I believe the xtar charger is 600 mAh the TR-001 IS 500mAh,, only a diff of 100 mAh on the output, not a big deal, TR-001 IS A FINE CHARGER , inexpensive and does all Batts, Xtar is also good, either or

My Xtar is 1000mAh/500mAh (switchable). Set at 1 it charges an 18650 1600maH battery in about 2 hours flat vs 4-5 hours if I set it to .5

yup,,, but there is nothing wrong with the longer charge on these kind of Batts, some even say it is better,,, 6-12 half a dozen either will work anf the TR-001 is less expensive,, heck I dont know about others but I have a 5gal drywall spackle bucket full of Batts myself :) never would I only run two Batts personally, I like keeping a nice rotation, just saying, so charger doesnt matter much either for me, been running two of the TR-001's for 3 yrs not one issue, XTar is probably better but also cost more and both do the same thing, nothing against the XTar if thats how they want to roll gthompson, its all good man

Well it says in the Zmax's description that 2 flat top or button top IMR batteries will fit in the Zmax. But IMR batteries don't have the protection circuit, do they? Sooo... I'm going to just say order your batteries else ware unfortunately :/ For the price of the mod, its still a good deal considering the mod is selling for $130 at most places.

You can order the AW IMR 18650 batteries from Super-T manufacturing for $8.43 each and the shipping is only $2.09 which is pretty cheap for shipping, I tried to find you the cheapest shipping I could.

I am not sure, As long as I could charge 1 while using the other I'd be good. Since I am self employed, Unless I am shooting a wedding or a photo shoot I work out of my home so pretty easy access to a plug in.
How much vape time are you expecting to need off one battery?

M&S,

Here is the thing with Batts, they have an internal resistance, so when that starts to rise they dont perform as well, they will still put out 4.2V but it wont last as long and that internal resistance starts to Rise, so keeping like 4-6 in rotation is a good way to use them, you shouldnt take a Batt right out of your Mod and slam it right into the charger, or right out of the charger and right into the Mod, this is like constant use charging then draining, Resting them in between use and charging is the very best way to run & charge Batts it will keep that internal resistance lower and they will last longer, this is why I say to not only run 2 Batts,,, up to you but what I say is true

I don't own a zmax, so I have no idea how efficient it is, and that makes a difference. I have a Young June Lavatube, It's a nice device, but it eats batteries. I get 7-8 hours off a 1600mAh battery with it. I have a L-Rider Lavatube (same thing as that Torpedo you're looking at), and it gets 10-12 hours from that same battery. My Provari will usually get 14-15 hours. So the device makes a difference. I'd expect that zmax to be somewhere between the L-Rider and the Provari as far as battery life. If you get a 2000mAh you should be able to add 3-4 hours to those numbers.

That's vaping 5-6ml per day. Just as a point of reference.
