30 hours of awake, I am off to dreamyville!

Everytime I have heard of a battery getting warm during charging - it was replaced.

Makes good sense but way too easy. I'll send it back after catastrophic failure.

Enjoy the pizza Tiny - have a slice for me... I weighed in yesterday (I only weigh once a month) and instead of losing my standard 1 - 1.5lbs I had gained 3lbs. So no pizza for awhile and no mango key lime pie either (arrrggghhh - what a life to have)...

That's my system....I weigh on Wednesday nights, after a good hot soak, and clad in my Tarzan suit. If I'm under target I pig out; over, I know exactly how to step up to get it back down. Norma still hits the scale daily and goes all nuts over the results.

Every time Norma watches the Nate Berkus Show, a sense of dread washes over me. Yesterday, his program was about thrift store shopping and I noticed her getting all geeked up. Not a good sign....for me. I spent 6 hours and a quarter tank of gas hauling her around to thrift stores which she basically just gawked and stalked; I on the other hand got back home with 5 pair of baggies and cargo shorts....$4.00.

It's not as bad a deal as I alluded to....I'm again on the lookout for another vape storage box with expanded capacity.

Thanks for the recounting, dberkham....welcome to whatever it is we have going on here. Your turn to wade in and cut loose.

Another howdy to TJ and everyone have a wonderful weekend.

[snipped for the sake of ... oh, I dunno ... just cause I can!]
My ProVari came today, it's not as big as I thought it would be but it fits comfortably in my hand. It sure feels solid, I swear I could pound nails with it. I still have to charge the batteries and that's going to have to wait while I take Mrs. Tiny out for some of the best pizza this side of Italy (at least we think so).

Catch you all later. Take Care!

Hope the pizza was just as good as thought it would be! :) Someday, maybe I'll get myself to NY and find out what truly great pizza tastes like. (My NY buds & in-laws tell me I have no clue. LOL)

Now, down to Very Important Busy Stuff:
What type of supply are you using with your new ProVari??? Congrats on getting it. I'm only rivaling Ireland with my shades of green here, but I'm truly happy you have it.

Pictures would be good. :)

I no longer want to associate myself with this thread. Being that I am the OP, I feel I should say that and explain the reasons I feel that way.

There were some postings that had to with killing. Those postings were not merely an opinion, but actual statements about performing the act of killing. I found that to be offensive. I will say that it was some others who personally voiced their displeasure to me that brought me to politely request for it to stop.

And it did stop. There was some understandable reluctance on n9emz's part, but I was perfectly happy with his voicing of that reluctance because he agreed to comply. Understood and thank you.

Then I got to txtumbleweed's post.

"I don't remember who was telling the story but it was a couple of days ago. We are all different and have different likes and dislikes so I think if a subject bothers me or doesn't interest me I just don't join in the discussion. I think this is what makes this thread unique in that we can all be ourselves and discuss whatever we have interest in within reason anyways"

Agreed. But killing, Tex? It's okay to come in here and talk about killing things? Are you kidding me?

And then Semiretired the next morning.

"Moving on is a little strong of a position for breezing through another topic. ..... Myself, I cannot remember the posts in question - I do remember the topic being touched on - I skim over posts that do not interest me as most people would do. I read in detail what interest me - add it to my bank of knowledge and reply where I think I can add value (and or of course humor on occasion). That is how an open forum works .... "

Same statement to you. Killing? It's okay to just breeze over posts about killing? You can't remember? Please.

I want to bring to light that these are two people who want to keep this thread open and running. According to Semiretired, this is how an open forum works and this is what you are going to get folks.

I make one last request. Please find enough respect for me to move your conversations to another thread. This thread has already been soiled by your less than compassionate feelings for others. I don't want it contaminated any further. But then, that's just me being offended in respect to something human beings are supposed to cherish. Life.

Oh, Daisy, Penny, Sandy, HD, and everyone else who posted their sentiments - I love you all. And to that one person I have already made contact with - I will truly miss you.

Well I'm sorry you feel that way Bluesman and being as you addressed me I will respond. I'm very sorry you are leaving and I will miss you and enjoyed your posts. If you consider hunting killing what do you think about fishing? Is that killing too? Is it just mammals we need to avoid talking about?

I thought we were supposed to be mature and this sounds more like an elementary school. I'm far from a hunter and love looking at wildlife. I would much rather take a picture of an animal than shoot it but I enjoy venison and have lots of family and friends that hunt so I don't have a problem with it. Hunting is part of American culture and always has been. If you think this makes me not a compassionate person then I'm sorry you feel that way. I would have addressed this in a PM but being as you mentioned me I felt I needed to address it publically. If you have personal issues with someone it is much better to PM them and get the problem worked out privately.

Sounds like our system - my wife sees it on a show and we go hunt it down (LOL)... We shop for bargains also and only bargains. No use throwing it (money) out the door. It is so easy to stretch a dollar and I have been known to stretch every nickel into a dollar (LOL)... For us it has almost become a hobby - to see just how cheap we can find it and I do not mean cheap quality - I mean most bang for the buck...

Thanks Mike. I will follow your advice and hammers are a lot cheaper anyways. Do you use the amperage check? I get different readings from cartomizers in the same box, anywhere from 1.7 to 2.3. I wonder how accurate it is.

