I just started with the Finiti starter kit from Walgreens. Yes, I will probably end up with a billy-badass rig like a twist with cartomizer or some other options, but my question is what can be done with this item? Can I use refillable carts with it? I was thinking I would like a stronger, more flavorful juice, but I see that the atomizer is built into the cart, and the company doesn't have many flavor/strength options.

But for now, I seem to be getting my receptors satisfied. You'll think I am stupid, but after my second smoke-quit of 5 years I am actually starting e-cigs up- in part because those afore-mentioned receptors have driven me up in weight like mad by demanding that I fill them with food... Plus now I have a legal drug to control some rage-flare ups.

Most readily available kits have "808" connections which have male threaded batteries and female threaded cartridges (cartos). 510 connections are more common and you can find adapters to bridge the two, but if you want to keep the battery you have, you might buy "blank 808 cartromizers" online along with whatever juices. Smokeless Image is popular for 808 connections, but you pay a bit more for the customer service they offer.

If you're looking to distance yourself form small batteries, cig-looking set-ups, 510 connections are the way to go. Egos are great for that, as artt says.

Hi Martin,
Everything I've seen says the Finiti is a 510 threaded ecig.
Edit: But apparently its not according to another user.

I just googled your kit, it's a three piece?

If that is the case they are refillable but I would suggest getting cartomizers. Boge LR 2.0 will give you a much better experience. Kanger LR carto's also seem to be quite popular. I wouldn't try dual coil's on those batteries, I doubt they will perform well.

As for better/stronger flavor options, everyone and his brother makes juice. Before starting DIY(making my own juice) I really liked Johnson Creek and Pink Spot Vapors. The most popular juices I see mentioned all the time are Asian RY4, Boba's bounty, Pluid and I heard Gorilla mentioned plenty of time. Personally, my favorite juice is Swagger from Pink Spot which is a deep complex flavor.

I will mention I love dark flavors but I have found most coffee and dark colored flavors to clog up cartomizers and have learned to avoid them.

My first kit was a Finiti. (Yeah, it was a pricey mistake, but I'm man enough to admit it...)

The thread on Finiti e-cigs is NOT a 510. It is NOT an 808 or 901. I don't know what it is, but I cannot screw any 510 carts or attys into my Finiti batteries, and I can't get any of my Finiti cartos to work on any 510-threaded device or adapter I own.

Also, the external diameter of the Finiti gear is smaller than standard 510 or 901 or 808 batteries, so even if you COULD get a 510 carto to work on a Finiti battery, it would look odd, and not be a smooth fit at the thread joint...

The Finiti cartos ARE refillable, but the caps are nearly impossible to get off the cartos without destroying them. I refilled mine with a syringe that had a blunt needle on it, and they are good for two or three refills. But since you can't take the plastic caps out, you can't really boil them to clean them.

I DID succeed in getting my original 3 cartos relatively cleaned out using a syringe with a piece of vinyl tubing on the end, first forcing distilled water and then Everclear through them, but they take FOREVER to dry.

I'm sorry to hear you made the same mistake I did. Unfortunately, there really isn't much alternative for you with a Finiti kit, because they use a form-factor that isn't compatible with anything that most of the vaping world is currently using.

But don't give up. There are other cig-a-like kits out there that perform MUCH better, have longer battery life, and are easier to clean, refill and customize.

I'm a fan of the DSE 901, but the 510 e-cig seems to be becoming the industry standard for cig-a-likes. AquaVapor has some great kits at reasonable prices, but their e-liquid is all Chinese. If you get your kit from a major supplier like AquaVapor, order it with "Blank" cartos (they are not filled with any liquid) and then order your e-liquid from a vendor like Heathers Heavenly Vapors or Alice in Vapeland or Halo or Highbrow or someone like that.

Good luck, and Happy Vaping!
