I doubt you can put it back in... I tried from the top, and it won't squish enough to snap in, it gets stuck in the threads. I thought maybe the plunger will push it back into the groove, but no, it stays in the threads and you can't screw down the mouthpiece.

I thought maybe it can be done from the bottom - but no, it wiggles too much.

If it can be done, it will take someone with a lot more patience. :D

The heck with it, anyways. It's not like it's necessary or anything...

Guess we have to disagree with what's a flaw or not! If it comes out too easily, maybe there's a better way to design it. FYI, mine came out with pressure from the water in a faucet while cleaning so maybe I should be gentler while cleaning. Anyway, I have three going at once and only one came out (so far!). Someone should do a video with how to re-insert the darn thing. My eyes aren't great so I doubt I'll be able to do it anyway!

Mine died today after 3 days of heavy vapping.
I decided it was time to clean it so I just dry burned it like I do with the ce2's.
The coil started to glow orange and then stopped glowing. Maybe I dry burned it to long.
But anyhow i was hopping it would last longer.
Great device for sure, I have 2 others I will see how long they last.
And I will buy more when they get them in stock.

I cleaned and dry burned my "problem child" (the other one is working fine). No problems with cleaning. Still not working right afterwards though. I think this particular one is just not quite built right. Like Bad is always saying - with thousands built, there are bound to be some few that are out of tolerances. It's still burning juice. Maybe the resistance is too low. I can't put it on the ProVari, so I can't check.

The other one is good though. Taste is great. Lots of vapor. Got a handle on how to use it best. Went through four refills so far. Taste or function not diminished. Considering how I'm using a thick coffee/vanilla dark liquid, that's pretty impressive.

rockinrobbie, when i say its not a flaw im not trying to demean you so please dont take it like that, i mean its just like the keys to your car and to your house, the key isnt a flaw is it, we are all aware of the keys and we are careful not to lose them or else we cant get in, so we know there is a gasket on the mouthpeace, so be aware of it when removing the mp or reinserting it, its a extra peace we all need to be aware of.

Metaphors are great until they aren't. I'm not sure about comparing the seal to a key. To me, the Stardust is more like the door to the house. Sure, the doorknob can fall off if you pull too hard but the door can still function fine. The question is, could the doorknob be attached a little more securely? But who needs doorknobs anyway! I didn't think I was being demeaned, just that I don't agree it isn't necessarily a flaw. I think I've stated (and videoed!) that I'm a fan of the Stardust and this is the smallest of issues since it doesn't affect function. Still, if this is happening to enough people, I think it may be reasonable to consider it... hmm, if you don't like the word 'flaw'... perhaps a challenged design?

This happened to me twice after I cleaned a Stardust and I thought it could be dead, but I just kept vaping with strong draws (even when it seemed like nothing was happening) and suddenly it came back to life. Maybe don't give up?

When I cleaned mine, I lift the cap cover, from the center, and wash. After cleaning it out, I leave the cover lifted while I dry burn. Once the coil gets reddish, I do short (3 second) burns, with about a 10 second pause between. I am a bit distracted, so it may have been more like 30. After a doing that a few times, I popped the cover back on, and filled. It works like a champ afterwords.

I am going to cover this in my review a bit better, but I wouldn't go too long on the burns.

Five secs a burn here, but otherwise I did the same. Afterwards, for the first three drags there was no vapor, and then it worked again.

And now my "problem child" is vaping like a champ. Go figure.

I have been using the map tank on my provari for about 5 months. I like this stardust, I do have to fill more often of course, but very easy and you do have to watch you don't over fill it, it will flood. But this thing is top of the line at this time, very professionally constructed. I think I just dry burned it to long, but for the price, 3 days of at least 20 refills, still not to bad.

Great to hear that worked for someone else too! I was beginning to think it may just be in my head!

I like that you are comparing your MAP Tank to the Stardust. I was going to compare the Stone to the MAP Tank E4, but was wondering about the Stardust. It works much like a tank, so the idea crossed my mind earlier. Even though it fills more often, it is such an easy fill, that the comparison kind of makes sense. Thanks.

I have a couple stone tanks also,.and yes that would be a better comparison. I have not used them yet. So of course i cannot comment on it. I have been vapping almost non stop (seems that way any how) since Sept of 2010. It would be nice if replacement inerds would be available in the future for the stone and even the stardust. I apologize for talking about the map on here, but I use that as an example of replacement inerds (the ce2 of course, which works great for me, but they are getting harder to find). If the stone tank and the stardust are just a disposable item, it may get a little pricey in the long run, good for Gotvapes but not for some of us vappers. Just my opinion.

but again why is it happening, you all know there is a silicone ring there, so you need to be aware of it right.

thats like saying the juice is leaking through the top becuase you forgot to screw the mouth peace on.

Good question! Why is it happening? Yes, I know there is a silicon ring there. Yes, I was careful when putting the plug in and out. No, that's not when the ring came out, it came out during running under a faucet to clean (maybe not the best way to clean it, obviously). Sheesh, dude, at this point, it's like you want me to accept the blame for my own incompetence, and that the product was at no fault at all. Even as I've said repeatedly that I was probably not gentle enough and maybe cleaning under a faucet is not the right way to clean, I still think it would be nice if it could be secured tighter. Then again, maybe there's no way to make it more secure, maybe it's not worth the hassle, maybe few others have that issue to justify any change. I don't know!

But, come on, to say it is like juice leaking through the top because I forgot to screw the mouth piece on is pretty absurd! I think you're being just a wee bit defensive.
