Vicks......I quit drinking pop a year or so back and lost 15lb's from that alone. I'm really looking at this as a change in eating habit than a diet.Your right....Diets fail! Hopefully the weight loss will happen as I go along.See, I don't consider what I'm doing in food intake a diet. Diet's fail. I just started thinking along different lines. Now, if I want something really badly, I have it, be it a soda, a donut, or other stuff that's 'not so good.' But I find once I have a few bites, it's not what I wanted, it's only what I 'thought' I wanted....thus I put it down.
Soda continues to be my onus, tho - I'm a diehard Pepsi-holic. But I'm slowly shifting away from that, too, by drinking water in the evenings and slowing my sipping at work.
As long as my daily intake is made up mainly of fresh fruits, veggies, grains, that little bottle of Ensure I drink at work for lunch, I can splurge when I want to, and my activity level insures that I'm not taking in more than I'm burning off.
Last night was the first night in months that I missed the 3 for $1.29 tacos at Del Taco.....I guess that's a start for me...LOL!!!
