The EVO batts are fine in terms of charge capacity, but they're ICRs, so they have trouble providing ample current even considering it's a step-down regulator, not a buck/boost. AW IMRs still make a big difference in the EVO.

Thanks for all the great responses and advise everyone! From everything I read here, it looks like the LT is the way for me to go.
