Two things that keep me from using my Orchid.

1. I have the early version clone with no bottom fill. It's messing to refill.
2. juice capacity. This thing makes the clouds and to do that it drinks the juice. I have to refill it constantly and with the refilling being a pain I just don't bother.

The flavor is excellent (yes, much better than a Fogger V4.) The vapor production is probably the best of any RTA I've ever used. I hope oneday someone get's the idea and does a "MEGA ORCHID." Something that holds about 5-6ML's of juice. That would be a real winner in my book.

I am working with another member here to improve the capacity on the orchid, and in turn make it what it should have been in the first place.I got a couple kayfun quartz kits, and sent them out this morning to the other member, who has the tools and ability to cut glass. In stock form, the full size quartz kit is about 1/4"-3/8" too tall,so he is going to cut it to get the max height while still getting a seal with the chimney. This will do 2 things,1 it will increase the capacity,in stock form i can get 3ml when bottom filling,i figure with the extra height,it may be able to hold at least 4ml,possibly a bit more, not sure yet.2nd it seems that the plastic tank is an issue for alot of people,so using the quartz kit will solve that issue as well.

As far as filling your's,i have the same version as you.Someone posted a while back about bottom filling,so i tried it,and it works great. If you unscrew the base all the way so the threads seperate from the tank, then you pull it apartjust enough to fit a blunt tip needle in there, you can fill it with a syringe and blunt tip needle or i use a needle top cap on my bottle.Just keep the juice level at least 1/4" below the threads of the tank so it doesnt get forced out when you screw the base back down. This method works very good, and no leaks.

Which version? There is a v2 and a v3 now,the v2 they say has a little bigger juice channels and it has the bottom fill screw, the v3 is basically a dressed up v2 haha,it has a different top cap,and a kayfun tank instead of the frosted fat tank. You can find the v2 on ebay for under $20,the only place i have seen the v3 is from fasttech.

The Orchid is nice but like many have said it sucks through the juice with a small tank capacity. I can only manage to get 1.8ml into my V1. never had any leaks ...yet. V4 is suppose to be a larger tank and thats the one I would wait for if I were to do it all over again. The Fogger 5 looked promising but I think the pins and springs are going to turn out to be a bad design. I like all my atomizers for different reasons and different environments. All except for my Taifun GT (ugly threads showing through the plastic tanks, too tall, and the sleeve spins causing dry hits) and my drippers (too much work for me). Fill and go for me!

I have both, I prefer the Orchid for the much, much more airy draw. My wife won't give up her KFL clone, it's her favorite by far, better throat hit for her.

I also have both KFL+ w/ drilled out center pin and side air holes and I just received my Tobeco Orchid v2 from 101vape two days ago. I love lung hits so I have to give the win to the Orchid. My gf now uses the KFL+ lol

Which way are you filling it?Top fill gives horrible capacity, but if you unscrew the bottom base and pull it out just enough to get a blunt tip needle or even a long tip cap in there a bit,you should be able to get very close to 3ml in it.

Just got orchid v4 from eciggity. I'm getting 5-6 mils and only refilling once a day now. Great flavor and airflow as usual with Orchids. Extra capacity is fantastic. It's only marginally larger than the v2 v3. Bit of a pain to fill as it airlocks pretty easy (filling with bottom screw), but I have a top filling kayfun cap on the way from fasttech which should solve all problems. I think this is THE ONE, finally, I've been searching for. Will report back once I have the top cap received and installed.

Orchid v4 is nice with that bigger tank capacity, but to be honest, for me, all orchid versions are good, the only think i don't like orchid is frosted tank style, and it's not big issue since I can just replace and/or swapping between my kayfuns (I can say I'm collecting orchid's chimney, short and long, so swaping kayfun tank with orchid is no problem). I have all orchid versions and some kayfun lite+, they're great for me. Kayfun lite+ v2 with dual airhole is my "single coil orchid" :)

And I don't think you want to run orchid with single coil... Quad pole in it, is designed perfectly for dual coil build. It's bit tricky with wicks, but I think you will like alot orchid. Alot of vapor, alot of flavor :)

I love the Orchid V4....I agree about it being a PITA to fill. But with this version you can fill it like a Squape or Taifun. The chimney is locked into place and doesn't move because of the drip tip. So turn it over take off the base...not a drop will leak and fill it that way. It is Awesome....we don't have drain the tank if we need to rebuild and we have the option of refilling it like a Squape. I really like the looks of it too.

Been happily using my Kayfuns (6) for a few months. Just ordered Orchid v3 and v4 to spice things up a bit.
What I have read so far looks promising.:)

*I know, the V3 has next to no volume, but neither do a couple of my Nano KF's so I've already accounted for that. It will be good for testing new DIY flavors before committing to the bigger tanks.

So I have an authentic Kayfun and the avidvapor DX top fill kit, here's a pic

The kit came with an extended chimney that actually screws in to the top cap, rather than press fitting into an o-ring. Will this fit any orchid? I have always SUCKED at building kayfuns, and have moderate success doing a dual 30 gauge coil for 0.9 ohms on my dna30. Sometimes I can get 17 watts, sometimes I can barely get 10 without a dry hit. No leaking issues though. As long as the base has the same threads as the kayfun base, it should work fine in theory, and I'll be able to sell my whole kayfun

Just got an Tobeco Orchid V2 to play with today, and so far I'm enjoying it. Flavor wise, it's much better then the Fogger V4, but still not quite on par with the Aqua. The build is also easier then the Aqua or Fogger. Wicking I thought might be a challenge because of the limited realestate, but surprisingly, it seems pretty forgiving. I just left the tails stuffed directly over the liquid channels, no leaks or dry hits with a .6Ω build, running about 25 watts. The only downside for me personally, is that it's a fairly open draw, and I prefer mouth to lung hits, that, and the Orchid's capacity sucks.

I'm happy with the purchase (It was cheap), but the Kayfun and Lemo still win for flavor, and to choose between the three, the Lemo is the easy choice.
