there is currently only on type of e-cigarette available local at this time, smokestik, and i was wondering if its worth the $100 dollar starter kit or should i find one online? my concern is the quality and availabilty of part and flavors and so on. please help me!!!8-o

Definitely get one online. There are several great types and a huge array of trustworthy vendors, and most ship pretty rapidly. Check out the supplier section of this forum and read up on the feedback some of these guys have. If you can tell us a little bit about what you are looking for / what's important to you, we can probably help steer you toward a good vendor. Also, check out the stickies in this forum for a good primer. The stickies put a lot of information at your fingertips so you don't have to root through thousands of posts. Whatever you decide, getting away from the analogs is a good thing. Welcome to ECF.

I agree it's nice to support the local business but I'd be concerned with post sale support, warranty, supplies.

If the model is something available on line for supplies and such - that wouldn't be bad.

But like many have already said here....a bit pricey for your first, starter kit.

i decided to order the m401 from truesmoker.com! i checked out the one locally and it doesnt have refillable cartridges and that is something i kinda liked about the others. i didnt want to have to keep buying them 5 for $10 and just toss them when there done. thanks alot for all the advice.

You'll like that one. I have one and can't seem to put it down. I actually made myself sick yesterday from vaping too much.

I bought one today from a local vender, because I was not going to spend money on another pack of analogs. I think I paid more then I could have found online, but I have it today not a week from today. I am waiting on several others I ordered to be fair. This is my first in hand and well, I think I will be analog free tomorrow after by batteries are charged properly. I didn't mind the premium for convenience and the lesson I was taught at the shop.
