First off I'd like to say WOW! What alot of info to be had on this site. Thanks!
I'm 34 years old and have been smoking analogs since the age of 14 years old. :( In all honesty, it's the only thing in my life that I truly regret. What's done is done and I've been fighting this battle for quite sometime. I was up to 2 packs a day at over $6.00 a pack my wallet can no longer take it. I'm sure my health will appreciate it as well, but truthfully watching my hard earned money handed over day after day really took it's toll on me.
I had tried a cheaper ecig a few years back and it was horrible. I was scared to make the leap on a better unit after my first experiences with an ecig. However, I stumbled into a co-worker that had an Inferno and decided to give it a try. I was grasping for anything that might help me at least cut back on analogs a bit. To my surprise I've been analog free for 3 days now. Something that I NEVER have done in 20 years of smoking. I've never been 24 hours straight without at least one analog.
For what it's worth I had no intention of quitting analogs but somehow so far I've not even really wanted one.
I can only keep my fingers crossed that this works and that I won't relapse. Thanks for all the stories on the site here, I enjoy reading them and I hope that someone out there thinking about making the switch reads this post and makes the jump. Unfortunately I am money driven, I don't live for money but I don't enjoy blowing my money either.

Congratulations on 3 days! :toast:

My story is similar, although 1 PAD for 30 years. Never thought it would be so easy...and I did "relapse", but here's the cool thing. Even when/if you have a cigarette, or a few, it's incredibly easy to go right back to vaping. I fell off the wagon a couple of times, the last time I smoked 2 a day for 10 days (enough for a pack) and vaped the rest of the time. Didn't feel a need to buy another pack, and I've been smoke free for about a week now with no issues (actually fewer than when I fell off the wagon).

So don't freak out, don't put too much pressure on yourself; just enjoy the fact that you are on your way and having fun.

Welcome!

But don't freak out if you relapse. There's nothing wrong with a gradual switch to vaping. I think most people would rather see you wean yourself from cigarettes rather than give up in frustration. That's how I did it and I haven't had a cig in six months.

Semper Vape

Works differently for different people, I guess. I found quitting cigarettes cold turkey worked best for me. Any time the craving came, I just reached for my ego instead of lighting up.
