I'm 47, never married, no kids (can't stand 'em). Love animals. I actually like snakes and spiders (think they're beautiful, not that I want either in my bed!).

I'm an engineer, but hate computer and video games. I can sew and used to dance ballet. I can play the drums, saxophone, clarinet, and organ.

I talk big and come across bolder than brass, but secretly I really think everybody hates me.

I wish Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird" had been my father. I love big band music. I can't stand seafood, in any form.

I have hair down to my tailbone! I buy a LOT of conditioner. That is all. :)

I have been lost in every major city on the east coast, working on the west coast now. Been to 22 countries, and lived in Bahrain(a place I had never even heard of prior)

and I started smoking at 15...I stole my first cig from my grandmother been hooked ever since. (never will tell her that one)

I was a super shy kid..by The Grace of God I found 2 girlfriends that pulled me kicking and screaming into the 'world" . Somehow after a disaster of a 1st marriage all 3 years of it..I found my backbone and a voice!

Rocket..I don't hate you! By you do challenge me to use my brain..not nice!
Rose..I remember my dad saying he was a vet (WWII) and thought at the time it was odd because vets were those old guys in the parades with hats with all the medals on them!

I'm 47 and getting my PhD in math. My research is mainly molecular dynamics. I have discovered that I HATE math, lol. At least the math at this level. Mostly what I do right now is play ... either WoW or Aion all day long.

I don't really like children but I ended up raising for of them and I LOVE those, lol. Just don't really like other people's. My daughter used to tell me get to the hell off the computer and do my homework  when she was in high school and I was an undergrad.

Oh and another secret about me is that I'm as addicted to this forum as I ever was to analogs and now vaping. I actual catch my self tabbing over from my games to read it, lol!

Well I don't often get it wrong! For for once I just went by name instead of reading your back posts for a clue!
Sorry as I can be!!8-o Welcome to the women's room and please post til your heart is content!
And no it wasn't the math thing, my good friend is a math prof. and quite a few of the women here are uber smart (not me of course). That is my favorite type of woman..makes me seem to look smart when I stand among them.

Not a problem MK. I've also been mistaken for a man on vent (voip for gaming) because when I smoked my voice was really low. Hehe today my son's gf called and didn't recognize my voice it's gone up so much already! Anywho, the name.... it was a nickname that the people I used to work with gave me. It started as Devilwoman but that name was taken on Wow so my boss started callin me the cajun version Devilooman, lol. It has stuck since.

I don't like other peoples kids either. We NEVER thought we would have a child, because I just didn't LIKE the little buggers, (how rude ARE they nowadays? Most parents should be taken outside a given a permanent 'time out' for what they let them get away with!), and my husband, who DID like kids, was 31 years older than me.

He's now 71 and we have a 6 year old! (Yes, his first child!) And, I know all parents say this, but she IS a really good kid. :w00t:

I hate ANYONE that's cruel to animals and once yanked a little bugger's (who was around ten at the time), arm through a chain link fence to his ARMPIT because he was calling to a LOVELY local dog, (who just so happened to be best doggy friends with OUR dog and was VERY timid), with a cookie in his hand and when she got close enough, he threw a ROCK at her.

Guess he didn't know that I was in there too.

Found out the hard way though!! :)

I raised two---girl, boy.

They even managed to turn out pretty good.

I have very little patience for kids these days though. Mainly because most of them don’t behave and this is why it’s obvious timeout doesn’t work.
Yes, I spanked my kids. Both of them rarely needed it after getting out of diapers so I figured they were never harmed. After that a good threat or the use of their middle name pretty much set them on the straight and narrow.

I hate to say it, but my granddaughter is just like those kids. And she is an only child so she gets pretty much what she wants. To make matters worse, since she was diagnosed diabetic, Daddy TOTALLY gives her everything she wants.
I’m hoping as time goes on, this will change. I love her to death and would hate to see her become a spoiled brat.

My grandson and I were in a store today getting a box of candy each for the movie and as we left the counter girl said "ma'am you left your package!" I turned to my 10 year old grandson and he grabbed the bag and told the lady :Grandma doesn't carry her own packages!" He then ran to the door to open it for me. His mom would faint if he did this for her..but she doesn't demand good manners like I do. She should. I only get the boys on vacation, that's not enough time to remind them of thier yes ma'am's and no sirs. As a reward for opening my doors and carrying my packages he got his driving lesson down my dirt road. he does great when he is in the middle, but I am trying to get him to drive on only one side..lol. He is also having trouble with keeping his left foot off to the side!

Hmmm, ok I can say more than one true thing?

Ok, I still play with dolls (I collect them) and I want a little barky dog to sit on my lap, I don't really care if it doesn't like other people... it's my dog *winks and smiles*

"Gramma, your dog bit me..."

"Well leave her alone. I'd bite you too if you pulled my ears."

My name is Margie and I'm a fabricaholic.
