Hi all,

I am on day 3 of vaping and yesterday I only had 3 analog smokes and today I have only had one! I have two different kits that I am using, not sure if I can say brand names or not but they are beginner ones that look like cigarettes (2 piece style). I can't get but an hour of use so through research I am hoping to find a Darwin for sale or maybe the other one Provari? Thing is I only want to use VG juice, and the less "dripping" the better for me at this point.

Welcome to ECF and CONGRATS on cutting back on smoking cigarettes. :toast: It sounds like you have been getting your ECigs from the local gas station/walmart/drug store/etc. Yes, you can say brand names and even link to websites if you wish.

If you can, try and find a local Vapor Store in your area, google search ECIG and your town name, and try out all the systems they have prior to purchasing a Darwin or Provari. If there are none in your area be sure to read up on all the equipment available, look at the threads that have 100s of pictures and go from there.

Wow thanks for all the responses! I am using a Blu kit from Walgreens. The manager is an enthusiast on vaping and said I can return it if I don't likt it so I went for it. I really enjoy the menthol flavor and I don't know if this is true or what but the juice in Blu is more natural (Johnson's Creek) am I right? This is what I meant by VG.

I also have a white cloud kit it was $40 I think it is called the cirrus 2? This tastes horrible to me and I think it is more chemical based flavor but I am not sure. It does last slightly longer than the blu but still weak after about an hour.

So basically I like the idea of having something small or that looks like a smoke. Maybe that is from being new to this but it is familiar. I really like the Blu charging pack but I hate how weak the hits are after such a short time. I also really like the idea of their juice being more natural, again keep in mind I am new to this stuff so it is still kind of freaking me out how good it tastes. I am not used to getting my cake and eating it too lol.

Welcome Aboard Rise!,

You should have no problem with the two piece units as long as the batteries are good. I am on week three using the Smokless Image Volt 78 and have had no problems with Smokless Image Blank Cartos and filling them with juice at a 50/50 PG/VG mix. I now only vape when I would normally want a normal cigarette so the 78 battery lasts me a day and one-half before I need to recharge it. I do plan to upgrade to their X2 size battery using a T3 for use at home and will most likely vape more once I get that setup. All I can say is read, read, read and then read some more. There is a huge amount of information here to help us understand all of our options, flavors, mods, and a helping hand when necessary.

Thing is I have more money than time. If Darwin is the best I just want to get it and go. I am also the believer that if you keep buying more and more cheaper options you end up spending way more than necessary. I am already over $100 in these kits that I have found out I could have bought similar things for like $10 lol.

So that in mind should I just stick with Johnson's Creek juice? Any other companies without that preservative in it you guys would recommend? If I find a Darwin and want the easiest, cleanest setup with natural juice is this possible? I really appreciate you guys taking the time to read my rants. Thank you.

i don't believe any juice companies use preservatives. its just not needed in the juice.
i have not tried Johnson creek but it gets good reviews.
Heathers heavenly has a natural "purity" line and i can recommende them for good juice and fast service.
virgin vapors also sells organic juice but i think they thin the vg too much.
good luck.

2 weeks off cigs: went from Blu, ego, Bolt/Telescope.

If you like the juice stick with it. If you're going to be doing this for a long time you can try other vendors at any time.

oh my head hurts from reading your first post. you arent going to get great power from the cig-alikes. the two kits you bought are probably the same type of batteries or at least close to the same mAh. (same size batteries) they are the same type of kit. so you have more batteries but 1 kit is probably not better over the other. Thats the problem with all the advertizing. 1 company says "OUR KITS ARE BETTER THAN COMPANY Y'S KITS" when in reality, most cig-look-alikes are the same thing or at least very close to being the same.

There is ONE cig-alike that is regulated at 3.7 volts (less battery life, more battery power) and that is the KR-808D also known as the VOLT and the BLOOG. The VOLT and the BLOOG are both KR-808D batteries. The 510 mega-T is also regulated at 3.7 volts but they are harder to find, not a lot of vendors are carrying them. Anyway, the Volt and Bloog are good for power but they are still such small batteries. You have a couple options, and its completely up to you.

