The thinned option was tested on protanks. I am hesitant to add more options to the checkout, I don't want to overwhelm people, but if you need a mix that is thicker than thin and thinner than thick, just leave a comment with your order. These are all made to order anyway, requests like that are no problem.

Perhaps offer an advanced button that gives more selections when selected? I understand your point though. People don't want to be overwhelmed.

In case anyone is wondering, I found the Crunchberry Lemon took about a week to steep and the Orange Tic Tac took about a week and a half. Both flavors are amazing after these time periods, but tasted kind of like unripe fruit before that. Can't wait to try the Twisted and Vanilla Chai (trying to wait two weeks at least).

Regarding naturally occurring diacetyl in flavor extracts, I have somewhat mixed feelings on that. Diacetyl is not good for you in any amount. Kind of (not really but kind of) like UV radiation in sunlight - not good in any amount, but not significant until crossing some theoretical threshold.

Every recorded case of popcorn lung (as far as I'm aware) was caused by massive chronic inhalation of artificial butter that was all diacetyl. But nobody gets it from JUST sniffing a bag of popcorn, nobody gets it from cooking on the stovetop with real butter. So far nobody is known to develop popcorn lung as a result of inhalation of natural butter fumes, although logically I assume it to be possible.
maybe a part of the answer Emission of diacetyl (2,3... [Int J Occup Environ Health. 2010 Jul-Sep] - PubMed - NCBI

I am comfortable using caramel or butterscotch as a minor note, but I personally choose not to develop full-on custards. That's why I don't have a creme caramel flavor. As well, many fruits such as apple, black currants, cantaloupe, and blackberry contain acetoin, a buttery note that can break down into diacetyl.
completely agree with this and customers can chose if they want to vape it or not .

This is an argument people make against vaping organic and natural flavors. But to me, the history suggests that replacing hundreds of compounds present in the real deal with 2 or 3 is like keeping all your eggs in one basket, and when one of those compounds turns out to be dangerous you're at a much higher concentration than if it were one compound out of 200.

organic vaping is a completely different approach because it's easier to know the safety of 3 /4 isolated compounds than 200.
But I think organic is the way to go even if it's not the easiest , there's a lot of research that need to be done and we're some of the guinea pig.

Now should I have warnings on the website? Maybe, I don't really know. But this is exactly the kind of open discussion I want to see. Our community is so (rightly) terrified of repressive legislation and public scaremongering that sometimes inquiries about health effects of flavors and additives are hushed so as to not attract negative attention. I'm not scared of vaping blackberry because of traces of acetoin. I inhale massive diacetyl every time I go to the movies, even without buying popcorn. In my opinion, the tiny hint of it in apples is not any worse that smelling popcorn from a distance.

I don't know about the warning on the website but this kind of open discussion is way better than those brand putting "diacetyl free" when it's in their products. I'v asked MF about certificate of analysis but it's only provide with large bulk order.

This definitely needs to develop into a blog entry on the site....
PS Chelar - don't be scared! I'm pretty much convinced that the diacetyl-free artificial butter flavor isn't "safe" either - I believe that no custard or butter flavor is. But screw it, try em anyway! Once in a while anyway. At least you're mixing it and you know what's in it.

:) I've already tasted it and it's delicious but i'm to afraid to fill a full tank of 5% butterscotch juice.
Hope my english is not too bad, it's a bit difficult for me.

A bientot ;)

I placed an order for Crunchberry Lemon and Strawberry. I'm excited to try them. Once I saw the transparency of ingredients I was sold. Also, the Medicine Flower flavors have been bookmarked in my browser for a while. I just couldn't justify spending 20 bucks for a 15mL flavor extract. But, I sure as hell have no issues buying a premixed 15mL for 8 bucks with free shipping! Considering the quality of ingredients that is an awesome price!

5% sounds high for medicine flower flavors. I know I personally vape lower flavor levels than a lot of people, and as a result even though I get the balance of flavors right (I think lol) I need outside help getting the overall flavor level right. But 5% sounds a little high. I imagine 2.5% would do it, and if you supplement with saline I imagine 1.5-2% would be the right spot. Another thought would be experimenting with it as a background flavor - it's less potent than the caramel, it might make a good background note with vanilla and cinnamon, or perhaps an apple-pear-butterscotch. Just some thoughts.

