Well, this has been an interesting week. It's actually been eight days since my last analog and so far, it's been fantastic.

I knew that vaping was doing the trick of keeping me off analogs while working on my computer and running errands, but what about some real tests? I had a trip to take that involved a three hour drive one way with a return trip a few days later. Would I slip back into smoking or would I be happy vaping on a road trip? I was a little concerned, so I threw both my vaping equipment and my leftover analogs in my purse. Never touched the analogs. Never was tempted to. Vaping as I cruised along the turnpike was amazing. It was a rainy day and I was able to keep the windows up the whole time and when I reached my destination and my daughter got in the car, she said, "I can tell you're wearing your vanilla perfume. It smells like a bakery in here."

Second test--today we threw a bridal shower for my daughter. Lots of stress, rushing around, and details to take care of. My husband of thirty years (God Bless him) sometimes makes me feel like I'm Mario in the video game and hubby is the game master who throws up obstacles to see if I can overcome them. He chose today of all days to schedule workers to dig a six foot deep trench cutting between my back porch and the driveway, so every box for the shower had to be carried an extra fifty feet around the trench to be placed in the car. Normally, a day like today would find me trying to sneak out to the parking lot for a quick smoke and worrying that a family member would see me and pass judgement, but today---I just made a couple of trips to the single stall bathroom and vaped away. What would have been, in the past, a tense experience was so much more relaxing and enjoyable because I was able to slip into the bathroom for a quick, private moment of vaping. I also was able to hug all the guests and not worry about someone smelling smoke on my hair or clothes. Win-win.

I have an eGo C and an eGo T. I find that I use both of them pretty much equally. While I get better taste, vapor, and battery life with the C, it's comforting to hold the cigarette-like T sometimes, and sometimes I want the gentler TH and lighter vapor of the T. I took the T to the shower today and it fit easily in my pocket. I didn't have to take my purse with me to the bathroom.

I thought I had found "my all-day flavor" because right out of the mailbox there was one that was light and satisfying, so I ordered two large bottles. Unfortunately, as the flavor steeped, it became much heavier and I find I like it a lot less. I bought a big bottle of flavorless juice, too, so I'll try cutting it with that to see if it becomes the flavor I loved again.

All in all, this has been a great week with a lot of trial and error. I found a couple of flavors that I like, some that I don't like, and discovered which carts work best for me. I wish vaping was a little less complicated, but even with all the filling, cleaning, dripping, and a few mouthfuls of burnt taste, I still don't see myself ever lighting an analog again.

I am an ex-smoker. Yay!