1. You can stick with the kits you have now (i'm guessing you have four regular 510 batteries from the 2 kits? If you decide to stick with these little batteries then at least look for a PCC (personal charging case) that way you can keep batteries charging while your out of the home. The case will charge a battery while its in your pocket while the other is used or kept outside the case.

2. OR you could sell these two kits in the members classifieds area of this forum. Some people with bigger mods are looking to get a few regular 510 cig-alike batteries for nostalgic reason, or to use when they are at a casino or a party where they'd be embarrassed to use bigger mods. You may have luck selling some of your batteries in there. You'll just have to get your paypal verified here.

3. IF you decide that those little batteries are just too weak and a waste of money (a lot of us do) you can go with something a little bigger, or a lot bigger haha. You can go for the VOLT or the BLOOGs but like I said, they have bad battery life. OR you could go with an eGo kit. The eGos are fantastic they give ya great vapor and good battery life. They even have variable voltage eGo kits that you can use with ANY OHM cartomizer or atomizer. (there are different ohm cartos and attys for higher or lower voltages) See the little cig-alike batteries youve got now probably came with high ohm cartomizers because thats all they can handle. With an eGo you can get lower resisted cartomizers, with a variable voltage eGo you can up the voltage and use your higher resisted cartos until they are dead! (and the vape will BE MUCH BETTER) The variable voltage eGos are called "eGo Spinners"

4. You might also be interested in a bigger battery mod. If you have the money, you can spring for a Provari, sure. Provaris are variable voltage and they are an artisan product, so, naturally they are expensive, but they are also high quality. There are cheaper vvoltage devices that work just as well, such as the Vmax or the Zmax or the Lambo or the Young June. All great choices for a beginner. The DARWIN is a ridiculous choice. They are selling upwards of $400+ and there are cheaper devices that do the same thing lol. The darwin is now a collectors piece. The Zmax does everything the Darwin does and you can get a new Stainless Steel Zmax for $120.00. The Zmax is variable voltage AND variable wattage, so once you tell it how u like to vape with 1 carto, it will automatically set itself to know what to set itself at when you buy new cartomizers. Wonderful for n00bs to vaping.

Another road you could go down is the simplicity road. Get yourself a madvape's BOLT, an Altsmoke SILVER BULLET or ALPHA, or a Smoktech Telescoping mod. These are FIXED voltage mods that you can use low resistance cartomizers with. Wonderful vape and this is actually my preference for out and about. (and at home for now as well haha) I use eGos at places like Bars and the Grocery Store, and I use my big battery devices at home or at a good friends house. Its good to have a small battery kit (volt/bloog or ego) and a big battery like the variable voltage devices or fixed volt devices i listed above.

If you really get into the HOBBY end of things, you can get into rebuildable atomizers and genesis mods but don't even bother looking those up at this point, your still starting out and those are more hobby based. If you HATE dripping into your cartomizers then I HIGHLY recommend getting yourself a CARTOMIZER TANK, or three, lol. These are tanks that hold PUNCHED (cartos with holes in their side) CARTOMIZERS. As you suck, the juice gets pulled into the cartomizer's hole, and in that way, you only have to fill the tank here n there. You could also get a nice big clearomizer, like a Kanger or a CE6 or whatever.

I recommend you take everything I just said into consideration, go to a big vape superstore like madvapes, look for all the names of the things I mentioned (google volt and bloog because madvapes doesnt sell those.. although they do have the 510 mega T.. But I really recommend getting an eGo rather than a VOLT/BLOOG lol) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand just look around.

ALRIGHT. I feel thoroughly insane for 1. knowing all of this and 2. typing it all out just now. SOO i'm gonna go take a bath and shut up. Hope I helped. Bye.

Bottom coil cartomizers or a mini nova tank for portability and ease of use? I have settled on a Provari and z-atty pro for home use but I need an on the go set up. I have a Vea still under the 30 day trial, I love how it looks and feels but I keep getting this burning sensation in my lungs not sure if its the cartomizer? Am I doing it wrong? I don't know.

It is very important that the look is streamlined to me. Obviously function does trump it but I'm willing to pay to have both. So for a 650mah that I'm going to carry in my pocket what's the top of the line way to go you think?
