seriously off target question but i geuss you could look at this different ways and i REALLY would like some feedback on this.. (if u dont know GA law just pretend its whatever state you live in for the sake of the question)
the scenario: say u were on state probation and your P.O. can randomly come to your house to check up on you. say u have a diy setup in your room (i hate using the word "lab" but to the uninformed it could very well look like some kind of a .... lab goin on..) in a small corner of the room is a comp with a calculator program, 3 stackacble shelves containing juices, concentrates, aceytylperidine, tobacco absolute, sucralose, ethyl maltol, 100 mg NIC base, 1,3,5,10, and 20 ml syringes (without needles attached/ just for drawing up liquid), pipettes, a couple beakers, bottles of all shapes and sizes, bottles of pg, bottles of vg,, and so on. right along with this stuff is all your hardware like bats and cartos, or whatever.. and its all set up all nice and pretty and is very professional looking. btw, there is no actual hypodermic needle and there is no bottle of PGA just to put that out there. probably the most sketchy looking thing is the bottle of MFS 100 mg NIC base which says for labratory use only, but then also when u just kinda step back and look at everything as a whole, your just like, DAMN...
the qeustion:as bad as this might APPEAR, and to the best of my knowledge, there is NOTHING illegal about this setup. and given that the person using it was able to QUIT smoking AND get his own mother AND girlfriend to quit smoking is pretty amazing to say the least, therefore the user feels realy passionate about what hes doing and his family actually comes to him bein like "so u got my new chocolate hazlenut ready for me?" he has plans to open up a booth at the flea mall and retail hardware and sell diy. he WANTS to keep doin this, he BELEIVES in it and provides material for the open minded trying to quit smoking and looking for a safer alternative. he feels like hes in a tough position however. he even had nightmares of his P.O. coming into his room and seing her pull out the handcuffs.. should he shut it down or is it just in his head? he already knows that there is the option of just telling the p.o. and trying to pursuade her to uderstand, but hed rather not draw her attention unless it was absolutely necessary. keeps telling himself "why am i even worryin about it, it only looks bad when its mentally associated with things that ARE illegal. this isnt (currently) illegal. what would YOU do if you were this guy:facepalm:

Absolutely, let them know what is intended, the nature of the stuff. End of the day you're talking flavorings, VG, PG, and nicotine base liquid, which really isn't illegal in any way. Other than for safe practice, keeping nic juice inaccessible to kids or pets (which all DIY people should do), it's an entirely honest thing to be doing, saves money and allows people to customize liquid to get pleasant mixes.

Make sure you pull a proper peddlers license or whatever it is in your jurisdiction so you don't get in trouble selling things.

He/she needs to print out a bunch of info so he/she can hand them to PO. Provide the link to here and to CASAA.
he has printed out msds sheets for the asyle, the nic and the proper G.R.A.S. material for the flavorings and has with that a quick summary of the benefits of esmoking, vaping to attach , making a packet of papers explaining in breif everything and there purpose. btw the pic of the paper towel test that dondaboomvape talks about in his guide to vaping shows a great example of vaping as a safer alternative. now, when he reports in a few days hes decided to take that packet of papers with him and discuss it with her in an attempt to make her feel like he is trying to do the right thing by letting her know upfront, which hes hoping will work out in his favor. honesty is the answer.

Broach the subject with my PO before he/she just stumbles on it, for one.

I would consider it from their perspective. If I was a P.O. and you had a DIY lab in your house, I wouldn't have a problem with it. That is, as long as you were not on probation for some drug related crime. But I might think twice about it if you were.

Sometimes perception IS reality. The last thing you want is a P.O. thinking your not on the straight and narrow.

Maybe it would be wiser to just buy retail juice and not tempt faith. That way you would have a paperwork trail for of all those evil looking bottle of mystery fluid they might find in your house.

is your PO nice at all? i doubt mine would have cared. and when she came to my old apartment, they hardly looked around.

i would have info available for the PO. and maybe if youre so worried, just store some of it someplace else until you are off probation.

all that being said, i bet a judge would be very angry if he had a "violated" person in front of him, whose only mistake was having electronic cigarette equipment. the PO would look pretty stupid for wasting the courts time and taxpayer dollars over that, imho.

Keep a readily-available link to ECF's DIY Threads. DO let the PO know about it's purpose and presence. There would be no question that this is no more dangerous or illegal than keeping a box of NICODERM PATCHES or NICKORETTE GUM on hand! Be sure to have all your nicotine liquids properly closed with child-proof caps, placed out of reach of children, pets, and old people. HAZMAT placards not mandatory!
Best of luck to you.

so its been about a month now since this thread was first started i just wanna give a quick thanks to everyone that posted responses, and for all the helpfull advise. all of you seemed to make really good points. just incase you were curious what ever happened to the guy on probation this is what happened: the day that he went in to report he took with him all the msds and all safety information along with general information on the benefits of vaping as opposed to smoking. after taking his random drug test that day and passing it with flying colors he sat back down to begin talking to her about it in a professional, educated manner and by the end of his little testimony she was very supportive, and proud to see that he had not only been able to get off analogs, but was able to get his mom and girlfriend off as well. basically she looked at it like this: hes doin good, hes passing his drug tests he and appears to be really passionate about his cause. so basically she said that she trusts in him that he knows what hes doing and that because of the way hes going about it, being upfront, and willing to show her anything at any time. therefore she has granted him the freedom to use whatever equipment he needs to use (syringes, beakers etc.), as long as its legal, and he keeps it all in one place. final thought: this definately turned out to have a happy ending, however it couldve raised some alarms in the begining, had he just let her stumble upon it. thats why in this situation its always best to be honest, inform those around you, make a good impression, and set an example for the skeptics.

Nothing is really illegal about it. My mom called the cops on me and kicked me out when my stuff came. (shes crazy btw like for real) the cops came i told them it was for creating electronic cigarette fluid and that it was cheaper just as rolling your own cigarettes can be and bam. When another cop showed up he turned to the one i told everything to and asked whats going on the cop told him that its just stuff for the new electronic cigarette thing they have out. and said good night and left hahahhahaha

OMG..wow.. that reminds me of my mom back in my younger years so bad. i used to DJ at rave parties and stuff a long time ago and had a job at subway were i worked part-time. one day i called my mom before clocking out for the day and i asked her if she wanted me to bring her a sandwich home and she was like yeh, and then she told me what she wanted on it. it was like everything EXCEPT banana peppers lol, anyway i get home shes waiting outside for me cuz she was gonna be picking her up for somthing, but so i give her the sandwich there in th driveway, and i had accisently put the peppers on it. she got real passive aggresive AboUt it and then said she had to go bak in and use the bathroom befor we left, so i wait outside and she gos in. she comes back out and shes like ya know, im goin home F this... ok..so she left.
i go inside, set my stuff down, and think ok im gonna mix some records and get her fat A off my mind, i go and as im standing over my turntables, i noticed that she had ripped the tonearms of of them. of each turntable, and the fader knobs on my mixer were all torn off. so thats wen i realized wat she was REALY doin wen she went back in my house to use the bathroom. because i messed up her sandwhich... she came in and tore up my 1,200 dollar setup, and shoved the peices town her spandex pants! and walked right passed me with em in there as she went to her car, then threw em out the window a few miles later! true story.. she eventually repaid me for it btw, that was the last time i ever made my mom a sandwich..
