...ive had the SD for about a week, been patiently vaping 4 or 5 fills and every other(roughly) hit, is a dry hit that scorches my throat. ......i get dry hits with the stone also.

it doesnt matter if i keep it upside down for 30 minutes or take puffs while its upside down, sideways and an angle, i get way too many dry hits for this to be a pleasure.
I'm so SORRY it's not performing as well 4 u! :(

I've got two Stardusts in rotation atm, plus the Stone tank. One of the SD's has a draw significantly more 'stiff' than the other, but it's still workable 4me. So...since I've never had a dry hit with SD's or Stone, after reading your post I began experimenting, to see if I can force a dry hit.

*SUCCESS*...uhmmmmmm .......anywhoo, I find if I pull real hard (SUCK THE 'Ca Ca' OUT OF IT), I CAN get a dry hit on everything...but long, slow drags work well.

Do you think the difficulty might be a result of your vaping style, or do you think it's more likely a flaw in the hardware?

its all personal preference. i like boge cartos because you fill and it always works. always. as long as there is juice in the carto, it works....without any dry hits. i cant say that for the stardust. ive had the SD for about a week, been patiently vaping 4 or 5 fills and every other(roughly) hit, is a dry hit that scorches my throat. im glad it works for you guys...but it just wont work for me...i get dry hits with the stone also.

like i said, i have tried and tried in hopes the wicks will start working but...they just arent for me. (i vape anywhere from 3.7 to 4.2 v)

It is good there is room for everyone here in vaping :) personally (can't remember if I told you) I got bronchial spasms from fillers, so those definitely weren't for me. I did just find something new to me, about the stardusts. I was sitting here not paying attention and sucking on the danged thing like a pacifier without hitting the button...and got a small mouth full of juice. But that is the opposite of your issue.

Edited to comply with TOS, PLEASE accept my apologies.

i dont know if its my vaping style or the SD in itself thats creating this dilemma. i really like to like this product because its the nicest/classiest looking carto of any kind. no one can argue with the success the SD has had with so many people, so i wont blame the product until i figure out the culprit.

ill keep fiddling and report back if i find the thief in this drama.

Maybe you could do a video, from start what juice, how filled, to vape to dry vape so we can SEE as best we can what is going on?

I don't know if I missed it (in the midst of switching to a new 'puter, which totally rocks - got it as a gift, is that cool or what? :)), but did you try fiddling with caps and such?

i THINK the culprit is found. thus far i have been using bobas, gorilla and bounty hunter in my SD. this morning i poured out whatever was in it and loaded it with vaporgods chai tea (which is noticeably thinner than those 3 mentioned above) and i havent gotten ONE dry hit yet (ive gone through half a fill). i would havent gotten at least 10 dry hits by now with those other juices.
now i see what you guys are talking about, when it works like this its hassle free and awsome.

One of my customers got me an iMac for Christmas. Now, I like Macs and all, but I never thought they had the greatest specs. This one is 27", i7 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, AMD HD6970 w/2GB, etc. I have to admit, it is awesome... and FREE! Free is great!

I am so glad to see you have found a good use for it. I think it is a very niche product. But as far as I am concerned that is a good thing and it is super fabulous. Trying to make one thing work well in every situation is almost guaranteed to make it mediocre at nest in most situations. I have different cartos for different juices, for different situation, etc.

I'm a developer. I work with independent pharmacies. The company I work for provides the front end, back end and all systems needed to run a pharmacy. So, when you save a customer tens-of-thousands, they love to buy you gifts. They are rare to get, but awesome when they come.

I'm starting to get the odd dry hit (burnt taste) with one of my 100% vg juices. When you dry burn these after rinsing should you be able to see the coil glow through the middle of the white fitting at the top or is just a case of dry burning for x seconds and hoping for the best? What's the best value for x?

You should be able to see the coil. I show my cleaning process, in my video review. Take a look.
