Lost control and filled up another basket full of goodies! Not like I was even getting close to a break even point in savings yet, but... at least hubby thinks I've still only spent out the same amount (after almost two months of so many shipments received?)... he keeps telling everyone "she's only spent about $350-400..." If only that were true... yeah, maybe in the first two weeks!!!

Yay! Finally get to try those elusive CE2 cartos!!!

Another PT (gotta see this blue LoL), and hadda grab a matching cone!

Let the obsession live on!!!!

edit: OK, curiosity got me... looked at my account on LF, and totalled all my orders since the first (11/1, rec'd 11/4 - beat that at $2.99 shipping anyone!)... totalled up all the "items" column (pre-shipping, pre-reviews credits, I think...) and came in over $600. Whoa... LoL BIG Oops... of course, about $60 of that are the Riva gifts for others, but still... and my spreadsheet that includes savings for that first 2 wks where I'd only cut back on analogs, is showing a whopping $300 savings since 11/4. LoL:blink:

You'll get there. In my first 3 months I spent just about the same as I did in the next 9 and I include evertything - even the tube of Noalox and the empty teabags I never ended up using.

I haven't spent a penny in the last month. (Okay, there are some flavors calling my name but I'm not listening until I make a bigger dent in the stash I already have.)

I think I have spent about 250 for our first month. It just takes so much on getting everything set up, enough supplies and enough juices. This next month I will be spending another 230 for juices and supplies. I am glad that we don't have a CC because I probably would have put us into debt right now. Being a new vapor and all the little cool pv's and supplies out there, not to mention all the hundreds of different juices to try. *falls over from excitement*

this happens to me on a monthly basis, which is a lot better than the daily, then weekly basis it happened when i first started out.

Oh yeah, I've gotten past the daily orders... finally... not sure that I've gone a full 2 wks yet - or might just have until today ;)

Oh, $250 in first month? I think I hit that by the 4th day LoL

CC - oh yeah, quite dangerous to have when starting up a new hobby ;) Don't think I'm in too grave a danger yet - hubby is happy to supplement me if needed, as I'm not makin' our house stink anymore! Not to mention, he's not kissin' an ashtray on a daily basis. (he never smoked, poor thing, yet put up with me smoking for the 15 yrs we've been together!)

No doubt I'll get there - when is the fun question LoL tube of Noalox? OK - gonna have to google that one! Hmmm... I'm assuming you read about that on this forum?

Forgot, Sunday I'd ordered an ultrasonic cleaning machine from amazon. Guess that KINDA counts as an ecig related purchase, but I'm not gonna count it! I've wanted one for years for jewelry, etc - atomizers just put it over the edge as worth purchasing now LoL

Wow, what self-control you have... a WHOLE MONTH without purchasing a thing?

It is easy to get a little carried away in the beginning. After the first 3 months I started putting aside $25 a week, which is less the what I was spending on smokes. Now I limit myself to what is in that account to spend.

What a splendid idea! Since it's still so fun, and I'm still experimenting with different hardware and juices, I might start at $30 or 35 ;), which as you said, its still less than we were spending!

Now, thinking s'more - I'm going to have to go back through all these receipts from ALL the vendors, not just the $600 to this one, and really put the brakes on a lil' bit LoL I'm more than stocked on juices to get me thru, as well as PG and VG, nic and no nic, and more flavorings than one could even dream of... I could almost start up my own local shop LoL

The friend that turned me onto the eGo had stopped by (this was even before my last 4 or 5 orders came in), and was literally laughing at my collection of goodies so far! I don't think they'd bought anything more than the one starter kit (eGo) and then maybe some juices. He said at the time to "get with him and he'd show me all about how to buy higher nic and cut it down, to save money. Well, I think I kinda slammed right on past that learning curve, and went hog wild!

Yup, one would think - unless my friend was referring to the unflavored nic juices - and the F-Art flavorings, etc - a la DIY

I'm stocked with a bit of everything at this point. I could probably stretch the nic PG & VG I have, if it were to be banned tomorrow, at least a good long while... but then I'd be soon looking at figuring out a way of getting the nic out of gum and patches and into juices!

Noalox is an ointment type thing that you buy in a hardware store. It keeps the threads from seizing up. Apparently, it's semi-essential with aluminum. I finally got it when I bought my Rivas. The cones were a smidge tight when they came now they are smoooooth. (Note: do not put it on the atomizer/cartomizer threads.)

It's a bit easier to exercise self-control when you have just under 1/2 gallon of e-liquid in the house. I'm actually vaping by date purchased right now to make sure I finish them before they start to go bad. I've finished everything from January-March and only have a little from April left. When I finish that and May's stash, I'll start to consider buying some more.

As far as hardware goes, I have 4 brand new LF Riva batteries plus my stock 510s and 801s from when I started vaping a year ago (in 4 days.) I've started using 3 of the atomizers that came with the Rivas but have one left plus a box of atties I bought from LF at the same time plus all my old atties (some of which need a serious cleaning.) I also have a collection of unused cartomizers. So the only thing I'll probably buy in the next month is a few li-ion batteries for my mod. The ones I have aren't holding a charge any longer.

That is a lot of juice. I hope we at some point can have a stock like that. Its just that it doesn't work to well when there is only on just told my parte income. Lol we agreed that when my partner starts working that we are going to stock up.

It's too much juice. It's a food product. Unlike cigarettes, e-liquid doesn't have formaldehyde to help embalm it and you. No one seems to know yet what the shelf life is, but there is one. In your case there are two vapers in the household so you probably won't end up as overstocked as I am.

Very true, but I do want to have a three month supply stocked up for us.

I figure.... now that Im off the smokes... Everything I spend on vaping, is just buying me more time.

Good point. However, I'm now my own biggest danger, especially when sprinting out to the mailbox in icy weather!

LoL

How is da foot? How ya feeling???

I rest my case.

The moral of this story, kids, is: don't be me.

Yup... guess I'm lucky... pick up my mail just before pullin' in the driveway... and if it's too big for the box, its' on the front porch, right next to the door!

Let the USPS tracking stalking begin!
