I have only limited experience, since I'm a new vaper, but I have both a Kanger Mini Genitank and a EMOW tank. They both use the same coils. The emow tank is great. smooth airflow control, decent vapor and flavor. I like them and will buy a couple more for different flavors. I don't really like the mini genitank as much. it doesn't hit quite as well, and gets hot a lot faster. The airflow control is really unsmooth and sometimes whistles just a little bit. it's a little too small, and it's chromed metal instead of stainless.

I've also found that I prefer the 1.8ohm coils over the 1.5ohm coils, just a slightly cooler vapor and slight longer battery life.

I picked up a Protank 2 a while ago and it's awesome. I just got a Mini Protank 3 which uses a dual coil atomizer and it's pretty nice. They both can be dissembled completely and are easy to clean. I like the bottom-coil feature, but I wish I could put liquid in from the top. They don't seem to leak. I'd definitely recommend getting either the PT2 or PT3, depending if you want single (PT2) or dual coil (PT3) atomizers. I hear good things about the Aerotank series as well.

I like and use Kanger clearos. Aerotanks are always in my daily rotation. If you prefer single-coil atty, I suggest getting a Kanger airflow control valve to improve performance--Kanger makes 5 different kinds. Just pick the one that's compatible with your topper. :)

The thing with the protank 2 (at least in my experience) is you have to keep them full. Once they get half full they start losing the vapor, and once they get a quarter full they start gurgling. I think it has something to do with the vacuum being lost. My minis and evods don't react that way so there's that.

The reason for that is the 510 connection on the protank 2, the minipro2 does not have that problem because it uses the ego type base. On the old pt2 510 the rubber insulator grommet at the bottom of the coil by the pin gets squashed outward slightly when the device is connected...which causes a restriction of the airflow through the coil...which, in turn, causes too much eliquid to be vacuumed into the wick, and the flooding and gurgles happen.

THE CURE for protank2 and the original protank is to replace that damned 510 base with an aerotank base. This base eliminates insulator grommet air flow restriction problem completely. I suggest the v2 or v3 aerotank base because they're all stainless and the threads hold up a lot better than the v1 which is chromed soft brass.

I see the link katya provided is out of stock on the v2 base, so heres another source you could try...
Kanger Upgraded Stainless Steel Original Aerotank Base.

You can also put a minipro base on a pt2 to get around the air flow restriction issue, but it looks a bit goofy. Works great though.

I've used Evods, Evod-2's and the EMOW. Never had an issue with them other than tank cracking on the first two, but that happens with any plastic tank. Single coils I find give you a smoother vape, the duals give you more vapor and it's definitely a warmer vapor. I've got a protank 2 coming in the mail hopefully later today and I can't wait to try it since I love evods but i keep losing tanks to cracking.

I thought eVod 2 was glass, dual coil? No?

Edit--never mind--I looked it up!

Carry on!

I like the EVOD glass for a quick grab and my secondary flavors. They use the kanger v2 dual coils which are great. You can replace the EVOD glass atomizer base with the Aerotank mini V2 base to get an adjustable airflow. What I don't like about the EMOW and Mini Glass: Can't completely disassemble which makes cleaning more difficult.

If you're looking for quantity, EVOD Glass. If you're looking for more features, Aerotank Mini or Aerotank V2. Finally, the new Kanger BPDC coils will fit the Aerotank V2, something to think about.

I have found that dual coils do provide a bit more flavor than single. I have an EVOD 1 tank with a single coil 1.8 ohm and an EVOD glass V2 dual coil 1.5 ohm with the upgraded dual coil. The glass does give more flavor and vapor.
They are relatively inexpensive, I think I got mine for about $8. Roughly 1/3 the cost of other tanks mentioned. I Purchased the Aerotank Mini from a local B&M for around $30. Which is a great tank.
The coil is the same as the Protank/Aerotank.
The Evod tanks are very similar in looks. The glass tank has less capacity. Approx. 1.6mL for the glass as apposed to 2.?mL for the standard plastic evod.

Here is where I purchased mine from....

I started with T3s which were pretty good but soon found some of my juices were tank crackers

I then progressed to a protank 2 with airflow control which was great being glass. At this point I then got in to re-buidling my kanger coils another plus.

Now I have settled on the EMOW Mega (i have 5 one of each colour !!) that sits lovely on my iSticks being 19mm wide. After reading how everyone seems to love the aspire BVC I thought about jumping ship to try them but the "penny pincher" in me said hey why not just re-build the kanger coil to a vertical coil.

Gave it a go and I am now in vape heaven. Long live Kanger !!

Use bottom coil Kangers mainly now. I think they are a reliable and affordable option. I use 2 varieties of Kanger mini tanks.Evod glass mini (dual coil) and mini protank 2 (single coil). I replace the metal drip tip with a black delrin one (a stainless C twist battery with a stainless EVod glass and the black drip tip is a smart looking ecig rig- for folks that care about such things). Just one thing- I thought my first evod glass out of the box was really funky tasting- not even vapable to me. So out of the box I recommend taking all parts except the coil/wick and give repeated hot water wash and rinse with dish liquid for the tank and coil holder followed by a boil- and a boil only on the coil/wick. Then blow dry. A work in time is still needed before they perform at their best. Be really careful filling, do it very slowly with a good eye on how much is going in and do not get even the slightest bit in the hole and do not overfill. I agree with the person who said go with the 1.8 over the 1.5 on their dual coil tanks. I found 1.5 was more likely to burn juice or wick. One of the things I like about the minis is they don't take a lot of juice to fill and you can vape the tank down pretty low.

No problems with any of my KangerTech tanks. Never had a leak, only time I ever flooded one was while I was working out on the gym in the 28 degree weather and came into the warm house but even then I just cranked up the watts and opened her up, got some HUGE hits and was done. I have all the Aero's up to the Giant, no Protanks other than a few PT 3 minis, no Turbo or SubTank ........ yet!. Maybe when they get cheap in a few months. I buy all my coils on the cheap from dhgate, they are fine and simply toss them when done without a second thought..

Coils can dribble out the bottom when they go out so I do prefer the enclosed Airflow bases.

I started with 2 T3S tanks, still have them going strong. As long as you don't put tank cracker juice in them, the T3S is a great tank to start out with. Got a mini Protank 3 and most recently a full sized Protank 2. I'll probably get an AFC base for the Protank 2 soon, but so far it vapes pretty well out of the box. I'm saving my old heads for when I start rebuilding.
