after all the talk about rayon lately I decided to try it. Went to Sallys and bought some. Came home and pulled out all wicks (4) and inserted rayon, very thick and tight. I LOVE IT. So far not a tiniest bit of burnt taste and no leaking either. Only been a half a day and the test will come in a few days but so far so good. No difference in taste at all (to me)

My rayon wicks last for weeks. But I dont use any sweetener in my DIY.

You have to keep it in the freezer or it gets a slightly peppery taste.
I'd buy the 100..which I plant to do in a couple of weeks, a half liter of ecx 100
and a liter of Nude 100
The nude is really worth the extra money

I use Stevia sweetener and Sally Salon coil 100% cotton wicks and my wicks usually last 2 weeks with about 20-30 ml/day vaped in the STM.

Rayon is the way. Japanese cotton is nice but it doesn't last as long as Rayon.
Cotton burns if you dry hit, rayon doesn't.
Sweetner like sucralose only caramelizes on your coil
which is no problem if you roll your own

I use sweetener a lot, usually at least 1-3%