Also your english is just fine, and considering I only speak english and spanish it's way better than my french.

That Blueberry Creme needs to go live ASAP.

I was too lazy to re-wick dripper and ended up mixing my Blueberry Ice Cream sample with Vanilla Chai. That's a surprisingly good combo. I'm going to have to see if I can order a bottle of that stuff mixed together.

Advice taken. Blueberry Creme is live - working on a proper description, but it's live.

Now I gotta go mix some with the vanilla chai. That sounds really good.
[edit for grammar]

been vaping on the strawberry for a day and its awesome! tastes like a real strawberry!

should i expect the flavor to get stronger after it steeps for a while?

Everyone else seems to think so. I find that true with the vanilla more than about any. I do find that the flavor matures and the flavor I'm looking to get out of it becomes more clear. I don't know if that makes any sense - it's like, to me, the strength of the flavor is the same, but the profile just develops.

We have another review on YouTube, this one by Sugar Vapor.

This was hard for me to watch. I kept yelling at the computer. She would say something like, "The Mocha was the worst, it was my least favorite. I don't like coffee, or anything with coffee in it, and can't stand the smell of coffee, so I didn't like Mocha. But if you like coffee, you would probably like this." And I'm like why'd you have me send you Mocha?

Thank you for the quick reply. I have a few more questions. Does the added water in the thin option affect flavor or TH? Also, does saline affect TH?

The water may affect throat hit minimally. It doesn't affect flavor, but I can taste the difference if I use Walmart distilled water instead of Penta.

The saline affects mouth feel more than throat hit.

I placed my first order the other day and the goods are on the truck now. I can hardly wait.

Same thing here! I hate to knock things about flavor since it's really subjective but as I watched that review, I found myself talking to my monitor - "Why would you order/ask for a flavor that you know you don't like? And why would you knock it (It's the worst)??" Sheesh, that's good humor!

The goods arrived and oh did my heart sink!!

Upon opening the package I was brutality assaulted by one of the most delicate bouquets of pure lust that I have ever nosed in my entire life! ............a gentle waft of anise, a warm hint of chocolate.....oh lawdy, I'm freaking dyin over here.......and now I must WAIT ? ? aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!

You Sir, Mr jcmccord235, you are an evil, evil man :D

For now, I have resisted the urge to purge and upon donning my ceremonial Smoking Jacket (of rich Corinthian Leather, mind you), I have removed these little bottles of joy to the safety of their own OSV Shrine located dead center in my walk-in Juice Cellar. :2cool: So now I ponder, what next? Any hints on steeping? Should I build a time machine or something??

----I love the bottles by the way.:)
I may be a noob, but I have dabbled with DIY liquids in the past and I'd say with the fancy droppers and the artsy fartsy labels, these babies are by far the finest bottles in my collection. Nicely done sir, nicely done.

And when I started reading this I thought it was going to be over the top.:2cool: Thank you.

As far as steeping, I usually sample my juice fresh, as in minutes old. I like to know what changes and if I only try it after steeping I won't know what changed. Made myself some Twisted yesterday, sampled it. Oh, right. That's why I steep you. Into the the dungeon you go.

I don't use any tricks to speed steep, but I assume that all the standard ones work. There's no alcohol to leach off. Twisted might benefit from a little breathing since the rose needs to settle down, but that happens with time too. I imagine heat being more beneficial to Toka-Cola and Vanilla Chai, just for melding the many flavors. But I am not speaking from real experience, just kind of figuring.

Who is brave enough to try mango peach habanero? I have a couple samples I need feedback on. I'm not brave enough to do all my own research on this one - I need help.

Caged, I'm sending one in the order I'm packing for you today.

Next two comments asking get a free sample sent.
edit: Samples are 3mg, and with the throat hit on this 3mg is a pretty good place to be.

My husband, a very infrequent smoker, but lover of things speecy and spicey, has selflessly volunteered for your noble test. Send it thither, good sir (I believe you have our address). I'm currently on a zero-nic diet, in preparation for a medical procedure.

Awesome. I'm excited and scared at the same time. Can't wait to try it though.
