Yes, if your provari dies and provape is out of business, you don't have a mod. If all your kicks die, you can still vape, you just have to change batteries more often. With eight kicks, that isn't going to be anytime soon.
You also no longer have any protection against shorts. And that was not the plan, as I said previously. I personally don't want a missile in my mouth without a fuse. Ymmv of course

My issue with the "kicks" from Smoktech is that unlike the genuine Evolv kicks they use that same pwm as the old vamo. At lower wattage they give my juices a burnt taste. I would just use a fuse myself.
Weird. All 5 of mine are China Kicks and not one has ever caused a burnt taste. They are All RMS not Mean calculation so no heavy power spikes.

Add 7 more Aromamizer RDTA's and 1,000,000 mg of nicotine to this and I don't even see the line yet.

Now that is the collection I'm shooting for! We shall see...

Starting 7-1-2016 No one in Utah can order vape stuff by mail nor can anyone outside of Utah order vape stuff from Utah.

Edit. Just saw that someone else had posted this.
Dynamite drop in Cromwell. Keepin an eye out on those state laws, which I along with most others forget to keep tabs on. Thank you.

Trust me.........I notice Burnt Taste (YUCK!) or did you mean the somewhat irritation Pulsing at higher settings?

I guess it's more of a burning sensation and irritation now that you mention it. I have avoided it for about three years and hope to never experience it again. Nothing in my stockpile of mechs, ProVaris, Evics and a Coolfire IV have that issue. Mechs and ProVaris are still the standard for smooth power as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe like some of the regulated mods and have trouble dropping below battery voltage.
Even some of the new mods have trouble with this.
Busardo just reviewed one that when set to 7 watts actually put out about twice that.

Nope, it is a Frequency thing.
Most early Chinese devices cycled at 33hz, rather slow and obvious to those in tune. then some Ran Mean which was Horrid Hot and inaccurate. Latest was the Istick 20w
First eVic came in running 400hz and was much smoother.
Provari was around 800hz and used a special filtering circuit to Flatten the signal - Sweet.

Okay, I have been on ECF to long.
For Dead Flat, Smooth - Nothing touches a Mechanical mod and Fresh Battery.
Unfortunately it changes over time used.:(
So, my SX Mini M Class does the Deed when I need a Great Vape:D

A kick does protect against shorts. It will not accept Ω outside of a certain range. And at the low end, that range is far from a dead short. Have you ever heard of anyone sub-ohm-ing with a kick? Of course, I could put fuses in there, too. A kicked mech is a tootle-puffer's delight.