Got a battery in it and vaping away. It's surprising how much difference .2 volts makes, I'm going to be playing with this for a while trying to maximize the output from the juices.

I find it to be pretty accurate same reading with same atty on 2 ProVari's and my multi-meter. And I've found that a given advertized ohm rating for an atty can be +/- .1 to .2 ohms when doing a measurement. You can also watch the ohm measurement change as the atty/carto is used. Oddly, some go up and some go down.

Wow....placed my order for the Provari just before noon today....already got the shipping notice this evening. Now I'm gonna be like that guy in the song from youtube....sitting by the mailbox waiting...LOL.

Yikes! This isn't turning into the ProVari Annex forum for oldsters is it. Congrats.

It's over guys. As I said in my last post, I've been speaking for others as well as myself. We are gone. You have not been able to step outside yourselves to understand that those kind of posts are upsetting to some. Yes, people come to me from time to time to discuss things that are going on in the thread. I handle it as well as I can.

This is a sensitive subject to some and we have decided to move on. You may think what you want and say what you want. But you are not important at this time. The people that were hurt by this are important. You're not going to see that no matter what is said.

I will take the time to apologize. I'm sorry to those people who contacted me and conveyed their feelings. I tried to be civil in my approach and I failed. I sincerely wish I could have done better for you.

I don't understand why we can't put up a sign at the entrance that says: "Check all discussions of politics, religion, guns, and sex at the door". Then come on in grab a chair and have a vape. After all, our common connection is vaping, so let's just get back to it. eh?

I don't think anyone wants to hijack this thread and take it or keep it on an topic upsetting to other people.
We shouldn't give up all the 'good' that's happened here because we ran into some 'bad'. Chill time for both sides. Take a time-out, breath, life's too short to focus on the negative, let's get back to positive.

Bluesman, if you are truly gone, as somebody told me in PM, it feels like a death in the family. You will truly be missed, you are an important part of our family.

Now, on a funny note, I am changing the subject here, so I don't start crying.

Remember that drug test I told you guys about? I had to take a drug test to renew my chauffeur's license. I almost flunked it! The doctor asked me what drugs I was taking, and I told him the few prescriptions I had. He said "What else are you taking?" I immediately pulled out a PV, and told him I vaped. I wondered if that could show up on a drug test! He said I tested positive for amphetamines! It wasn't vaping that did it. I had completely forgotten that my doctor gave me a prescription for diet pills. I had taken one that morning. The doctor called my pharmacy and confirmed that I had a prescription, so all was well, and I passed. Sheesh! Me, a druggie? I don't think so!

Good to know it was not from vaping...

Mike, I hope that is what happens. This is not the first rift, but the first one was small and was forgotten rapidly. I hope this one to can also just pass. Beyond a few tech boards - this was my first real attempt at social media - I am enjoying it and it has opened a new light for me and would hate to see it stop here...

Well I'm going to be a little harsh, I do apologize in advance if that offends anyone.

No doubt there are some on ecf that are "animal rights" folks, and they have every right to have the opinions that they have.
Just don't try to jam your damn opinion down my throat.
No doubt there are some on ecf that are hunters, and they have every right to have the opinions that they have.
Just don't try to jam your damn opinion down my throat.
I think I'm old enough and have earned the right to form my own opinions.

Sorry to see you go Bluesman, but this is no more a AR thread than it is a hunting thread. It is a general discussion thread, and if I participated in an AR march this morning or went hunting this morning, I guess that's what I would say that I did this morning.

Good morning everyone. i've been AWOL for a couple of days.

Surprised me that a rift had developed on our thread. Guess it is human nature for that to happen whenever 2 or more people get together and it breaks my heart to have to admit that truth. I really thought we were old enough to know better. We all have our own path to walk. Seems most of the time we have to walk it on eggshells to keep from stepping on toes. So sad.

Will check in later today. Gotta go to the grocery store. Not my favorite thing but necessary.

    Good Morning, My Friends....

I didn't witness sunrise but am confident that the earth is still revolving acceptably true to it axis. We have some "severe" weather moving in again today. Although the snowbirds are no strangers to severe weather, for them it customarily arrived in the form of snow and ice....the reason for the quotation marks. Down here, it's wind and water which doesn't necessarily alarm the rest of us....we have hurricane parties.

Yesterday, Norma and I wandered around Rockledge, Cocoa, Merritt Island and back hitting the thrift shops. We just barely outran the thunderstorms that took down power lines and "caused" a bunch of wrecks. Storms finally hit us just before dark last night but not hard enough to knock any fronds from our palms this time. We have more storms moving in today and tomorrow. I need to make sure I cleaned the grill.

Nothing on my plate yet other than today's the day I begin training Norma how to keep her vaping stuff going during her upcoming, month-long trip to Indiana. The other day I tried to show her how to slide her tank up the carto to refill it and she ended up dumping a couple of milliliters of juice in her lap. This is going to be fun.

    Y'all have a great day.

I feel your pain....I honestly and truly do. The day we moved into our new home after retirement and relocation, I was in Wally*World Supercenter seven frikken times. On top of that, Norma decided to quit driving and just last month began driving the mile and a half there and two miles to Winn-Dixie for groceries. Of all the wonderful and sweet things this woman has done for me over the many years, grocery shopping is appreciated every bit as much as all of them combined.

I want that part of my life back. I'm sorry....
