haha well you needed this. I have a mod on the way already so I cant afford another for a long time. Maybe. lol. I have a LOT of mods on my mind that I'd like to get ASAP.. But ASAP is unfortunately not rational for the way my wallet is filling. I have a feeling you and your husband will be extremely satisfied with the Zmax and the tank you've purchased. If I were you, I'd contact the shop you've ordered that eGo kit from and let them know you haven't yet received it. Right away. Get it documented asap.

As for the tank you got- Dual coil cartomizers were truly made for higher voltages so its a good match with the Zmax. Like Kiwi said though, you can now order higher ohm replacement cartos for that tank and you'll really like using the higher resisted cartomizers at the higher voltages. It'll produce warmer vapor, and higher ohm cartos typically last longer as well. The vivi nova tanks and/or the rebuildable smoktech rebuildable titans are or may be in your future thoughhh ;)

I've got a feeling as soon as your husband sees the Zmax hes going to be the one wanting to use it and you two will be fighting over it haha. Its elegant and manly at the same time. Its a beautiful device and the 8th menu variable wattage option is going to be fantastic for the both of you. I do really recommend ordering some vivi novas though because they last longer, are less hassle than cartomizers, and they are generally cheaper in the long run. But for out of the home, I think carto tanks look nice.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread. I think most of us will. Theres no better threads on this forum than the threads where you get to watch & possibly help a new vaporer through the journey. :) Your gonna be so happy with the Zmax. It could almost bring a damn tear to my eyes, seriously, lol. I can't wait to hear how you like it. Keep us updated. Good luck.

Just last weekend I was asking this same question myself, lol. I had a 20% discount with Totally Wicked from a previous purchase, and was leaning towards the Torpedo pretty hard, but like you found the Zmax a pretty sweet device as well. Problem for me was that I couldn't get into the Zmax with batts/chargers/tanks etc etc for under like $160 even with the discount. I actually finally settled on a SS Vmax from Crystal Clear Vaping. Came with 2 batteries, an extra pair was like $9 and a charger with the ECF discount code totaled like $103. Service was awesome, shipped the same day I ordered it, was here 3 days later. I ordered the Unboxed model to allow USPS first class shipping rather than UPS ground. The only thing I can say about it is....wow! After eGo batteries this thing is amazing. It's weird how much difference .1 or .2 volts makes. I <3 my Vmax!

D'oh! I see you just ordered one....that's what I get for not reading all 12 pages of this thread >.< Good luck with your Zmax, I'm sure you guys will love it =D

Sooooooo stoked!! It has been ordered

Hooray! I don't suppose that he is expecting anything in return - wink, wink. Just make sure you don't let him take control of it, you'll never get it back (kinda like the remote for the TV).

Just keep telling him 'Remember, you don't like the menu system...'

I haven't tried the T3s yet so am not sure about the fitting. The Zmax has a recess at the top that Ego size accessories fit into. If the T3 is a 510/Ego thread - which many Ego accessories are, then you could use a T3. Maybe some-one can help out on that.

Couldn't let this whole thread pass without saying sumthin. :2cool:

I can't attest to the T3's, but the T2's only have the eGo threading in the skirt - no 510 thread. Can you confirm that the Zmax only has a 510 connection and no male eGo threads? From the pics and due to the recess, I'm concluding that it does not.

Are the Kangers better than the vivi nova at all? Might give one a try if so. Just hate buying an adapter lol.

I have never used a Vivi Nova as I once bought a Vision Stone and was totally turned off by it. I really like the T2's - good vapor and flavor, last a long time if cleaned regularly, and hold almost a days worth of liquid (YMMV). Unfortunately, I bought a bunch of Genesis stuff and have been neglecting them, lately (wimpers heard in the background - T2's seen with tears streaming down their tubes).

I was so overwhelmed with everything and we didn't want to miss the sale, they were selling out so quickly!! We weren't sure WHAT to get! I looked through the site sooo many times that I had a headache but knew I would need something to start with so I looked through 510 connections and picked what I thought was a complete unit and it was pretty....lol Next payday in 2 weeks we plan on getting the Kanger t2 and the vivi nova but again it's VERY confusing so we aren't exactly sure what to do with them when we do get them!
I'ts nice looking. It should work ok. You don't need dual coil cartos with the Zmax tho. The one you've chosen is low resistance. If you are getting tanks then get single coil cartomizers for your tanks next time. With the Zmax you have a lot of power - so you don't need low resistance.

I am super stoked! Hubs already got the email from Mad Vapes that it was shipped FedEx today with the tracking number!! Woohoo!! I emailed Vape Dudes about it and no response so far and they haven't even shipped yet! That order was placed on the 31st and it's STILL processing. I tell ya what, that e-juice better be HELLA good for this ridiculas wait!! I wish I could just cancel the darn order now, but my credit card was already billed on the 31st. NOT Happy with them at all!! I HOPE the batteries ship quickly or we'll be holding a new toy and no way to use it! lol
As far as hubs is concerned.... He said and I quote... "You said it was for me for Christmas" I said then why did I... he said... I just figured that was a bonus! hahahahaha what a turd!!

We ended up spending under $150 after we had to order the batteries and charger elsewhere because Mad Vapes was sold out of them.

What is a Co-op?

A Co-op is where a bunch of people get together and order directly from the manufacturer. They get a quantity discount and the savings are passed on to the people in the co-op. The person that runs the co-op is not expected to make any money off the project, but since he buys and ships to the others, some cost to him is incurred. This is normally passed on to the others in the co-op. And it is not uncommon for members of the co-op to throw in a tip (gratuity) for his efforts.

And yeah, Sennie, that tank you bought was a fine choice, you'll love it. next you need to hit the hardware store, ask them to get you a Saddle Valve so that you can start buying and punching holes into XL cartomizers. Buying cartomizers in 5 packs is much cheaper than buying the replacement pre-punched cartos for cartomizer tanks. Madvapes unfortunately never has 5 packs of XL silver cartomizers in stock, so I end up ordering them elseware, but its worth it. for around $6.99 you can get a 5 pack of Boge cartomizers. I think madvapes has a carto punch in the "NEW" tab for $4.99 right now :) So, if you want, you can get a 5 pack of cartos, buy that madvapes carto punch, and you'll be good to GO to start punching your cartos yourself and save money.

But, if you want to go down the road of trying clearomizers like Kanger or the Stardusts and CE3s and 4s and 5s and 6s and vivi nova tanks and smoktech rebuildable tanks, thats a great option too. I recommend trying both. Get the carto punch (or a saddle valve from the hardware store if its cheaper) and a 5pack or 2 and you'll be really ROCKIN! :) Your gonna love life. Life doesn't get any better than a hot shower with a carto/clearo packed with your favorite juice, mentholated banana or watermelon, backwoods brew tobaccos, chillin in the tub just vapin' on your eGo :) (do NOT bring the Zmax in the tub!!! LOL)

We have a couple of weeks until next payday so it gives me some more time to research what I am doing. At this point I don't think I would know what to do with a punched dohicky..lol
